Was checking a loom I have amongst my spares today and noticed some of the connectors are full of a kind of green gunk, for want of a better word. What is this? And how does it occur?

Right, after fanny assing about changing the auto gearbox for a working one, ive still got the same problem, the car wants to pull off when in D in 2nd all the time, i can get 1st gear as long as i select it first then move the stick to D, but then it refuses to change to 3rd or 4th. i still get reverse. So if its not the gearbox? what the hell is it? unfortunately the one thing i do not have spare is a Auto gearbox ECU. Before i changed the gearbox and engine i was getting an error from nissan data scan saying ERROR communication to auto box ecu interrupted or something like that.

Right the restore of my barn find Zed is going well, I hope to be on the road by late September but I'm sure something will pop up!!!! I'm planning a full re-spray in the standard UK black so a couple of questions: Is the black on a UK car anything special or just plane old black? What should I expect to pay, I will be stripping everything off for the body shop removing lights ECT. Has anyone any advice and what have you paid for this to be done. need to understand how to top up my auto gearbox , and be sure i have the correct level, do i have to do this with the engine hot or cold , running or turned off etc etc, any help appreciated

Hi all , does anybody know how to disable the little push button that you need to depress when the igntion is off in order to remove the ignition key, at present i have a turbo timer wired in but a bit pointless really as i cant remove the igniton key until its counted down and turned the engine off anyway. i want to be able to remove the key , leave the engine running whilst the countdown does its thing, lock the car up and walk away. ta

ok here goes car audio to me is a right minefield (i do work in pa/dj equipment normally so understand ohm, power ratings etc) everyone quotes max powers on amplifiers but not sure when it comes to wiring kits........ i've just bought a custom sub off ebay for the zed and a amplifier the amplifier was rated at 350wx4 + 300w centre channel & 1000w sub so 2700w max when i did a little digging i actually found it was 50wx4 +70w + 120w so 390w rms (which is what i'm used to working in) which funnily would not match the max ratings quoted anyway wiring kit i'm looking at a 10awg kit which quotes upto 1000w would this be suitable?

thinking of removing my bumper bar on the front of the z, just to save weight on the front of the car is there any side affects like will the car be weaker at the front under hard braking/cornering etc, its mostly a track day car

did a Search on google and only came up with 1 link but it wasnt uk... i asume and looks like an Amp .. but why would it have this if the car wasnt fitted with bose units .. ?

right was having a really productive day off got my new exhaust sorted, wrapped and fitted then had the bright idea of finding my oil leak, (thought to be rocker covers) after fighting all day got the job done turned the key and... cough splutter dead. does the same every time, if you open the throttle slightly it doesn't die but its not right. on top of that their is now a water leak? and i didn't find any sign of an oil leak... water leak is easy to fix any idea what to do about running sh!t? ecu code 53- 02 sensor right side? i didn't touch that, ran fine after exhaust was fitted. any ideas it was so reliable till i tried to fix som…
