I'm just back from JAE, great weekend! I know I set of at 2:30 but having driven to my mothers and sat there for a 2 and a half hours, then driven to my dads dropped the zed of and collected the van and driven to my house, I finally made it home around 9:30. I Filled up before leaving home on the Friday night, down to Kettering 200 miles or so, to northampton and back and then back to uttoxeter for my intended fuel stop (although I wasnt sure it was going to make it after some "fun" coming back from northampton to kettering this morning). Filled the old girl up and having done 316 miles on just over 51 litres... thats 28mpg!!! In a zed, blimey almost a diesel at that…

Anyone know how to a) Separate the master from the reservoir? b) Source the seals between the two? The workshop manual suggests the seals should be replaced every time the two are split. Doesn't tell you how though :( Hopefully the MOT man tomorrow won't notice the slight weep ;) Busy trying to make my Z the daily driver after its been in storage for 2 years. So hopefully lots going on over the next 6 months or so. Cheers

i do have a fuel leak from one of the injector`s o ring and luckily it`s one of them that u can remove without removing the plenum ... the question is should i change just one or do all of them ? ... knowing me if i`ll remove the plenum i`ll have to polish it or powder coat and then i`ll end up doing the whole engine :)

After a couple of rad flushes, decided to attempt to flush the engine block via the top hose. Once the hose was off I noticed that the top part of the plastic connection to the radiator had broken off. Is there a quick fix or will I need a new rad?:sweatdrop:

hi new to the zeds and mine has alot of play in the steering wheel. when you pull it it has some forward travel and some play pulling it left and right. I have checked where it bolts on and all i can see is the two triangle blocks that attach the steering wheel to the console. is it spose to be like this? cant find a good picture or diagram of how its ment to be (even on the online manual)

ive had a oily grease on my wheels that I was unable to get off, tried wonder wheels, turtle wax, etc and nothing worked. Was about to ask you show cars how to clean them properly when I saw a bottle of Mr Muscle on the kitchen worktop.. Wheels are sparkling, the kitchens a f**@ing mess, but worth it..lol

Put so much time effort and money (like pretty much all of us) into my Zed and got it looking/driving sweet. Really wanted to show it off at JAE this year, otherwise what's the point?? Only us loonies 'get' why we do it after all!! Life has got in the way this year sadly so i'll just have to look forward to the pics and banter threads. To all of you that are there or will be heading there I hope you have a fantastic time and revel in meeting new and old friends alike. Talk zeds and mankinis 'til the sun comes up :rockon: Take as many pics as you like, us non attendees are counting on you :thumbup1: Daffy.

Hi all, Can anyone give me an idea in how hard it is to fit the clutch and gearbox with the engine already in place? I dont want to be removing the engine again as i heard this is the better way. Is it possible if i get the car high enough in the air? Thanks Dan
