Right then.. Engine is out if my zed, as is half the loom, the battery, the battery terminals erc... How do i get the ELECTRIC drivers seat to go forward to get it out??? Got the front 2 nuts off, but the back 2 are undee the seat!!!

we got home today from the maternity unit after only 12 days ! 30 min before we were due to leave a local photographer came in to take our picture which should be in the Ayrshire post baby section either next week or two weeks time. Well the thing is my wife Bernadette just happened to be wearing one of the red club polo shirts which can be clearly seen in the picture taken. How's that for promoting the club ! Hopefully I'll get a copy soon and post it up for all to see !

Anyone know where i can get one to snug the car away with? fed up of cleaning the dust off in the garage.

Spotted a Red 300zx on the Tippethill road heading towards Armadale at approx 3.45pm, Had a black nose cone. Looked rather nice on the move, anyone on here??

Small world or what, was talking with a mate who has a breaker yard in Birmingham and he mentioned a zed they had in so thought I take a look and surprise its an old forum zed and has a Zedworld cambelt sticker on to boot! Sure you guys will recognise it....well before the damage that is, the shiney bits had already gone from the engine...to guys here I understand, you know who you are you lucky devil, got a bargain. well, thought id take my mind off of recent events and get a bit more done on the motor, anyway went down to the car once the little ones were all tucked in bed, connected the fuel lines, connected the coil packs and injectors, cas unit / TPS / ICV, O2 sensors, boost solenoids and what not, went to connect the battery, connected the earth first, went to connect the live and im getting arching like the 4th of july plus smoke from the negative wire, so removed the live instantly. what would be the cause of this? im at a loss as the live is fed down to the start motor and connected at the correct points. the neg is also mounted on the gearbox mount bolt at the correct p…

Hi guys, I've got this real nasty squeeking sound coming from under both the front arches. It sounds like dry rubber or something. Tracked it down today and it seems to be the joints of the metal bar right behind and on top of the front wheels (if that makes any sense) which I suppose are the top suspension arms. Think its their bushes that have had it. Anyone ever had this or heard of this issue??

Hi everyone. I'm trying to get hold of someone from DTA for a password and licence code for Conzult. My laptop HDD recently died and I need to re-install the s/w. Can anyone help? I hit a brick wall trying to get hold of these codes a few months ago too! Many thanks, Dave

When fitting this today I found I cannot use the bottom hose support bracket What way has anybody else secured this? The only way I can see is attaching it by cable ties to the anti roll bar. Also after fitting this I cannot believe how open to the elements the bottom hose is, if you ran over something sharp the potential there to cut the hose is unbelievable.

........I turn the volume up:confused1: if I turn the volume past 24 turns itself off then power comes back on but if I do not lower volume will switch itself straight back off etc etc. Any thoughts on this! On the plus side when i got my car back the central locking never worked with the alarm fob, but after taken off door panel I found that all it was...was the little clamp came loose that clamps onto the bar controlling the central locking:dance: Bigdavezx if you are reading this do you still have the 2nd alarm fob???

so my black zed was in for it mot yesterday and mid day I got a call saying it failed ! The nice receptionist on the phone informed me that it failed on 4 counts. First two counts I was told were my indicators failed due to incorrect colour, well I started an argument on that one straight off stating that the indicators are the correct colour and that it passed last years no problem. Third was securing bolt for passenger seatbelt, which I never tightened when I last took the interior out, which I felt a right idiot on that one. Took the Zed in for her MOT today and came away with another 12 month cert :D She would have failed on emmissions but as she's only done 150 miles since last year's test, the tester gave her the benefit of the doubt ("she needs a good blast to clear her out") Went to fill her up at my local Shell afterwards, and got an unexpected compliment from a biker on the forecourt - "fine example, don't see many that good any more". Altogether I'm chuffed - I will drive her more this year! CheerZ Steve :)

A little bit of background, which can be skipped - Since I bought my Zed I've had a big switch on the side of the headlight pod for sidelights / headlights. Apparently the normal turn switch broke and the lights were wired to into this great ugly industrial sized switch inserted into the side of the pod. Later I discovered the lights had been rewired directly from battery, from what I can work out it bypasses the normal relay. I have no permanent main beam on pushing the stalk forward, only 'flash' main beam. Fog lights don't work either. After seeing Boldy,s inner wings:wub: i would like to get mine un cluttered, not going the full hog like Alan,s [would love to] but just get rid of some useless bitz like hicas actuator etc. Is there any hints on what i could remove, and what i need to delete the hicas? Looked in the search but minimal amount of info. Dave

As title are they better then the oe pipes? Purchased my car back as most will know and Dave added a set of hardpipes with red hoses and to be honest they look out of place under my bonnet! If the hard pipes are a better bet does any body know where i could purchase some black hoses to replace the red ones, or any body want to swap:whistling:
