What fluids/oils do I need to make sure I have ready for an impending manual conversion? Thanks in advance for your help guys.

What's the best way to remove lacquer from wheels?

assuming the oil pressure gauge is fine, what else can cause low oil pressure on TT engines.

Following my earlier thread, I had my new wheels fitted on Saturday. I had originally intended to swap the tyres from the old wheels as they had loads of life in them...... .......or so it seemed. The tread on fronts had started to come away on the inner edge, I only noticed it in the tyre shop so I had to buy new tyres whilst the car was there. And the only decent brand they had in stock were Continentals - then one of the rears had a nail in it (although not all the way so it wasn't terminal) and the other had developed a "bulge." The zed with the unusual bodykit that was mentioned a few days ago has revealed its clutch horror story today and I thought I would share it. We knew it was never going to be pretty, the complete lack of any drive and the pungent smell from the bellhousing area served only to persuade us to not mess about and just pull the box. The pictures reveal all, with most of the plate lining material deposited around the bellhousing and the cover plate fingers, but the sight of a naked drive plate was enough to make this a serious Kodak moment, enjoy.... I phoned up Racelogic today to get some info about installing my digital adjuster. Bloke told me that the lead with LED on it used with the manual control isn't needed. So he told me how to make it act as a shift change light! Turns out that using the software you can set a rev limit for the light to come on which tells you when to change gears. Only works with the digital unit but a nice little free feature :cool3:

Is it difficult to replace the actuator hoses, as ive seen they unfortunately have boost jets in them causing boost spikes! unfortunately the boost jets/ mig tips are at the actuator end, so need to replace the entire line. whats needed to do so please.

A mate of mine spotted you pull over near the Audi dealership near Blackbird Road - he thought it was me cos he was waiting for me to pick him up - unfortunately I was broken down a few streets away! :( Stock lip spoiler, multispoke wheels, what looks like a Scarab front bumper and a vented headlight panel. I never saw it myself but he took a crap photo of it. Not Vodkashots, not ArtZtogo, not Boldy, not Peach!! Who else has got a blue Z in the midlands!!!!

I'll start by saying yes I know there is a search function lol... I'm guessing its not the targas, and the A/C has been deleted. Did it twice the other day - once on a spirited take off and once round a corner, yellowy horrible water started pissing into the passenger footwell. Does this sound like it could be the matrix? right after my paint is slaking off my front bumper and found numerous scratches and parts where the laquer has come off? could this be like buffed out or i think its time to get a respray soon!, i am in derby where is the best place to be heading can pearl white be matched on certain parts? also is there different shades of pearl white i like the colour ive got but i want a little whiter but not like audi white or whatever you call it!, do i also need to strip the car down for them to spray? i am unsure as i have never had this done got abit of cash stashed away just need to know what im getting into and is it worth it?, also i ahve a crack in …

Went to Awesome fest today, was a great day, something there for everybody. Im happy to say 2 zeds were in on the action! 1 was the white one ive seen on here, green front wheels, silver rears. G reg jap TT. That one was going really well, sounded nice, drifted well and looked cool. The other one, was green, had Drift Monkey written on it, and didn't really drift! At the start of the day, i thought it was smoking, hard to tell with all the tyre smoke about. By the end of the day, it was clear to see, smoke pouring out of the exhaust. I'd say dead turbos! Anybody know it?

Has anyone fitted Stillen anti roll bars to the Zed? I tried fitting the Front today but finally realized after messing around for ages that its impossible to bolt the brackets with the poly bush to the chassis. On the chassis leg where you are ment to bolt the bracket there is a lump that i guess is to align the standard mount. On the Stillen poly bush it doesnt alloy for this. What have you guys done? Just to to say a big thanks to Baz :clap: Last Thursday I advertised in the "Items wanted" section for a boot/fuel release cable as mine had snapped. Within a very short period of time Baz replied that he had one and the transaction was carried out. I'm looking for some of the 10mm bolts and the bits they go into that hold on the front bumper at the bottom, they are also found on other parts of the car. I'm sure Nissan would have them but would rape me to get them. Can anyone recommend anywhere that would do them cheap? Thanks, Daz.

Only things i didnt like on it were the rust as it was a UK car, the 18" wheels made buying tyres expensive, and the exhaust a touch loud. But this rectifies all of these shortfalls! If its as rust and dent free as the seller says it is (which is believable seeing its only been in the country for 7 years, and the low mileage suggests it was sensibly garaged over winter) and its got good service history, then surely its a good bet! Screw the flat buying, i want this!

Saw a light blue one today. I think it was an L reg. Was parked in the Thane & Mears garage on Caerphilly Road around 4.45pm ish.

I've just finished cutting my injector wires and re-soldering them into my traction control loom. Started the engine and all seems fine, each injector is clicking away nicely. But then I thought, how would you know if you had accidently connected the wrong injector to the loom? I was using the plug method to install the loom so that I could unplug it if need be. If the injector was connected wrongly i.e. inj1 signal on the ecu side got connected to inj3 signal on the engine side. The injector would still fire as it's getting a signal from the ecu. But would this cause a problem and would you be able to tell? I haven't mixed them up, so just wondering real…

common guys tt and na. adverage milage before rebuild, who has the most in teh club who has teh fewest from factory. and how long are modded engines running moddest power around 350 or so bhp lasting with minimal supporting mods????? mine died at an indicated 80k khm its an auto tt. but i dont believe the milage tbh.

My cars been off the rd for a few month and hasnt been started for 2month after starting it today its nowmaking a tappety noise from the engine wich it has never made before. Any1 got any ideas what it could be?.
