Im swapping my blown engine for a non blown one shortly (:surrender:), turbos will come off and be rebuilt, thoughts on exhaust manifold options while its accessable?

Where has the time gone? I gave myself what i thought would be plenty of time to get my car finished, now with 2 weeks left till JAE and this weather is hindering my progress on the bodywork. Im away working for 4 days next week so im running out of time. If im lucky, my car will be going in beige high build primer :no: but at least it will be all one colour:laugh: Hopefully my mate will have his double garage built by the weekend, which he said i can use to spray it, so fingers crossed. Im going regardless, just dont take the piss out of my car if its not done in time :lol:

Hey guys, I'm trying to find a company that sells outer sills or something, I did hear about some ebay repair panels from here but I can't find anything. If someone could actually point me to the right direction it would be really helpful :) I'm about to chop and weld new panels and I guess it would be easier to buy an almost direct fit panel than fabricate them from sheet metal. Hi I have not had much luck so far in selling my mk1 gs300 sport but am now interested in findning out if anyone has had any experience of selling a private number plate to one of these companies that buy or offer them as I might get a few quid for the private plate that is on it. Can anyone recommend any good companies that they might have used or know are ok?

hi all what would you say the original colour was of the tops of the interior panels (i.e dash,tops of door cards, tops or rear side panels etc) mine look like a brown sort of colour although i've been told it was prob originally black, the reason i'm asking is because on the tops of my rear panels the covering has all shrunk and despite heating and trying to restretch it all it has all just shrunk back again when it got hot, also does anybody know where i can get the orginal covering material? as i have someone offer to recover them but with vinyl/leatherette it's that or i just try and get replacement panel tops cheers all

watched this tonight and they have a bike show in Bentley in Essex on the green. outside the pub was a red zed with a high level spoiler only get a quick glimpse of it but wondered if it was a members car from the area

New front track rod ends getting fitted tomorrow and spent 20 minutes today doing final mot changes can you spot them?:biggrin:

can it be removed with the engine in situ, but the gearbox, clutch and flywheel removed? Gotta fit a new rear oil seal, and would like to junk the EGR really...

Seems to be a large range in the prices I'm seeing in the FS section here, so i'm unsure on values these days. It's a 91 JDM, 2+2 auto TT, ~110,000km, pearl white. Had very little use and been garaged since it came off the boat in 2001 so the body doesn't have any rust at all. Has leather, original deep pile mats, targa bags. Full 60k service was done a while ago, only done 50 miles since then though. New cam belt, waterpump, v belts, all that stuff. 18" wheels, 7mm tread all round. Bad parts.. Rear spoiler is ****ed, needs replacement. Drivers door dented and scratched. Drivers seat bolster worn. Is it going to be worth 2k?

Hi everyone, Im thinking of having a go at my rear arches before the weather gets too bad. I've looked on the various threads, they go on about installing them, and there are lots of links to expired ebay buys, but I cant seem to find any repair panel suppliers or shops or active ebay buys! Anywhere! Im looking to purchase the whole kit, and I'll get everything done in one go. Does anyone have any contacts? or know if any of our traders are supplying the arch/sill repair kits? Hi people, Ok, my 300 has been suffering from a non firing cylinder when cold, and lately not at all. I first put the problem down to my airfilter getting damp and upsetting the maf, but this was not the case. I investigated fully today and this is what i found..... Engine not running on no.2 cylinder (first cylinder on right as you look at engine), so i checked the readings on the coilpack connector and found to be the same as the rest, thus good electrical connection and signal. So i pulled the plug on no.2 and was in good condition and wet from fuel. So i checked the injectors with a screwdriver for the "clicking", was good on all 6 but, found no.2 was clicking …

when i brake quite hard i get a strange noise that could only be described as a honk or a cat meow... weird, the car seems to brake very well and doesnt do it on normal braking. Has anyone had this before? when im stationary and i pump the pedal hard it sounds like im pumping up a tyre under the car at the rear?? thanks James

Received a few samples today of alcantara today which is what im going to be using on the interior. Just got to choose what shade to go for now on a black zed. Im thinking of going quite dark now to keep it subtle.

Hi All, Due to circumstances may need to reluctantly sell (too much month at the end of the money as they say!). Just wondered ,if it does come to it how much I could hopefully achieve.I know any cars only worth what someone wants to pay you for it but would be grateful for an approx realistic price. Hey folks i have managed to get hold of a manual gearbox which i am going to overhaul as the bearings on it where starting to wear. Is there any helpful aids on the internet or any members that have rebuilt these gearboxes before. Not really gonna be a problem splitting it apart it would just be helpful to know whos brain to pick if i can across any problems. Cheers Marty

Right sold my car today to a guy that is going to tour europe in it with a load of other zeds mainly z31s. Turns out the rally is in support of a hospice or something. So my zed is going to raise money for a good cause and he is staying in contact with pics of the tour. Turns out the guy races a ferrari, gtst skyline to. Owns a 3000gt, collects classic jap cars. Seen the pics of some of his cars and wow. He really appreciate the condition of my car having seen lots of them. True petrol heads and nice guy, car has gone to a good home. I will miss this car and forum, made some good friends. On a plus i may be the proud owner TL1000R. Will upload pic if i get it.
