Hi, so I finally got my Z on the road after far too long. I've never driven an automatic before so maybe it's just the way they are but it seems incredibly stupid to me. It seems intent on revving the engine up for no reason, it holds onto low gears for what seems like an eternity before shifting up, and it will downshift if you so much as breath on the accel pedal. Even if you just increase the throttle just enough to maintain speed up a hill it will drop down and rev pointlessly all the way until the top. Accelerating at a medium sort of pace seems a chore too, really slow or fast is fine but 'normal' speed seems to result in this no mans land of torque converter s…

Is it best to fit this as per the FAQ section on here? I've seen other more simple methods which say just tee into the boost gauge feed. Can anyone confirm its 6mm vacuum hose I need? and how much to order? Cheers:confused1:

May sound silly but would there be an issue do you think if instead of the lower drain plug on the rad I fitted the temp sensor for my after Market gauges??? It will fit in there perfectly. Any thoughts?? Cheers Craig

I have an import and its my first MOT with my Zed since I bought her almost a year ago. I don't have a flog light on the back and pretty sure there wasn't one at the last MOT, its just obvious there wasn't one. Do any other import owners here get away without having a rear fog light, do the garage ever just let it slide as they know imports don't usually have a rear fog, or will I have to fit one? Also, is there any legal requirement about the internal switch? I was thinking about using a switch on my pod (I have a Cruise Control pod, but no Cruise for example)? Cheers!

As most probably know, im zedless.. I dont miss the heart ache they give me, but i would love a 400+bhp car to abuse! Ive got an e36 M3 Evo, which i love, and have always loved. Ive had as many of them as i have had zeds, they dont cost as much to run, are really nice to drive, and dont break as much! However, i need a turbo! What to do?

Finished refilling the cooling system and left her running for a few minutes, Lowered the front end and when I put my hand down to remove the rear wheel chocks I felt a strong air flow from the bottom of the both rear sills, (the point where the targa drains protrude) Is this normal?:w00t: if so how come? I can not get my head around it. I just don't see the logic.

What should the oil pressure usually be? Mine keeps changing, i know the guages not very good but i dont have the money to buy a different one. Its usally between 0 and the first bar, then after a few miles it will go up and maybe later on it will drop down again. Im pretty sure i have no oil leaks in the engine anywhere. Probably just a faulty guage or sender??? Thanks

This time next week!!!! Will the rain have kept you awake all night or will it be a night under the stars followed by clear blue skies and the dawn chorus? What's for breakfast? Who's got the headache tablets? Why is your bum sore? :asshole::ninja:

Hi, I bought some pentproof manifold and The garage can't get them to fit. I have a greedy 16g setup. Has anyone had any problems with them??? I'm ready to throw in the towel on zedding with this like. It's doing my head in. Below is the images the garage have sent me of drivers side turbo outlet pipe from various angles. As you see the pipe cannot line up properly because the manifold sticks out. He wants me to advise how to proceed and I just don't know what to tell him to do at this point other than just get it done somehow.

Ok new owner, done around 2k miles in it, not happy with performance or mpg, wanted a cambelt anyway so got involved with the running issue. Full Nissan service history UK zed with 60k ish miles, nice condition, when I test drove it the idle was lumpy and erratic, the performance had massive holes in the delivery of power, the turbo gauge would swing up then off and even when on boost was rubbish with bucking and sudden power ups. As I said at idle it was very lumpy and when revving would not only dip but struggle to pick up, coaxing the revs up slowly it was ok (ish) the exhaut smell was evil. So whats wrong here then?? Ok three pics, whats wrong, …
