Ive heard that no.6 injector can suffer from low fuel pressure due to being the last one on the rail and furthest from the fuel feed inlet.......and was wondering if there is any advantage to blocking the the original fuel inlet on the rail and introducing a tee-piece into the hose that joins the two sides of the rail at the front, so theoritically both sides of the rail are feed from a central point and the pressure should be fairly equal on both sides........discuss :)

Ok, I am toying with the idea of removing the a/c from my zed. I am looking to remove as much as possible from the engine to make it less busy and a bit more presentable. Now how much of a difference is there between having it and not? ( in terms of components in the bay? ). I really enjoy having air con on my daily, but i reckon i can live without it on the zed. After all if it's hot then i can just whip off the targa's. Also another contribuing indecision on removing it is the fact that my zed has only done 48k, and i don't plan on putting mega miles on it. So would removing the air con have a massive effect on value? Cheers in advance

Had some terrible weather today, whilst I was at work the wifes Vectra is now a total loss as it got fully submerged. The Zed was garaged but took a fair bit of water as well, managed to get it started and it drives and runs fine, but has a few inches of water in it. Are there any drain holes I can open to get the worst of the water out before getting it cleaned up?

Firstly let me say thankyou to Yewcheck, who kindly donated a door catch. It was received in the post today, however true to our Royal Mail postal service, it came in a little plastic bag, with a printed appology on it as shown below: Today I managed to get the door card of the drivers door, to start looking at exactly what the problem was. I found it was the catch which is directly attached to the lock and a true pain in the butt to reach. Nonetheless, I managed to locate it and remove the problem catch as shown below: As you can see at the top of the clip, it should be a complete circle, which attaches to the back of the "key hole". Unfortunatel…

Hi all, Z's been sleeping for 5years (due to a whole range of circumstances) in a cozy dry garage, but now it's time to finally get it back on the road, just wondered what you'd suggest i check out/change before i try and drive somewhere for an MOT, and also what'd be good to have serviced on it after 5 years of sleep. Cheers David

Some of you may have seen I've done a manual conversion on my NA with an engine change at the same time. The car turns over but will not start as I'm getting no spark. I have noticed though that the power light is flashing and wondered if thats normal in a conversion and what it means? i've done a search and found it means autobox fault, have I missed some wiring somewhere or something? I haven't done the reverse light wiring or ECU pin 44 ground yet maybe thats why?

Only when car is warmed up, level ground or slightly facing downhill. I have had pcv valves fitted but it still does it, if I bring the revs up a bit to say 1500rpm it stops smoking...
