Hi, OK... totally lost now… indicator issue…. They don’t flash, just stay on.. and if I leave them on the fuse blows. So, I have LED’s all round, they all work because the alarm system on and off flashes all of them, the hazard switch works and they all flash. It doesn’t matter what side I turn on it’s the same thing, but only that side turn on. I’ve replaced the flasher unit and no change, I’ve also replaced the hazard switch and ignition still no change. I’ve checked for resistance at the indicator switch and both sides good and no leak. I pulled out the hazard fuse and tried again but same result. I pulled the flasher fuse and jumped …

So a cambelt service is a normal run of the mill job yesterday but one that reminded me of how easy it is to get things wrong if you do not know how to check things correctly. Have heard a few owners here and our own customers sometimes suggest the cambelt is ok because they checked it by looking behind the right hand cover, now whilst you can check its general condition its no where near acurate enough to make a long term decision on. So back to the case in point, take a look at the first picture below of the belt I removed, it could be taken as a belt in good condition, even the timing lines are still there as is the Nissan logo further round. Picture tw…

Discovered in a breaker shell we were about to dispose of and remembered we had not removed the ecu, the ecu has a US designated number on the front and the zed it came from did have a few US parts fitted such as adjustable front shocks as well as rears and the correct touring and sport button for them. A few minutes to take the lid off and presto a genuine JWT conversion, there is a serial number written on the inside that fits with a full conversion by JWT an expensive way to doing it for sure!! make for a nice display item in the workshop cabinet. Hi chaps, I have been speaking to a supplier of The TwinZ diffuser. Is it possible to arrange a group buy? They are happy to offer the part in all its variants (2+2, 2+0, UK/Jap plates) The supplier is not from the UK so the biggest saving from this group buy will likely be the shipping. Let me know if the committee are happy enough for this to go ahead? I would be happy to arrange it. I dont know of anybody in the UK that offers diffusers so hopefully this is not treading on anybodies toes. Hopefully this will let guys in the UK access to a part that we all know aint easy to get your hands on. Thanks

Hi there... I'm wondering if anybody has done or considered a decent diesel conversion for the Z? I've always wanted 1, I've had 3 200sx's a supra and a few other "fun" cars over the years. The only reason I haven't brought 1 recently is because I have to travel a fair few miles and fuel economy is a big thing lately. Sooooo... My question is... Are there any decent diesel engines that will fit easily enough into a Z and will the cost outweigh the savings? Cheers people :-)

Oke doke. As some of you know I am moving to the USA very soon. I was hoping to hang on to my car for the next few months but clearly cannot. So It has to go. A friend of mine has kindly put it up in his garage for sale at £6999. I believe for that he would warrant the car too. Not bad. It needs to go quickly so a reasonable good offer would not be refused, but a quick sale is now needed.....just left things a bit late I think! Anyway here is the link:http://www.havenmotors.co.uk/used_cars_sussex_nissan_63.htm Failing that get me on 07775 592 545 or email me barryj_schofield@yahoo.co.uk I will stay a member too and keep everyone informed of where …

Hi All, I've been thinking about doing do my auto to manual conversion in my na Zed and as it's harder to get a na clutch kit and more expensive too, wondered if a TT clutch kit would be a simple alternative.

I have a '91 NA that has recently undergone some major surgery all at once... mainly a replacement engine and a manual conversion using TT gearbox & parts. Anyway I got all the fluids done at the weekend but it wouldnt start even after about a minutes worth of cranking, made no improvement in attempting to start so I figured something was up. I haven't checked for spark yet but theres definately fuel, just wondered if I had missed anything with the gearbox conversion? I haven't ground pin 44 on the ECU yet but that wont stop it will it? Will be looking at it tomorrow and unless anyone flags anything up I'll be checking connections & ptu etc.

Hi guys, The passenger side back box has been banging on the body when lifting off the power. I got underneath it and put it down to the exhaust being in the wrong place on the hangers. I moved it into the right place but within 10 miles it has moved back to where it was and is banging again. What can I check and do to stop it moving? Cheers
