USA223X wide body lwb with a lot of snake skin interior !!!!!!! Ummm today

Today i thought i'd start stripping down the Zed. Ive sold the engine, and a few other bits that needed to be removed. Started at 10am this morning. I was meant to be at Gayden, the biggest BMW show of the year, but as i had to work yesterday, the jobs i needed to to, didn't get done, so i missed the show. Anyway, i spent a couple of hours sorting other parts, then started on the engine. Im no mechanic, but im getting better. When ive taken engines out before, ive had 1 of 2 mates round. 1 is a proper mechanic, the other is like me, but with a bit more experience. OK we have all seen some pretty horrible things done to the zed, so thought id start a thread to see what ones are the worst and also for a bit of fun, so lets begin Then theres this thing :blink:

hi lads a bit of advice needed love my z to bits but seat belt strangles me im a big lad with short legs just wondered if there is any way of extending the seat belts in any waytheres not much play left as it is now and cant put seat too far back as cant reach pedals

After 8 years of more or less care free motoring the car let me down today! Happily trundling along the A36 heading towards wilton classic and super car show when I noticed the temperature heading north,:ohmy: by the time I found a lay by about 50 yards up the road had stem pouring from under bonnet:no: Once the car cooled down I found that the plastic hose outlet or boss at the top of the rad has snapped off:mad2: so i had to use the RAC that's the first time in 9 years as well. i took the power steering pump off the car and left it connected in the engine bay like i did when i did my N/A engine change. well trying to get this damn bolt lined up so i can bolt it back up is proving to be a pain in the ass, any one got any tips or is it just a case of keep going until it eventually finds its seat? The N/A didn't give me this much trouble, I've been at this now for over an hour trying to get the rear lined up to get the bolt in place.

Spotted a red LWB H reg at the Great Glen A6 roundabout today at about 13:10hrs. My partner also said she saw a blue ZX in Wigston a few days ago near to the Police station.

Hi there all, As some of you know I've had turbo problems. After some serious thinking I'm going down the route of T28's from 2 200SX. They will OEM Garrett parts and will be fully reconditioned, by who I don't know yet but not a pikey back street garage. I'm led to believe that 1 will need to be 'clocked' to give me handed turbos. What else will I need to consider and buy to make the conversion as good as I can? I will be putting the cats back on the car but would rather use high flow cats with divorced downpipes, is this possible or am I dreaming LOL. Cheerz guys, Rob

Hi ive done a manual conversion cleaned all the connectors maff etc she wants to go but wont!! Do i need to change the ECU as well?

would a vg30de fit in an opel manta? I've been thinking about what to do with my NA engine when I drop the new engine in. I had a manta coupe about 10 years ago and would love another. So, anybody any ideas if this is possible?

hi every1, Tried a wheel on my zed today, they are 18inch with et35 8.5j front and et35 9.5j rear, Problem is their sticking out a little on the rear, is their a positive and minus et35, Gonna try take a pic, and put it on here. thank you.

right first i know most people will say change to manual! but im a lazy F**K lol please correct me if i am wrong! the autobox must change gear using electronic signals? so could i get rid of my autochanger and put buttons like you get on a astonmartin onto my dash to change gear? or even buttons on the back of the steering wheel to change through P N D 1 2 etc? and could i somehow get a device to show me what gear i am selected in? just a mad idea! probable not doable but if it was i would want a go!

hi drivers electric window has just ceased to work you can hear the motor working in the up position but nothing in the down is it more likely to be the switch or the window motor anyone any ideas please

afternoon all! I had a little play last weekend with various bits and bats and really decided that I wanted to give me front as as little grooves and lines as possible. im the kinf of guy who lies to flow with a cars original lines and make things just a lot less messy, anyway, I decided I wanted to go with a non TT bumper so thought I would pop on some pics of what I did and my new intercooler ducting and how i sealed off the old intercooler scoops. opinions welcome :)

Hi. Quite a strong smell of petrol from the engine bay when the engine is cold. Clears when engine warms up. Any ideas?

Found a Jap Z in a breakers getting the full details on Monday but so far it has a manuel box perfect for a conversion and HKS coil overs for £300. Anyone interested no good to me because I'm doing a standard restore? Daz.
