Hi all, this was a thought I just had. What if we were to have a sticky thread, (I'm talking to the mods here I guess?) where side views of all our Zeds could be uploaded to allow people to see various wheel styles on different colour cars etc? Not to load you up with more work but obviously it would be better if a mod were in charge of it to keep the thread tidy....? Just although as its hard to find good examples for wheels nowadays isn't it.... :) Just a though........ Discuss :D

As per the title. Ideally I need to replace most of the coil pack connectors, a few injector connectors and a couple of other randoms. How long roughly am I looking at to replace all 6 coil pack and injector sockets and the two randoms ones? Depending on how long it will take I might be better of putting those hours in at work and getting the loom, what do you think? I've priced a new loom at £360 all in. Does anyone know of one cheaper. It's for a '91 TT Manual. Cheers

Hi all, Can someone confirm what the measurements are for the rear brake discs on a 91 plate NA? I've read a few posts on this site that say that TT rears fit the NA version and I bought some yesterday but the seller of the discs (M-Tec on eBay) are being funny about shipping them to me and wanting me to confirm the size. They are saying that the discs "must be swapped like for like". Big thanks - really appreciate help with this :) S.

My rear break caliper came loose last night, one of the bolts had actually come clean out. It was just swinging on the disc. had to tighten the remaining bolt with a pair of pliers and limp home. Finally got round to changing the disks last Monday so its obvious its because its been disturbed, so I think some lock-tight this time round is in order. Has this happened to anyone else before?

Was well impressed with my swb N/A manual z, I brought it as a backup incase my TT wasn't ready for the trip( it wasn't!) so I took the N/A on the trip along with two scoobys and a Clio 172, it's got a few small mods.. exhaust, chip and lightened pulley, when you wind it up it goes really well ( nothing between it and a Subaru rb5 in pickup speed around the track I went past him on the corners, absolutely loved it, great machine! I would have set a lap time however realized I had massive brake vibrations about 1/3 way round but still had a great time

Hi guys, So in my magic garage which has lots of bits and bobs in, I have 2 of the nicest 300ZX front bumpers. And I don't know which one I want to wear for a while. first up, is the well know 99 spec front bumper. & 2nd is a nice wings west front. So at the minute, the car is fairly standard looking apart from alloys, side skirts and zaust. The future plans are to go wide arch. What I want to know is which bumper will suit the car best as it is now and which when I go wide arch

The problem of lower arm metal fatigue where the tension rod arm bolts through the lower arm was identified some years ago by our very own Mac1 and the subsequent issue with solid poly-bushes. The manufactures of the tension bushes went through a series of modifications to resolve the issue and finally arrived with a more compliant poly bush ( kind of defeats the object!!) the zeds effected were I guess dealt with and the problem seemed to of got less common. However there is the odd few still displaying the metal fatigue problem and with lower arms retailing at £200+ each its an expensive repair, but no need to go spending near on £400 to sort the problem. …

I am having a nightmare with front pads! I have the skyline Brembo caliper and 320mm disc conversion but am finding it difficult to get usable pads. Ive just changed from Ferodo DS 2500 Pads (FCP1298H) as they were too hard for the road and sqealed sooo much. Bought a set of new EBC discs and yellow stuff pads (code EBCDP41032R) and once again fine when you get some real heat in but driving around town the noise is horendos! As well as that even when the brakes are not being applied there is a sound from the pads, like they are slightly touching the discs, like metal to metal eeerrggghhh:no: Can anyone give me the part code for the standard Blueprint pa…

Just wondering... where do you all go to have ya car sorted out??? I know a lot on here do thier own stuff and so do I but sometimes things get a bit busy in life and you eventually say ... hey my car will die without help so you have to bite the bullet and give it to someone else to do. So, where would ya go? where do ya go?. Right now I need belts doing and have a noisy tappet (lifter). Also have a auto trans changing up way to high in normal driving buy hoping a filter/fliud change will sort that. I think I am expecting a massive bill on this one but hey... thats what ya get when ya have a supercar... just asking who I can trust if anyone can help (the las…

With an obvious condensor leak the zed in the workshop it looked like a straight forward replacement job, but no this was anything but. The condensor replacement on a zed goes one of two ways, either the alloy threads undo with out issue or they strip out the threads and you stuffed. So with this in mind its a case of slowly, slowly with lots of WD40 in the threads. But once the condensor was removed it was clear there was a second leak as the injected dye had left tell tale signs on the front member ( under the radiator ) this could not be seen with the condensor in place. The pipe is held down to the front member with a plastic clip and its most bizzare that t…

I've forked out on two different types of degreaser and neither of them have touched the thick dirty/oily/greasy parts of my engine. The first was some autofactors own brand stuff and the second was GUNK, that I was assured was 'really good'. It's not. What do you use that's good and preferably can be used on paint so it doesn't strip my engine bay?
