apart from the obvious, are there any visual external differences between a tt block and an na block. so that if they were sat out of teh car stripped down. for example an engine production number stamped on the block?

Just been looking through some pictures I have taken along the way, had her 3 years now, but was working away for about a year of that, breif history : I bought her, quite cluelessly as I didn't know Zeds then, with apparently a crackered turbo, smoking alot from one side, turned out to a rather large hole in piston no. 4, so it's been a graft, but lots of fun and learning re-building her, also pretty much everything had been broken or bodged, well that's where my OCD came in and worked a treat! Manual conversion too, everything done by me and my Dad... She's all lovely now, just thought I'd share some pics from the years, couldn't have done it without you guys (and gals)…

What does it do and how can you test them,the rod on mine is really stiff ,is that good? just wounded what they do?

can anyone tell me what year the air con pod changed to allow for directional cooling control . and is the pod and ecu plug and play into a 1990 jap model or do any mods have to be done . do the pods look any different

Just a quick question about KOYO rads This is a KOYO that I bought a while back, is there some sort of extra engraved plate or something that I'm missing off the top of it? Every other KOYO rad that I've seen fitted on FD's/GTR's etc have been engraved with the KOYO brand logo as opposed to just sprayed in blue and red spray paint. Any ideas? It wasn't outrageously expensive but at the same time it wasn't exactly cheap at £260

Just got the conzult software and serial lead from ebay and its only the freeware!, looks like a good piece of software, where can i get the full version or lite version from? only need the software as have the lead cheers

As it was a (typically) STUNNINGLY beautiful day, we had to make a water feature to try and test it, see below... You might remember the post a couple of weeks back of a rusty arch that seemed to have had some sort of repair in the past with a skim of filler covering all of the rear O/S quarter as far as I dared to removed paint. Well I set to cleaning up the sills a few days ago as JeffTT pointed out a while ago at an initial assesment the rear sills need treating before they got any worse I discovered this on the rear N/S: Deep filler covering a severe dent in the sill next to which is a previous repair - with rust all around it as you can see and as I removed the filler enough water to make a puddle of water on the drive came out of the sill :sad:. What is the "normal" gap between the top of the 16" stock uk wheels and the rear wheel arch with standard springs? Need to know if I've put enough weight in the boot before I can do the final torquing of the rear axle bits. Cheers Dave

Had a look at the zed this morning and I dont rate it much for the price they are looking, sorry mate I start with the good points, Invoice for timing belt and service probably its first service in the UK as fog light was done. Long MOT and only done 200 miles from when MOT was done. Invoice for new alloys and tyres £900. Bad points A few dings on front near side wing. Rust (painted over) on NS cill Rust starting on RNS wheel arch 3 feet of a key score on NS rear panel Rear spoiler needs replaced No fan cover in engine bay NS engine bay painted black? But what worries me the most is on the test drive although the turbos were spooling up the zed …

as above chaps this car am possibly buying tomorrow has one of these fitted will i notice a difference from a normal clutch any extra noises anything like that ?

Was wondering if this was normal. My 300ZX twin turbo does around 22mpg on the mototway and around 13mpg in town doing short journey's. I have an air fuel ratio gauge installed and gives a reading just over the rich point when in town and not so rich on the motorway. The 02 sensors are OEM not wideband. Any suggestions.

Does anyone know where i can get some matching leather to a standard black zed leather to retrim the doorcards?. Thanks.

hey peeps as some of you know i arrive in belfast tomorrow at 9 to go see a z what things should i be looking out for things i have so far make sure i hear it start from cold check the ecu for fault codes check for smoke from turbos whines from diff or gearbox and crunching gear changes check rear diff for oil leak check engine for oil leaks check coolant and fan kicks in is there a diy on here that shows you how to check the ecu i know with my celica i bridged two connections with a paper clip and red the engine light flash on the dash body work wise check sills and rear arches front wings secure am sure i have missed …

Hi peeps was just thinking do I really need to change the water pump and crank and cam seals when I do the 60k belt change I know this is a high performance 300bhp monster but ave never had to do that on a timing belt change normally just tensioner and belt Don't get me wrong have never worked on a Nissan and as engines go you really don't be wanting to put a foot wrong on this one My gt4 was high performance a mere 220 bbl and that was just belt and tensioner

was about 5pm tonight i was heading home from work in the van and you passed me heading out of harthill never got a really good look but from what i saw looked really nice.

If i fitted a large fmic and a large air filter will i need to fit a larger fuel pump?
