  1. had a close call today, took it really easy on a 10 mile drive back from cardiff earlier, but couldnt resist giving it a bit of welly on the final straight home. if only i had checked my mirror before i did! blue lights followed me up the road, and i was pulled. "wot the hell was that all about "he said, desperatly trying to hide the grin from my face from the rocket propulsion i had just had, i got out and appologised. a quick breath test later (all clear amazingly) and a *****cking and i was back on the road. got caught doing 73 in a 60 zone a few months ago and am waiting to go on a speed awareness course (to avoid the 3 points). so................…

Mikey and I (Mostly Mikey) fitted the Brembo grooved discs which were originally on my car and the steering rack we picked up this morning from Bazs today. Last night we cleaned up and tightened up her handbrake shoes too, so she now has a handbrake, no wobble in the steering (There was over an inch of play in the old rack) and no wobble or vibration on braking (Warped disc and originally a loose calliper):D  :thumbup1: :punk:  So now it's sounding right (Exhaust replaced), it's driving right (brakes and rack replaced, but still needs suspension replacing because the shocks are shot) and she's well and truly getting on with her boot install. Just need …

Ive dont the throttle cover Gloss black with the raised nissan in red and the balance bar in gloss black. The original plan was to have the cam covers and rocker covers gloss black aswell. Also would enamel paint be the best to use? Mark

As per title, I'm trying to get some real world info on Greddy smic's for the zed *I've got a Greddy 3 row fmic for the LWB but I'm going to continue running a smic setup on the shortie'* I've seen the thread where a few different manufacturers smic's specs are listed but can't recall ever seeing Greddy smic's on the list, though I know they are available from the States I'm looking to compile a spec list for future reference of the various smic options available today, to record real world performance gains, in addition to dimensions/quality etc: - Stock smic's - PACE smic's - HKS smic's - STILLEN smic's - Z1 smic's - ARC smic's -…

Alex & Mike came round to mine earlier to get some bits and I kind of roped them into swapping my engine :whistling: The car has sat untouched since mid september, I'd unbolted (almost) everything at the time and tried and tried to get the engine out but then gave up with it after a list of difficulties. But now the old engine is out and the new engine sat in the bay, so just needs plumbing in! Saved me an awful lot of hassle and swearing, so massive thanks guyZ :thumbup1:

Hi Just had my car tuned with nismo on E85. I got 422 rwhp and about 550nm torque. The person that tune the car said the injetors maxed out at 1 bar (615cc). Isn't that a bit low for the injectors to be maxed out at 1 bar and 422 rwhp? Nismo was used when tuned. fast listing includes engine rebuild set from z1 gt600r turbos from z1 nismo 615cc z1 smic doolz forged internals 2.5" exhaust all the way He said there were some problems with nismo. He was not sure if it was software or hardware? He said he should send me the log... Just have to wait for that. What do you guys think? isn't it a bit ow with 422rwhp on E85

Hi, Im in need of somebody who has a lot more knowledge than me about the software. Ive been having trouble loading a Base map thats been adjusted to suit my car that i think has been done to V 1.19. Looking at the error coming up on my ECU ive got the software V 1.21 Is it possible to convert the map to V 1.21? Im guessing this could be the problem. Ive been searching the AEM forum and im not getting anywhere.

Hi chaps, I am nearing the end of an engine rebuild. I will be running an AEM EMS. However, during the run in stage i thought it would be best to run a chipped ECU, then move onto the EMS when all is fine and dandy. Is this necessary? If so, i have another little query. The car was originally a manual NA. So i have a manual NA ECU. I also have a UK auto TT ECU. The car will be a manual TT. If chipped, can i use either of these ECUs? And finally, where can i get said chip? (bear in mind this will only be used for about 1k miles so i dont wanna pay silly bucks) I can post spec if necessary Thanks
