  2. Finally got the thing finished! Took the water temp gauge out and replaced with new 60mm unit - plenty of room behind the facia. A dab or two of tiger seal and it's not going anywhere used the redundant bulb holder hole for cable access - I even adapted the old holder to support the wire (not shown in this picture). Had to cut the wire and put a plug in line which I took from my breakers engine bay. Thanks to Groover for helping me with the wiring in at the ECU and also for supplying some nice 5 way led's. Top bloke! Engine bay all tidied up. New adapted de-annodised and welded in place of old sender, then rounded of and re-polished, cables…

Looks like my central locking has decided to stop working ! When you lock the drivers side door the passenger side doesn't lock. I've just completed a loom switch for the full front end of inside when i done my aircon conversion but i've match up what i think are the cables and both the old and new loom look identical. Is there any relays anywhere that control the doors?

Im sure most are aware of TwinZ rear bumper with built in diffuser, available through Z1. They have recently announced the launch of a bolt-on diffuser for the stock rear bumper !! Their complete bumper with diffuser design is nicer, as it sits lower than the stock design...but this would be cheaper option (inc lower shipping presumably) No prices or release date yet, and unfortunatly its currently SWB only but there is bound to be enough demand for a LWB version.

Why do they do it :pinch: I dont mind some mods but this is not right.when are they going to stop doing this to our zeds? The only thing I can say about the stickers is it made me miss the rear spoiler till I checked it all out again:no: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Classic-Nissan-300ZX-Z32-targa-roof-custom-sports-car-/280707661098?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item415b7afd2a

Never been a fan of the 89-98 Z spoiler, I believe its a dated design. However TwinZ have come out with their own interpretation of the spoiler, and I would probably consider it as an option for my slicktop. Take a look. As per their rear diffuser bumper, It will be available through Z1 Motorsports. I admit the changes are subtle, but I believe they have done a good job of modernising the overall design. Saturday morning and after 6 new NGK Iridium IX Spark plugs (old ones were definitely up for renewal) and the tired old oil replaced by some Castrol 10/40 Magnatech, she's feelin' a whole lot fresher! Plus fiited the sandwich plate so now have Plasma Oil Temp and Oil Pressure gauges up and running whoop whoop!

My mate has got the clutch out today, and said the clutch plate is worn but not too bad that it should slip, will be putting a new one in anyway but any other suggestions why its slipping, he did say the fly wheel needs skiming but clutch was fine when i drove in back from scotland. just started slipping after getting stuck in reverse one day. cheers mark

  18. Now ive posted this in zed related as its related to my zed lol Only thing stopping me drilling out the last bolt now, is my god damn drill battery. But if you have a stuck bolt, i cant recommend these things enough. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290575268983&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Now i know dewalt do some of the best power tools on the market, as i used to have a crap load when doing sparky work, but considering the price i got these for off of ebay, and considering sometimes people like to sell counterfeit stuff on there, i was a bit optimistic, but having just drilled out a bolt with a snapped off el-cheap-O easy o…

well found out where the smoke was coming from, id wired up the wingmirrors last week after someone who owned it before me had basically just cut the wire. only to find today once id taken the center console apart again that the cables had fused together. now not sure whats going on here, but it definitely wasn't my wiring, as the wires for the cables were exactly the same when wired together. so it was like for like colour. Obviously it shorted out somewhere along the lines as the two of the wires were melted to each other all the way down, I used these type of connector to connect the wires together. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&i…

Been toying with the idea of putting the twin turbo engine in my long suffering gt40 replica??? It should be fitted with a ford 5.8l v8 (sat in shed). The car would weigh 1050kg with the v8 but i`m expecting it could weigh 1000kg with v6, with a good strong build i would be hoping for 500hp/tonne?? Would you give the thumbs up or down for this install???

  21. Started by vodkashots,

Was wondering if it was a good idea to install a second battery into my Zed due to running 2 amps, and a carputer, plus all the other parts that are on zeds. id imagine its not doing my alternator any good trying to recharge the battery when everything is being ran. Was thinking of taking the live feed for the amps and pluming the second battery into the AMP fuse box in the boot, and then earthing the battery on the same point as my AMPs do, using 12gauge copper wire. only thing is, the ideal place to put a battery is taken up by a 10" subwoofer. Anyone know if id run into issues doing this? Or any good 12v small batterys? i have a spare battery for a ze…
