I was close to buying the spl track rods ends ($220 excluding postage and customs) to compensate for lowering, which bring the track arms back to centre, correct funky steering arm angles and bump steer under suspension compression. Pretty simple really. Heres what i have done. Still going through a few tests, the tracking is way out now so a full alignment will be needed, still haveent had it tracked since i fitted the lower arms i just lined it up best i could by eye. Before spacing the rose joints: notice the angle of the steering arms. WOW seriously out. Heres what the setup looks like: check out the corrected angle, much better: …

Guys and girls. Ive had this rattle for some time now, and its really starting to piss me off. Basically its a top end whirring rattle, sounds like a blown bearing. Its completely intermittent make no odds whethers its hot or cold. it can be provoked by holding the revs at around 2.5k rpm - 3k rpm. I can tell you its not: Cambelt tensioner - new Tensioner pulley - new Idler pulleys - new Water pump - new A/C pump - Disconnected and rattle still present Alternator - Disconnected and rattle still present Power steering pump - Disconnected and rattle still present Lifters - not a lifer noise, two oil changes havent improved/worsened it …

A recent "what's wrong with your Z" thread got me thinking.... .....as the only thing that doesn't work on mine is the headlamp wash system. There's no noise from the motor at all when pressing the button (yes; before you ask, I did try with the lights on.......). So I was thinking fuse or/and relay; any thoughts/ideas please? And where would I find the fuse/relay for it as I don't think it's in the main fuse box under the bonnet? Thanks, Richard:thumbup1:

ive just spent the last 2 hours reading past posts about this and im needing some confirmation before i spend days fault finding. 90% of the time after a good blast the Ecu returns all clear, but on occasion while driving along i get the heavy fueling smell and before ive gone to check Ecu codes i know its registered a 33 and evry time im right. So i reset Ecu and for a few days its fine until it registers another 33. If i where to check the sensor is switching with a multimeter or Ecu light it will be doing as its only happening on occasion? My only option is to change it out for a known working one or new? What actually brings up the code 33? is the Ecu …

As the title says. My car's spewing out coolant and need to fix it but don't know how to go about this. I would take it to Jeff's, but the logistics of me getting it there under it's own steam, (see what I did there?), are complicated at best. OR if someone knows of someone in the Dorking area that could do it, that'd be an option!! Can someone please help? Thanks.

I wrote off my range rover yesterday which leaves me a car short. So im thinking off putting the Z back on the road. I have to put the plenum back and I wanted to put in the 550 injectors I bought. What would happen with just the injectors in and no other supporting mods ie chip or EBC. Would the car run ok?

I,ve took this week off with the intention of getting all the welding done on the zed , two days in and one sides done Cut the sill section off to reveal Then cut the inner panel back to reveal So i made a repair section and a new drain tube Then sectioned the inner panel Then the outer sill section and cut down the repair arch to as little as i could use as the arch only had one section of rot on it but i thought it best to fit it all anyway for peace of mind Just the other side to do now !!!

Hi All Sorry to interupt your evenings posting but i was wondering if anyone could help. Oh ,hi by the way - its anthony's wife email as he s stuck with the car waiting for the RAC to rescue him, looking very dispondant and upset - hence this is from me. Basically, his car failed the 1st mot and one of the things was the lower wishbone which he worked hs behind off to sort. Took it back for testing today and earlier this afternoon they passed the car and then a few hours later (not telling him ) failed it! i had to deilver the news as i was en-route to collect. It turns out that the detail the put on the MONT cert was wrong and it was in fact the upper arm with the…

I'm close to giving up on the blue b***ard parked on the driveway :( boost pipe came loose from offside turbo 2 or 3 weeks ago - no space to work underneath so I thought I'll get either Jeff or the local mechanics to fix it when I have my sexy new exhaust installed... ...then I only order 1 gasket instead of 2 (no big deal) so the exhaust can't go on yet... ...then yesterday the battery starts playing up (as per my other thread) and sounds like there's either an extra load somewhere or the alternator's not doing a proper job... ...then on the way home today the Antilock Brake light comes on for the first time ever (other than startup, and the fluid lev…

I plan on using my zed all year round and I know it needs protecting. I've searched other threads and decided Dinitrol cavity wax looks a good option for inside the cills etc. I was after some advice on actually doing the job, such as the best place to drill the holes etc.

I know this has been done to death but my one is a little different. My zed is a UK spec but I'm ditching the rear bumper (with fogs) for a JDM smoothed one, am I right in thinking that I already have the wiring I need in place (including relays)? There is a plug hanging out of the back of the car that the old fogs connected to, so can I just connect this wire to the inner brake lights and use those as the fogs? Any advice would be great as I'm not that good with lighting  Cheers dave
