Hi Guys, Going to sort out my scuttles this weekend. I don't want to be spending hours sanding them down. Anyone recommend agood sanding tool to fit in my drill that won't eat the panels?. Cheers.

hi folks, not sure if this has been covered, i know there is an equalizing thing to measure the boost from, my question is, if both turbos are putting out say 7psi, what does this show up on a boost gauge?? does it just show 7psi?? and also, would it not be better to have 2 seperate gauges to monitor both turbos?? is this possible?? another quick one(sorry)... i hear of people upping the boost and stuff like that, so if somebody wanted to raise the boost to 14psi, does that mean both turbos are pushing out 14psi each???(basically 2 bar over 6 cylinders) i've been thinking about it, and the more i've thought about it, the more confused i've become :) please help, haha…

i have a feeling that my front number plate is too small, and would like to get a sticker instead of the normal plastic job, are these illegal as well? or can they be used on the front? also where do people get their jap spec sized rear number plate as mine also seems a bit small?

  5. Hi peeeps! I have bought these for my Z for when the engine rebuild is finished: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230506632347 Is this all I need to decat my TT Fairlady?? Or is the wrong thing I've bought? Do I need anything else? I have a 2.5" twin exhaust system for the backs though. :online2long:

Anyone know how likely the timing is to be out on a Z? I've had mine since September last year, Cam Belt was changed a month or so ago and we didn't have a timing gun, so we just put the CAS back as close to where the factory faded bits appeared to be, as we could. I've just checked the timing on it today, and it's perfect! 15deg exactly! Then Roses car, not had a cam belt in over 6 years, admittedly wasn't driven that much by SandyZ, he used it for shows and Sunday drives etc. But still, for the timing to be exactly dead on again? Especially since it was converted from auto to manual last month and nothing done with the timing, isn't there supposed to be a differenc…

quick question what are the 2 sensors that come out of the downpipes? (not the 02 sensors on the elbows) just noticed them in the current decats? but the new set will have no holes? are they important? what do they do? my last powerflow had them as well really confused me?

Strange thing I have noticed on the car since I purchased it. When I change up at above 4.5k rpm I can feel like a sort of vibration through the clutch pedal, only happens when you depress clutch and engine braking starts, once you engage another gear it instantly goes away. Also if you don't press the clutch and select another gear then the vibration can still be felt until it drops below 4.5k rpm. I've probably not described it very well, but it is a kind of strange issue, I'm wondering if it has something to do with the auto to manual conversion, as my previous manual TT Zed did not do this. Under normal driving and below 4.5k rpm there is nothing a…

As my old wheels really need a refurb, I was looking on Ebay the other day and found a set of shiney new Cruise 190s for £400. Not the best wheel out there but for that money they'll do the job......!! I've also decided to upgrade my head unit to a DAB one; as I have got used to having DAB in the Merc. So I snapped up the latest Kenwood offering, with the additional Bluetooth interface...... .....so 3 guesses what I'll be doing at the weekend....! Richard:thumbup:

Right oh! A couple of us are meeting up at the Dukes Head pub on Saturday the 6th August for a natter and a beer or two. They do food I believe as well. It would be great to see any Sussex zeds there, and anyone else is of course welcome too. Totally off the cuff, no real reason just to meet up. looking for a bit of advice here...... My engine build is nearing completion. A month or so and I think we will be dropping it in. All is good to go, other than clutch and fly. I reckon the engine should achieve 500bhp. This is by no means a drag car. I basically want it to remain the grand tourer that Nissan intended it to be.......just feckin fast! I want the car to remain comfortable to drive and the clutch to feel as stock as possible, but of course capable of handling the power. No quadruple super carbon carbon double delux carbon jobs. :) So, any suggestions which set up I should be looking at? Thanks

By now I was hoping to have had the full interior back in the Z but as always I have again had to change my plans due to unforseen circumstances! The stereo installer was called this week for jury duty and apart from some soundproofing being fitted it hasn't been progressed. So I took the Z away this evening and gave it to a detailing company to give it a good going over! He has said he will be working on it until Friday evening and shall be doing a complete write up on it for a detailing forum. He will be taking about 300 photos as he goes comparing before and after. He is really enthusiastic and loves working on older cars and really likes the Z. I will post up so…

as title really, since my decats are not here yet i got bored and attacked my '89 spec spoiler, well it came off, took alot of paint with it lol, glad the cars getting painted/ wrapped soon, i need to get a perspex strip, do they cover the brake light hole? got a few ideas with what to replace it with, as i personally don't like it smooth. got a mid level spoiler in my garage for a zed but dont know how i would attach it? any ideas their is no way to bolt it on as couldn't get to the other side anyway. its either this or a huge carbon drift spoiler, so trying this first lol.
