Ok, I have now purchased my boost gauge and will be fitting it this week. Now the question is were should i fit it in the cabin? I have been swaying towards removing the ashtray and fitting it there, but keeping the lid so to keep the standard look when closed. Anyone done this before or is there a reason why this isn't an option? Any other suggestions fire away. Cheers in advance

I have got a noise from my n/a manual gearbox when in gear. I can only describe as an "induction air sucking" noise, it works fine and has the thrust bearing noise when the clutch is dropped in neutral but just wondered your thoughts, I'm going to do an oil change so will see if it cures it,

I'm still trying to get to the bottom of why my NA isn't starting. I have got to the stage of checking power and function of relays and took some relays out of my TT to try, but on my NA instead of an EGI green relay, it has a bank of 3 fuses? The fuse box didnt come with a cover so I can only check my TT one, I wondered if this was correct or if someone has been swapping things around hoping that I'll never be able to get it to run again lol  This picture shows the EGI green relay and its position, but as I say this isn't on my NA its just a block with 3 fuses in.

Sorry if this question sounds stupid, it probably is, and is more than likely the simplest answer ever. But I want to be sure! OK, as most of you know, Im desperately seeking a new exhaust. My Car is a 1990 2+2 Auto Turbo. What exhaust do I need exactly. Some say pre-cat only, whats that? I know I need a LWB exhaust. But is there actually other differences I need to take into account? Like I said probably a stupid question, but better safe than sorry before parting with cash.

Hi All, I've recently purchased a Japspeed radiator for my NA, I've seen that the bottom radiator mounting points are different between TT and NA and that I need a conversion bracket to mount the radiator. I know Z1 and Concept Z performance both sell them, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a UK supplier? Cheers Pete

Ok some weeks back ( 3 months!!!!) my autobox which has served me faultlessly for 10 years suddenly developed the usual signs of failure. With a manual conversion sitting on the shelf I could have dropped ito straight in but with our normal busy workshop taking 99% of my time I thought it would be nice to use the main parts from the kit but with all new parts that wear out. So I took the time to put together new hydraulic slave and master cylinders, new clutch, flywheel, new one piece propshaft, remapped a manual ecu to suit my requirements, new lower and upper rubber gaitors, new upper leather gaitors, new gearshift bushes, new pedal rubbers, new peddle shaft…

I took my clutch off last night and found it to be a twin plate OS Giken item, nice! I've seen these highly rated by alot of people on here so im hoping someone will be able to tell me which model it is exactly? The only digits i've found on it are in the second photo but on the OS Giken site they relate to several different clutches. The end pictures are the friction plates, they look thin to me, what do you think? Can these be resurfaced or do I need to buy new plates? First time i've seen inside a clutch like this and im not familiar with all the parts. I've written what I think some parts are under the picture but if you can put the number and what they actu…

My new suspension controller now fitted and working great! At the push of a button I can stiffen up the Teins and chuck it into bends then come out and cruise :scooter: Just though I would show off a bit... Worthwile investment though, love it.

At the moment I'm busy trying to sort my leaking heater matrix out (hoping its not the valve) and whilst I'm at it sort the issue with the vents, it would only blow to windscreen not footwell. Does anyone know when this motor is supposed to operate? I have it out and in bits, sometimes it does something but not very much. I've plugged the climate controller back in and swapped between auto and windscreen and still nothing happens. The motor does work though, just not doing what I'd expect. Cheers

Hi All. So after installing the new faces on my clocks(from ZX-TT) I re-built the clocks, surrounding area and switches. Put the negative lead back on the battery and got a 'bong-bong'.. I had accidently thumbed the fog light switch and the door was open.. no drama there. If anything - that was a good sign. so I need power for these new faces and got it from the power to the lights splicing into the wires behind switch gear. No drama here either. It worked well.. I had Bright green faces or Bright Blue when I turned the lights on.. had a bit of a play.. very happy.. :blink:Then something changed. Minutes later. I now have full-beam and only ful…

J299 has the Bailiey blow off valves fitted down by the intercoolers, where as I notice a lot of valves on other cars are fitted close to the turbo Plenum outlet areas. Is there a performance advantage to either location?
