I have checked fluid levels, tyre pressure and for limp wrists! and all ok. When turning left the steering is heavier than when turning right. Not hugely different but definately heavier than the norm. Any ideas?

The right tool for the job So we had to deal with a non turbo with an ABS fault, the system is essentially the same as the one fitted to the twin turbo so any fault finding is the same which ever model you have. The ABS system fitted to the zed has a very easy to use built in diagnosis so there is often no need for any specialist equipment. The self diagnoses is built into the abs ecu module and the ecu has a small led that flashes a set number of times to correspond to a particular fault code that is stored within the unit. A small drive is all that is required until the ABS warring light comes on and stays on, by pulling over and leavi…

well i thought i would start taking my zed apart today! my origanal plan was to take the engine out as i thought i had a shagged tubo or 2! Anyway i thought i would take the plenum off as im doing a water bypass and i have fitted new injector plugs and coil plugs today and while i was there i thought i would take a look at the turbo pipes etc to look for oil and im pleased to say there is very little in my pipes so im guessing the turbos are in ok condition. However it does leave me a bit confused as i was getting blue smoke on idle depending on what way the wind was blowing! lol so im hopping its due to the crap connectors on both the coil packs and the injecto…

Hi All. I'm swapping some bits from my old engine to new. I've found a few posts about installing the dipstick tube but nothing about removal?? Is it just a push fit? Any tips for getting it out without damaging it? Tips on installation would also be appreciated. BTW the engine is out of the vehicle. Cheers H

After taking his engine out and putting the new one in, hes got a slight problem, his power steering isn't working, he removed the pump when changing the engine, but now is not getting any noise from the solenoid on the steering rack. And his pump is making the noise like its got an air lock. any ideas? it was working fine before the engine came out.

Now, ive always felt, that buying from a forum member, is like buying from a brother, or a close friend. I take every word they say, as gospel. Sometimes, i dont even ask what it is im buying, i just know, that if he/she is selling, i want to buy it... Imagine my horror, after buying from Ian (vodkashots for those who dont know Ian. Watch out for him!!) i decovered its not what i was expecting.. After taking the car out today, i noticed it was lacking in power. Ian told me is was running boost jets, a decat exhaust, and Geddy ECU. I expect it to be fast as f**k, and to be honest, on the 1/4 miles test drive i took in 12.4 seconds, it did feel fast. Well, af…

My zed has developed an idle problem when stationary. The vehicle always starts but sometimes idles ok and at others the idle dies away but rarely stalls. If the accelerator is depressed/feathered then it appears to bog down and tries to stall unless its then left to idle again. When idle dies it can restart immediately and continue driving. The car drives fine once going (under load). In the last 3mths its had a new knock sensor, new alternator, timing belt, cam belt, power steering belt, air con belt, new plenum gasket, all injector seals replaced, clutch pedal repair & improvement, new spark plugs, Thermostat, new IACV air regulator, heater matrix,…
