Hey, Has anyone bought one (or two I should say) of these on Ebay? If so, how loud are they? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-200SX-300ZX-UNIVERSAL-BACK-BOX-EXHAUST-27-/150657020960?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2313dbb420 I imagine they're probably the same Db as what I already have on. Thanks!!

right stripped the plenum off again, to sort a water pipe out that came off. coincidentally the std clamps don't work too well on silicon hoses lol. found a few t clamps so sorted that but their is another air leak i found just before i stripped it back, its down the rear of the engine where the egr is....? right i've replaced the hose on the egr, its not that, when i took it apart i check the plenum gasket( not that) i cant see any other air pipes down there what could it be its really confusing me, anyone know of anything else down their could cause a leak? can hear it when driving (especially as the turbos spoil up) did a boost test using the space save…

Hi, Anyone else using a central 20 ecu, I have one fitted and was playing about with car today, Took it up the road [private] and it revs to just under 9000rpm and was just under 90mph in second gear:shock: Wont be reving that high anymore sounds horrible, Take it they remove all rev limiters on this chip, Anyone else have any info on what else they do to them, The chip seems to make a lot of differance in performance, even without raising boost it seems to rev and respond a lot better to the standard one, When i Put the standard ecu back in it feels more sluggish and not as smooth, Anyone know what psi i could roughly run with this …

Hi all, I carried out a cold, dry compression test on my TT tonight, seeing as I was replacing the spark plugs anyway. The front two cylinders gave about 110 to 113 psi The middle two cylinders gave about 96 psi And the rearmost cylinders were better at about 120 psi Not great figures but the car runs well, boosts well and has only just started giving me a rough idle until it warms up. 94,000 on the clock and it appears to have been reasonably well looked after. Looking at previous forum posts on compression test results, I was expecting a better set of results than I attained....... Mind you, this is a borrowed compression gauge and I ca…

I know it's been discussed in loads of other threads but I'm struggling with mine. I've undone the lock nut on the pedal side of the clutch booster and I need to unwind the fork a bit to raise the pedal up a bit. Manual and searches say to adjust the rod lenght by turning it with a pair of pliers. How do you do this? I can get pliers on it but there's no room to move them when you do! at the rate I'm going it'll be about 10 years before I've moved it enough:blink:. Does anyone have any tips to make this easier? Clutch works fine but the biting point is about an inch off the floor. lol

Roses car has 2 different sets of spacers on the front, adding up to about 15mm, but with standard studs. The threads on the nuts and studs are fubarred, so Roses car is once again off the road until we source new studs and nuts :( This is TOO close to JAE and we really need to sort it.

I reckon give it another few years and there will be just a few hundred left on the road. At that point I think the prices should start to go up  http://howmanyleft.co.uk/combined/nissan_300zx virtually none being imported now as well.

Does anybody know where i can get a full set of fancy engine bolts? I know Z1 do a set but its far from a complete set. There is a company in the states called dress up bolts but their service is crap. I dont think he wants to sell anything. Specifically, i'm after bolts for: CAS Balance tube Throttle body Throttle linkage PAS pot Radiator mount Nose panel mount Battery tie down Intercooler pipe mounts Fuel regulator and dampner Brackets on side of plenum

JAE is not far of now and its a first time for me:biggrin: been to a few shows this side of the Irish Sea and at the most I have seen one other 300zx so I am looking forward to see a large number of zed's and there owners at this show. Most of my traveling will be on the Liverpool ferry (8 hours) I could of gone the Stranraer route or Hollyhead but Liverpool cuts out a lot of driving miles. Have you seen the latest JAE video there is a well known zed at 2.23:thumbup: http://www.japcarclub.com/

Driving to work this morning and the car was fine till the carriageway where it accellerated fine through to third popped in to fourth and not much power. Managed to limp to work with a rough and louder car the idling was irregular, initially she'd rev with the clutch in but that worsened. After about 10 mins some but not loads of black smoke from the exhaust. By the time i got to work it was hardly revving or accelerating. Any idea's guy?

Well did a 400 mile round trip today and the car performed really well for its first major outing with the new engine and manual box, what a difference in performance overall compared to my old engine and slush box:w00t: I have a couple of niggles to iron out, but nothing major, so in all very happy. The biggest niggle is the steering rod scoring slightly from the manifolds O2 blank, so need to address that one, probably with a hammer  My rear tyres are unevenly worn, ie the pass rear tread is lower than the drivers side so getting little road/bearing type noise at around 80mph and my exhaust is still touching the rear valance and under body. Im goin…

The first time i took a few hoses off and realised there was so much more to disconnect. Today i tried again and got everything i thought off, then realised theres stuff bolted underneath  How am i supposed to get all the underside back on (if i manage to get it off) on the refit. Ive put it all back together again now, but damn. It looks so easy on all the pics with the engine out.

which wheel spacers are best? Hubcentric maybe?? I need some 20 or 25mm but not sure which. I have 18" antera 309's. The front are only 8" wide though. I believe these are ET35. The tyre size is 235/40/18. Link are always brilliant ;)
