To run alongside the Z I have picked up a S14 auto which will be my 2nd project. I had been planning to build the Z with big power and for track action but decided against extreme tack action as I don't think it's right to strip it and ruin a good cruiser. So the S14 will get the full stripping and extreme track prep. Starting removing the T28 turbo, loom an ECU which is sold and has covered 2/3 of the cost of the car  Next to go will be the ABS and the engine which is knocking alot along with the auto slush box, then the front and rear subframes for some rust treatment and car undersealing. As I can't do much to the Z until it comes off the road after Trax the…

well the new zed was up to get it's first mot last week and got a phone call at 4 today saying it failed the mot only on the horn and rear brake pads no big deal easy enough to put right have a new set of pads sitting here anyway. So I carry on with my work and my mechanic phones me back half an hour later bad news he says all I thought was what else has it failed on now, however no the police were round while the car was at the mot centre on Sunday morning the place got broke into as did my car and 4 others, things I know that's gone are my touchscreen tv and DVD player going up tomorrow to find out what else only other thing I know I had in the car was the polished slam…

Hi, Just got my clutch sorted and to be honest most of been splipping from the day I got it because for a a big motor it bloody quick lol, quicker then I thought it would be for a standard zed, so really happy now just need to get the body work sorted. Mark:-)

Hi guys, Looking at options to replace my smokey tubs and am after some advice. I've looked at the Z1 products but not too sure which would be best. Will be for road use with the odd trip to the nurburgring or track day, I'm not looking at upgrading the engine internals so massive tubs are not an option. I've looked at the option of using a pair of T28's, these are labelled as replacements for the 200SX, would these fit a 300? I also don't want to spend a fortune on them either, the wife is already spending my Afghanistan bonus and turbos ain't on her list LOL. Cheers, Rob

As you all aware Nissan keep on implimenting bizare prize increases for zed spares, we tend to buy in bulk due to this to protect us and customers, however even we cannot avoid the increases eventually, today we received our normal stock order to find water temp senors have just had an increase from £23.42 to £49.07 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! each.....flipping ridiculous after the Vat is added thats £58.88, what the hell are Nissan thinking?? 7. Hey All, Just trying to get my zed up together and I just wanted to ask the following: 1. My gear lever doesn't return back to the central position - if i wiggle it in neutral it either stays left or right, almost like there is no spring or anything. 2. My ABS light is permanently on - any ideas? 3. Wheres the best place to get roof seals? Ta

I have a greddy system in my TT, it was there when I brought the car some 4 years ago and I have never understood it, however having had a health check done on the turbos and the car, the performance is being governed by this system. I am running standard turbos (I think) on 555 injectors because apparently the engine was re-built to a higher spec. (Please dont ask me to what as I have no paperwork on it at all)...long story. Can anyone help me with what I can start with on the settings, like a base setting I suppose please? Thanks everyone.

Does anyone have a spare coil pack for a 1992 UK spec manual tt. I have had my mechanic round and we have located the issue of the missfiring, It is the coil pack on the rear right of the engine as you look at it from the front. It is nearly 20 years old now and if they are original they have done very well...lol Thank you

I know a few on the forum have these, is anyone running 10" rims on the back, if so any issues running them? Ive just picked up a set, 18X8 front and 18X10 rears ET35 all round. Trial fitted them today and it looks like once I get tyres on its going to be really tight at the back. Probably have to reshape the exhaust slightly, for starters, anything else to watch out for? Stainless trims are missing, but I can live with that at the moment

i bought the series 2 air con pod and ecu off of jeff a couple of weeks ago, well i managed to fit it today, took me all of 45 minutes from opening the garage door to testing it! i even swapped over the housing as it was a little worn on the series 2 one. its a recommended mod imo as you have much more control of the aircon but you do loose the ambiant temp info on the new pod. another mod done to the lady complete :)

Hi guys, Just spotted a small pool of oil under the car - probably collected over a week or so - but being a bit dopey when it comes to cars I was wondering what it might be from. On closer inspection it looks like its coming from the oil cooler at the front of the engine: a lot of the bottom of the cooler and all along the horizontal piece at the bottom (there are two bolts on this piece, one at each end) are wet with oil, and I can see its spread all across the front engine cover piece and from there down on to the floor. It quite black oil; blacker than the engine oil, I thought, and sure enough the dipstick level is normal. Any thoughts on what else it cou…

  24. Bit of an odd one bare with me and I'll try and explain it. Bit of background first; Car is at stage 1 (decats, apexi filter, Blitz SBC, i'll get to ecu in a mo). I ran the car with the original stock ECU and was getting code 34 and NO reading from the left hand o2 sensor. I put the det down to upgrades and standard ECU. But I was a bit confused about the dead o2 sensor. Anyway, today I changed the ECU to a JWT chipped one and set the TPS to 0.46v. Ran Conzult again and was getting code 55, which was a relief. The timing also settled at 15 from 23 once the engine had got up to temp. Now the odd bit; The lefthand o2 had come to life but the voltage read…
