I just phoned up regarding an insurance quote on my '91 Fairlady ZX Twin Turbo Auto, and was staggered to hear the price. Sex: Female Age: 25 NCB: 2 Insurer: Footman James Price: £239.40 Of course this is classic insurance, but it's fully comprehensive SDP&C with 3000 miles a year. Anyone got some recommendations of other companies at all? Thanks

My turn to put a link up to an ebay Z, but only to highlight 2 points, I reckon its a very good price for the car and should sell pretty quick! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-FAIRLADY-Z-3-0-V6-REPAIR-/180734531476?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a149e1794 Point 1:- Well f**k me, I've had a very good low mileage NA engine on ebay now for a couple of months, a few watchers but no bidders, starting price of £250!! :cursing: How did they come to the price of £1300?! :sneaky2: Point 2:- Looks like they bought the wheels from this previous forum thread, I'm sure a few here will remember   http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/sho…

Went to use my rear fog lights last night and they didn't illuminate!! Mine is a UK Z which comes with them as standard... Always used to work and last night the fog light indicator on the dash lights up when pressing the switch but the rears arn't comming on! The bulbs are fine as I've checked them today and also the 20AMP fuse in the drivers footwell is ok as well... Anything else I could check that anyone knows of please that could be causing them not to come on!! Thanks very much!

I've fitted a used pair of discs from a breaker on the front. I thinly they're 310mm but at work so can't measure for sure. Ive attached standard calipers with the bracket and put new pads on. The discs and pads sound like they are rubbing badly and it hasn't gone away after a 30min drive. The calipers were working fine 5months ago before I took the zed off the road so a bit miffed why they are rubbing? Could it be the caliper pistons?

Got told a good tip today for removing the stone chipping on the sills and wings. Use a heat gun and a metal scraper. Just heat up the stone chipping then scrape away the stonechip with the scraper. When removed sand the little bits left over off with a DA sander. This will take the sills back to bare metal and is much quicker than sanding it off. This WONT work on the front or rear bumpers as they are molded stonechipping and you'll melt them. lol

I have a set of fairlady shagpile mats in my zed but i cant seem to get them clean! I've tried all sorts of interior cleaners and carpet foam cleaners with the old dyson, but nothing seems to get them clean again. I can get most of the dirt out but still have brown patches and what appears to be sand in them. Anybody have any tips on cleaning them? They really let the interior look dirty at the minute :(

Also made a rattling noise like a diesel at certai…

would UK rear lights fit an import ? What about an exhaust? Is it basically the same or not? Is there a list anywhere that says what fits and what does not? Cheers

Hi There, This is my first post and i have the following issue: I'm having a real problem getting hold of the light switch assembly for my 87 Z31 NA (for under £103.00!) but i found an identical unit from an '84 so got hold of it really cheap. As you probably know, the connector blocks are different. I was wondering, it must be a pretty straightforward job to remove the '84 plastic connectors and re-attach the wires into the '87 block. the stalks have exactly the same functionality right? (off, sides, headlights, flash and indicators) Just wondering if anyone knew why this wouldn't be possible? Cheers Mike

Typically after selling my 360+hp mint 300zx (short of respray needed on wing/bumper) manual with long MOT/TAX for 1k , I was informed I could work from home, meaning I could afford the rediculous petrol costs... I have a raw CRX mk2 vtec modded up but it needs a little bodywork before itd sell for good money, and as we all know that's not cheap! I really miss being able to turn the world with my rear wheels and hear 6 cylinders and 2 turbos ripping up the tarmac :( I've looked around but prices seem to have soared for 300's.. I cant find any twin turbo manuals for near 1k and those that are seem to be rusy or have problems. I've emailed the guy who boug…
