I'm not a mechanic and I'm obviously learning as I go along but is this normal? Turbo #1 looks pretty normal but Turbo #2 doesn't look quite right with this random bolt going through the housing 'but' from the inside! it's clearly a bolt from somewhere else (it's green for one). Surely this should be threaded from 'outside' the housing and not from inside? or am I way off??

This may be a simple job but I can not see how to remove the headlight unit. I am having trouble adjusting the low beam spots so would like to remove the whole unit so as to see what the problem might be. Can anyone help explain how this is done please?

Is it me or generally a guy thing that shiney car bits like this look so lush... such a shame they have to reside in the crap the roads chuck up, of course not from a zed, in fact they are S14, weirdly they even had a nice smell....oh did I say that out loud? Cannot knock the quality of some of the stuff coming out of China these days! quick couple of questions for you guys, im not too good with the ins and outs of auto's, but when its in park my idle is quite high about 1200, but when in drive but stationary its about 8-900ish. is that normal? and my other question is can the clutch go on an auto might be a stupid question but how would you tell? on a manual you'd feel it but my zeds been acting a bit strange recently so just wondering.

MAP sensor fitting I've done a quick search but can't find too much info on it I understand that you can do away with the MAF if you go down the MAP sensor route but what does fitting a MAP sensor actually entail?

after 2 years of ownership i finally got round to getting a Zedworld chip upgrade done today . Truly Awesome is the only way i can describe it . on start up she sounded smoother and a bit quieter . ran her around for a few minutes to get her warm and then gave her the beans on a straight bit of road . the difference was amazing . she absolutely flew , i nearly shit myself and the mrs squeeled like the time i came home from work early and caught her sitting on the washing machine . every zed owner should have one of these fitted . i thought she was quick before but i reckon she must be at least a second quicker to 60 now . go on boys treat yourselves . thanks j…

Boost and air leaks are a way of life for us in the workshop, but occasionally even we see odd ones that merit a photo or two. So to start with the leak was too large to build any pressure in the intake system and this makes it harder to locate as there is no sound, so we insert a smoke bomb into the afm intake and then when we pressurise again the general location of the leak can be seen as the smoke is forced out of the leak point. So having done the smoke test the general location was at the passenger side towards the back, so following a quick battery removal there now was more access to check it out. So with the extra access we again did a…

The old one is knackered and proper rusty underneath, quite amazingly the bootlid is almost completely rust free :sweatdrop: My mate started up his own bodyshop a few months back so did my spoiler for £30 as I wired up his booth for him, its gonna be the shiniest bit on the car, but I think it will prompt me to get my Z resprayed - he's already quoted me £500 for that. Anyway heres my new spoiler, its a D-Speed one, similar to the OEM one just a little longer :cool2: Off to get some tiger seal or equivalent tomorrow and get it fitted, more pics to follow.
