Just wondering... where do you all go to have ya car sorted out??? I know a lot on here do thier own stuff and so do I but sometimes things get a bit busy in life and you eventually say ... hey my car will die without help so you have to bite the bullet and give it to someone else to do. So, where would ya go? where do ya go?. Right now I need belts doing and have a noisy tappet (lifter). Also have a auto trans changing up way to high in normal driving buy hoping a filter/fliud change will sort that. With an obvious condensor leak the zed in the workshop it looked like a straight forward replacement job, but no this was anything but. The condensor replacement on a zed goes one of two ways, either the alloy threads undo with out issue or they strip out the threads and you stuffed. So with this in mind its a case of slowly, slowly with lots of WD40 in the threads. But once the condensor was removed it was clear there was a second leak as the injected dye had left tell tale signs on the front member ( under the radiator ) this could not be seen with the condensor in place. I've forked out on two different types of degreaser and neither of them have touched the thick dirty/oily/greasy parts of my engine. The first was some autofactors own brand stuff and the second was GUNK, that I was assured was 'really good'. It's not. What do you use that's good and preferably can be used on paint so it doesn't strip my engine bay?

OK, maybe I am just getting use to her now, but I am convinced that my tt just is just simply not right. Don't get me wrong, she boosts fine and generally pulls great through the gears but she lacks that expected kick in the back, if you know what I mean? I am starting to miss judge over taking due to the difference to what I feel should happen and what actually does. It's getting embarrassing tackling the middle of the range cars now. I dare not even consider taking on the likes of Audi's or Jag. Hi all, I'm trying to find a set of front and rear discs for an NA 91 plate Z32. Hi all, Wondered if you could help with this one, I'd usually ring up Jeff and book her in up in Birmingham but this one is leaving me reluctant to drive the ~125mi up there. Idle is rough, really rough. Car is rocking a bit kinda rough. It gets progressively worse up until about 3,000 RPM then it's a little better but the exhaust note is not how it usually is. It doesn't seem to boost to more than about the 0PSI mark so I'm assuming I'm in safety boost also? It sorta sounds a bit like a tractor so I'm again assuming I'm down a cylinder. Hi all, Does anyone know the standard dia of the fuel lines including the hard pipes that run from the tank to the engine bay? Im hoping 8mm but im thinking they are 6mm for some reason. I know the braided pipes leading to my Nismo FPR and the pipes going in and out of my 300 degree fuel rail is 8mm but that seems pointless if the feeds from the tank are smaller. Cheers Dan

well my gearbox is dead my car whines on boost, it looks like a shed and is Hemorrhageing power steering fluid, and now...... my head lights are playing up... right when i turn the sidelights on, the dash doesn't light up, then when i turn the headlights on the dash still doesn't light up but the full beams come on??? the stalk is working i can flash or put the full on, when i put the front fogs on the dash lights up, could this be the pod that's failed? or is there a fuse?

As some of you probably know - i had this shitty 34 error. Mr Baz helped me out and sent me another sensor which i fitted on top of the engine (as advised by TwinTurbo). All looks good - i clear the error, got code 55 and after starting it up got code 34 back again! Maybe it's wiring? How do i check my wires?

Just sorted through the pile of parts that have been gathering for a few months to see what I've actually got and get it loaded for going to the garage tomorrow, calipers still need sanding and another couple of coats of paint. Ever since I got my Zed the washer jets keep getting blocked due to stuff in the bottle. The fact I pretty much always use the car in dry weather only and thus don't use the wipers much can't help. Is there any easy way to clean out the bottle without stripping the car down to get to it? Cheers.

As above, went to the Retro Show at Santa Pod and had a brilliant morning, sorry I missed Rustysills... Did a couple of runs up the strip to compare my LWB n/a to my old SWB n/a... was expecting mid 16's which is quite respectable for a 17 year old stock n/a and wasnt far out...trouble is I enjoyed it that much I may have the bug again :) Retro Show.PDF

ok a beginning of week it started to pop on over run every now and then ... but then another day i was barley drivable in the evening... Hi all, New to the world of zx and indeed this forum. I own a z32 1990 tt. I have an electrical issue which has baffled me. Basically when I start the car now, my wipers (front and rear), heating - basically anything on the pod on the left of the steering wheel doesnt work. In addition to that the cigerette lighter doesnt work, nor does the folding mirrors or electrical adjust side mirrors. Also the break light doesnt work when i press the pedal. Although when I have the lights on the first setting break lights do work. I think its an issue with the fuses or the ignition positive wire going to all of these. Any thoughts on how to fix or diagn…
