Hi all, Just got my ZX a couple of days ago and my new headunit arrived today

Some of you mentioned about using a spray gun instead of spray cans. Im tempted to go down this path, but having never used a spray gun before I have a few questions: - Will I realistically be able to do a decent job first time? - Can you give me advice on how to mix the paints? - Where can i purchase all of the things i will need? - How much are we talking for all of the items?

for anyone who`s cam sprockets are leaking and are thinking of getting the bde rebuilt ones, heres some close ups. You can see the allen bolts on the rear eliminating any future movement from the plates, so no more oil leaks!

Here's an interesting one... ever since owning my Z (over 8 years), the brake warning light (the "Lights" one, not the handbrake one) came ON when I pressed the brake pedal. Because my brake lights have always worked, I assumed that it was there to tell you that the lights were working! After doing a bit of searching on this good forum, it turns out that not only should it warn you that the brake light(s) are NOT working, but also that a rear fog light conversion (which I have had done) will cause the light to come on when braking even though the brake lights are fine. saw a black n/a this morning parked in Pattenden lane. Reg K515 R**. Looked like an original car apart from the mid level spoiler.

My ZED was registered on the 30th April 1993. (UK spec TT manual) It has cats fitted, and I have read a lot about de catting. What are the benifits of doing this, and can I get away without them? Cheers all......

I understand they are not available any more, but could use a left hooker loom is this correct? and has any body got an idea of cost [i do req 2] Dave

As I understand it my pearl paint has a solid yellow paint code underneath then the pearl code is sprayed over it but what is the solid yellow paint code anyone?

ok well after todays meet at strathy park its gave me some motivation to get some work done on the car or at least start making steps in the right direction. can anyone point me in the direction of good sites for bodykit parts looked a zcenter and like the ec1 front will prob get a set of car mads side skirts but looking for something for the rear any suggestions also welcome on all parts

Well today steams popped over to help tackle the engine an gearbox in job, but instead of doing that, we thought we would get the deletes done instead, tidy up the new engine, get the turbos off and actually just get the turbo housing re threaded. So while steams set to work on the carbon canister removal, i decided that considering the amount of oil i was showing in my intercooler pipes coming off the throttle bodies, id take the pipes off my Front mounted intercooler. well almost soaked steams with the first one, so i put the pipe back on, went and got a pot to collect the oil and this is what happened lol, click image to view video. passenger side of the…

Just starting a new thread in the hope that quite a few will look at it :biggrin: Ive got the plug out which was a ball ache to begin with as i managed to push myself along the tarmac drive without shifting the nut, but with a few tarmac burns on my arse its finally come loose and come out. Ive sqeezed about 2/3 of a litre into it and im just wondering how to get the other third in, i was thinking of cutting some hosepipe (sorry dad) putting that in the diff and pouring it in the other end and blow into it. Ive only just found out that with a modded engine you need to run colder spark plugs :confused1: Ive been running normal ones for years with no problems :wack: but soon i will be setting the boost higher and getting it mapped. so what shall i go for? Hello everyone, I was checking my car over with conzult and came across a fault I am not sure about so hoping someone here may be able to help. The TPS was showing 0.90 volts, spec should be around 0.42 so I tried to adjust but it wont go any lower, my first thought was a faulty TPS so I swapped it for another which was working fine when removed but this also only goes to 0.90 volts as well, have I been unlucky with 2 bad TPS sensors or is there another cause you may know about ? Also I am not sure if this is related but when using conzult with the engine running if I try to open the idle adjustment section it causes the engine to faulter and die, I am sure it d…

I still have so much to do before JAE, but then again, who hasnt :yes: I fitted new speakers in the front doors, 6x9's mounted to the door card behind the grill so it looks stock. Fitted the door feed for the led in the open door marker light, installed a couple of led strips in the footwells, still got the stainless indiglows to go in and rear strips. Spent a couple of days making a 2 din surround for my new stereo, will get some closer pics in daylight of that, but heres a few night time shots for now.

I recently ditched my high level spoiler for a fibreglass 89 spec, after preping and spraying it was ready. I had filled and sorted the boot. After searching on here for the best product to use, i managed to get some tiger seal from a local stockist. I use loads of silcones in my job, even though the tiger seal has been stored very cool, it works better when left in the sun for an hour, easier to use with the gun. I marked the edge area of where the spoiler would meet the boot, with masking tape, this is to prevent it going over new paint and having the agro of getting it off. Apply a bead of about 5mm wide along the flat side of the spoiler, about 5mm from edge. …

grey z32 coming out of bath around 2-3 this afternoon. and a red z31 parked up in bath near the pump house. both spotted today sadly i wasnt in my zed at the time.

Having my front bumper done, defo going all one colour and losing the grey strip. I'm still undecided about what to do with the jdm parking mast. I had made up my mind to smooth it but now thinking i should keep it due to its rareity/quirkyness. Wadda ya reckon? It functions perfectly btw.

Gents can anyone help with this problem? just got to work now, on the way in the engine ckeck light came on the last mile, also smoking and very rough idle and the cooling fan is on constantly?? i would hazzard a guess at the lambda sensor i changed the chip back to the origional nissan one last week and the boost back to standard not sure if this had any affect on it? any help greatly appreceated Dewi
