Which additional gauges everyone is using? I mean - boost / oil / temp etc .. ?

hi just wondering if you could let me know what sensor(in red) this is and what the 2 pipes(in yellow) are for?

can somebody tell me exactly what would be involved in the conversion , the pitfalls and of course exactly what i will need , thanks sayers

Drove my son up to a friends house yesterday but unknown to me my bonnet was not fully closed after I was cleaning around the engine bay earlier. So droped him off and heading home I pushed the zed on (up to the speed limit) the next thing I knew there was a loud scraping noise under the car so got home and looked underneath the engine bay and the plastic undertry was hanging on with one screw! So the wind blowing through the engine bay at speed must of ripped it of.I was just glad the bonnet did not fly up into the windscreen or it would of been goodnight SWB.Need a new undertry now and looking at these or maybe make my own. http://www.zspeedperformance.com/ZSpeed-Perf…

noticed today a small part of my dash by the windscreen has started to lift i know its an age old thing on the zeds anyone got a easy fit or does the dash have to come out and stuck back down

Going to go out this afternoon and fit the Mongoose Cat Back Quad Tail System, I been out and bought new U Brackets for connecting rear to middle sections. RTV Sealent, and M10 Nuts and Bolts. I dont have gaskets, as I was advised here I could just use the Silicone (could someone confim this?) Also, once the new system is on, and bolted up, how long should I wait for the silicone sealent to set, before starting up the car? Kindest Regards Ryan

My Mate who purchased his Black wide arch off a salvage site with very minimal damage has got himself something special:yes::yes: it goes like a rocket, boost over 18 and wants to tear up the tarmac ! He has had the car on his ramps at work [just put a new clutch in it] and the are larger then mine and look pretty new but cannot see any identification Is there a way of identifying?? Dave

Friday evening followed a black zed turning into TESCO, Hamilton, Leicester.

Ok bit if a strange one but here goes, I know that the zed shares the same shock absorber setup as the R32 GTR. Now would i be able to fit zed shocks and springs to a R32 GTR?? Reason i ask is i may be buying a GTR with the intention of punting it straight on, only it has a lovely set of tein coilovers on it which i fancy for the zed. I have bilstein b6 shocks on the zed which are fairly new ( rears havent even done 200 miles ). Cheers in advance

ok, so its said to use: 225 / 50 / 16R on the front 245 / 45 / 16R on rear Is there anywhere I can actually get four tyres the same brand and tread pattern? What does everyone else have on their UK Spec OEMs? Is there any harm having different fronts to rears? theres crap all on tonight so my lady has put columbo on as she has the lot on dvd, im on the laptop and happened to look up and there it was a 300zx full on side view behind a 928 got her to play back and yep there it is red 300zx z32 ,so i googled it and this episode was aired for the first time on the 20th of jan 1990

so you lot of clever dicks ,,,,on my uk zed why do the rears run 45s and the fronts run 50s,,,im guessing its because the rears are 254 and 50s may rub the arch ,,what do you all think

It felt really strange to see my car being driven away today after 8 years of ownership :crying::crying: , looked and sounded bl00dy lovely though :thumbup: I,ll let the new owner introduce himself if he wants to but needless to say i feel at ease that he,s going take good care of her as he,s a real zed enthusiast and it was a true pleasure to meet him . I,m still gonna pop on and see what,s going on in the world of Zeds as i,ve met so many nice people on here , your not getting rid of me that easy ! lol. Cheers for now .

Well the S14 now has a VG30dett in the engine bay with the gearbox one and all bolted in place. Turbos also on along with p/s pump, alternator, intercoolers, rad and fans. Decided on the paint, painted over most os the original dark purple, I will keep and polish the roof and bonnett in that colour but went for matt white on the rest, What do you think.....

On the intake above the dump valves??? Is this part of the old recirculation??? If so what are these meant to be blocked with??? Mine are just open.... Must have been like that for a while.... No wonder it stalls on braking at times..... Thanks.

i have put these on the car now and after looking at it i think it would be a lot more practicle to put a vented nose on but which one there is so many top vents,bottom vents,side vents what will be better please...(i hope the pic comes through)

does any one have a spare or not using an electronic boost controller could borrow me ... please i need to rule out a few things still having a little problem controlling my boost .. both controllers i have original and new one have been tested by Blitz and have come back saying fully working i have vac tested my car and i can pressurize up to 25psi with out any problems cheers Mark

I've been playing (!) around with my brakes today and contemplating buying some replacement calipers in a worst case scenario so I was reading the For Sale thread offering some calipers and realised that my calipers are not the same as those in the For Sale thread....mine dont have the 'fins' like those in the picture and also mine are bronze coloured...albeit covered in brake dust etc. They still have NISSAN on them so I'm sure are factory. My car is a JDM '95 Series 4 I believe so can anyone tell me what brakes I have ? Or are they in fact the same only cosmetically different ? Thanks Mark

is it possible ? i do want to fit aftermarket clocks that are not designed for nissan and want my power steering to work :) how to do it ?

....sometimes I just want to put a match to it !!! Failed the MOT - needed rear tyres and rear brake pads. Getting the alloys off to replace the tyres resulted in shearing THREE studs !! Rear brake pads went in ok after managing to remove the sheared studs and replacing with factory supplied replacements. Actually getting the discs off was looking like an impossibility until a neighbour pointed out the two little threaded holes on each disc that you screw a bolt into thus pushing off the disc. Attention then on the front pads......drivers side no problem....passenger side caliper one piston stuck solid ! AAARGH !!!

At the MOT station the mechanic suggested I should invest in some new pads. Got the pads and removed the old ones but I cannot get the new ones in as one piston is jammed solid !! I have tried everything I can think of but it's not moving ! If I can get the caliper off the car can anyone suggest how I could extract the piston ? I would then rebuild the caliper using a rebuild kit on both calipers. Thanks for any tips. ps the brake line nuts are also absolutely SOLID and attempts to undo them are simply rounding off the edges of the nut :-( I've liberally applied WD40 ! Cheers Mark
