I bought some mesh to cover the bottom section of my 89 front bumper. Want to stop all the leaves and crap getting sucked into the rads. Anyway the stuff I got is a 15mm x 8 mm diamond pattern, now that it's arrived I'm worried that it might be a little small and end up causing a problem at speed. Is the mesh to small or am I worring about nothing?

Right having spoken to a lot of you at JAE and heard the obvious concerns in relation to what other clubs had to offer, plus going around and seeing other club stands. I think for next year ill be concentrating on getting a bit of entertainment going on. I have a projector so thats not a problem, and also we have sound. but what i was thinking along the lines off was something a bit special. My friend who i DJ with runs his own DJing business and gets hired out for all sorts of events. and if we can get the correct generator that doesnt induce spikes into the system id like to see about hiring him out on the saturday night. (though if i paid for his ticket…

Thought it might be interesting to collate some of the information from the ConZults we done at JAE it shows some particular similar issues and an increase over last year with thermostats failing in the open position, some of the missing info was due in part to not having pens and paper that work well in the rain! Jeff TT Nick d 300z Mileage 104, 829 J reg. Faults found 1 ) Det sensor circuit failed 2 ) Loose connection to idle solenoid 3) Timing 1 deg retarded 4) Throttle balance adjustment required ........................... Wide arch Mileage 122,…

Well peeps for those who are interested here is the full nine yards!! This has always been one of my favourite Z photos- I think Nissan got the front end almost right from day one apart from 4 small things. 1. The tram lines that run along the top edge of the bumper (I don't know what it is with nissan and two lines!! - don't get me started on 99 spec rear lights!!) 2. The bars in the intercooler ducts were too fussy. 3. The side profile had a bit of an overbite. 4. That bloody stone guard! So I decided to look around at 99 spec, Greddy Gracer, Twinz, Abflug etc but found myself wanting to keep things faithfull to the old design. …

Check the fuse box first, even if you think there shouldn't be a fuse for it, check anyway. A Gas BBQ can be self cleaning if groover is cooking That having a 2+2 with targas off, is excellent for looking at stars and watching fire works That pablito has a strange habit of getting people who haven't drank in ages, drunk! Mr Isherwood loves his stillen lip a bit too much  200 burgers is not enough 200 sausages is too much That 30 other people who didn't turn up on the Thursday when me and groover were discussing having the cars arranged in a horse shoe shape, really can read minds  (we didnt say how to park they just did what …

Well I had a brainwave whilst snoozing last night and I have all the bits to complete my project perfectly and I know you will all love it and want to copy. Just at the trial stage at the minute but whatever 'it' is, it looks very very nice - here is a sneaky peek of just a fraction of it, sure it will give it away to some who know me too well

No matter if I put the temp at the lowest, there's still heat from the vents, I'm guessing the valve is operated by a motor, any ideas on what to try/where to look? Cheers

Hi guys, stupidly forgot to check which line went to which metal pipe for the oil cooler when I took the engine out. Can someone confirm that the drain line to the sump is connected to the lower of the two pipes please? i.e. drivers side of the cooler. Also would it really matter which way round they went?? Any check valves etc?? I can't find a reference in the online manual :( Cheers H

i took me zed upto zedworld a few weeks ago for a conzultz test due to the boost not giving me the kick it used to be. jeff diagnosed the problem as retarded timing and put it right, all was good for a few hundred miles, but now its gone back to lacking power. is it possible for the the timing to go out in that short a time? i know the engine was rebuilt about 7000 miles ago so can only ssuming the timing belt was replaced then. also it has new hybrid turbos fitted any ideas please

I'm just back from JAE, great weekend! I know I set of at 2:30 but having driven to my mothers and sat there for a 2 and a half hours, then driven to my dads dropped the zed of and collected the van and driven to my house, I finally made it home around 9:30. I Filled up before leaving home on the Friday night, down to Kettering 200 miles or so, to northampton and back and then back to uttoxeter for my intended fuel stop (although I wasnt sure it was going to make it after some "fun" coming back from northampton to kettering this morning). Filled the old girl up and having done 316 miles on just over 51 litres... thats 28mpg!!! In a zed, blimey almost a diesel at that…

Anyone know how to a) Separate the master from the reservoir? b) Source the seals between the two? The workshop manual suggests the seals should be replaced every time the two are split. Doesn't tell you how though :( Hopefully the MOT man tomorrow won't notice the slight weep ;) Busy trying to make my Z the daily driver after its been in storage for 2 years. So hopefully lots going on over the next 6 months or so. Cheers

i do have a fuel leak from one of the injector`s o ring and luckily it`s one of them that u can remove without removing the plenum ... the question is should i change just one or do all of them ? ... knowing me if i`ll remove the plenum i`ll have to polish it or powder coat and then i`ll end up doing the whole engine :)
