As above i have recently fitted Japspeed stainless manifolds and i have the common issue of the O2 sensor blank in the wrong place, ie> its designed for the left hand drive car and so i now have some slight scoring on the steering shaft. There have been a few members, Slick pete and Hellraiser to name a couple that have fitted these and i wanted to know how you got over the problem. If im going to take a hammer to something, will the manifold crack? bend the steering rod? Before i start searching, would be good to have a definitive answer. Many thanks Graham

It would appear that I've started to buy everything that I sold last year all over again!!! Anyway my question is: What are the pros and cons of using a set of quality sillicon pipes (eg. SAMCO intake pipes) over equivelent hard pipes (eg. injen) and vice versa same question for radiator pipes and upgraded smic pipes cheers fellas

Weird problem on the way home from work tonight. I set the temp to 40 on the aircon pod and normally i would start to feel some heat after 5 mins of driving. It was only blowing c.old air. equally to that my internal temp guage was sat on the C and didnt even budge!! Gave the car a good rag and still nothing. when i got home i lifted the bonnet and felt the rad and it felt only luke warm... any ideas?? Thermostat possibly?? Car running fine apart from that!

if you are running with hubcentric spacers the spacesaver will not fit . i learnt this today while refurbing my wheels . done the rears fine but when i tried to swap the fronts over i found out they wouldnt sit on the hubs due to the spacer bolts . ive never gave it a thought before but tomorrow im out for a can of emergency tyre repair to carry in case of front puncture until i can get some shims made up that fit over the spacer bolts .

I've heard a few people talking about these recently and I'm a bit confused. How does a full throttle upshift in a 3 pedal manual work? Do you keep the throttle pinned (I'm assuming so) push the clutch and slip the next gear home and then...? What happens next? Its not possible to engage the next gear without the engine speed dropping (unless the car has sufficient power to instantly spin the wheels to match the engine speed)? It all sounds a bit harsh on the transmission to me? How do these fancy ECU's match the transmission and engine speeds without putting undue stress on the gearbox and shafts etc? Also how much of an performance advantage is gained from such a s…

My shortie' is currently still fitted with the original small Jap spec oil cooler. It appears to have worked fine this summer but with a few choice mods on the cards shortly I want to upsize the oil cooler as a precaution. At the moment I don't really want to be fitting sandwich plates, relocation plates etc and am looking at the simplest way to fit this cooler (below). The braided hoses fitted to it are huge, AN12 or AN14, and I want to plumb it straight into the stock oil lines/hoses. The braided lines are obviously screw type whilst the stock rubber hoses slide on and held in place with a jubilee clip type fastener. - Does anybody know of a connecto…

Hi guys ive been driving a GTO TT for the last 3 years and just fancied a change. so went for a 1991 300z TT auto. driving home which was a nice 160 miles i noticed a few issues with it. 1. auto box. with o/d off its absolutely fine cruises at about 3k revs at 60 switching O/d on does just the same so i dont think it can find 4th gear i believe? is this a tcu fault? or something more simple? also with o/d on it doesnt like to go through the gears very nicely unless you floor it or go 2nd then D. 2. give it abit off stick and when you pull over smoke appears to come from directly below the center off the car and at the back off the engine bay from bel…

Ok so last night Mikey and I fitted the new spacers and wheel studs, which thankfully turned up yesterday, instead of today as originally expected. I took the car out for a drive this morning, dropped my son off at his grandmas, my daughter off at school and went to Wickes to pick up a new toilet seat. The car now has a considerable amount of feedback in the steering at 30mph+ now, which was probably always there (The car always had a small vibration when driving, previously put down to the calliper problem and the wheel balancing etc. etc. all of which were sorted out, then we found the spacer/wheel stud/wheel nut problem), but just wasn't as obvious before. Essent…

Last time I raced at Brighton, I crossed the line at 107mph in 4th gear (1/4 mile 14.03 seconds). I remember changing up just before I crossed the finish line so I'm thinking, If I stay in 3rd, at what speed will I hit the rev limiter. I have a DTA chip and don't know what that lets you red line too. i think that i'll be quicker if I don't wast time changing up.... Any ideas?

How do you remove the window from the door? Also, on the new door that I have fitted, the door can open and lock using the handle inside, however when you put the key into the barrel of the door it is jammed and will not turn. Is this a broken barrel?
