Last week I fitted all my suspention goodies but I have got a small problem now as my car now hops round corners when being pushed hard. So what i would like to knpw is if you have these shocks fitted to your zed and if so what did you set the settings to as I have mine set on the soft setting at pressent. Plus did you have a problem to when going into corners hard. :)

Can someone advise me as to which brake pads to buy please? I am looking for general road use with the ability to cope with a spirited driving now and then. The ones I have at the moment (unknown brand) only seem to be effective once they reach a certain temperature. Trouble is, I nearly get caught out now and again so could do without the uncertainty. I would like them to be there from the off. Front pads by the way.

your probably all fed up of hearing about my zeds faults, but here another anyway, sorry... on the way home yesterday my zed started acting strange even by its standards, the idle got rougher and rougher until it cut out all together at the top of my road and then refused to start again. been over it today, and i cant find any obvious air leaks, which was my first port of call as when my s13 popped an intercooler hose off it behaved similar, now if you disconnect the AFM (in my case the selin) i can start it and it holds idle, what does this mean?? is one of my afm's dead? it happened over 2 miles which seems strange if a pipe had come off …

I don't believe what it happening is correct! No matter what temperature I set the Auto Climate too, even as high as 40 (max). As soon as I hit the auto button the magnetic clutch engages with the air conditioning compressor, even though the heater is blowing hot air into the cabin as it should. This can't be right surely? Any ideas guy's?????

http://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=NISSAN&model=300ZX They're a parts disty based in Scotland, got a lot of stuff from them for my Honda. Always seemed really friendly, helpful, reasonably priced and fast delivery. Don't think their parts selection for 300zx is that massive, but just wondering if anyone else has ever used FP and what they thought?

My exhaust started blowing and it turned out to be loose bolts on the drivers side turbo elbow on the turbo side Anyway after much swearing and blood I noticed there wasn't a bolt on the top side closest to the engine so I thought I would borrow one out of my old engine only to find that bolt was missing out of the same place is this a common thing , seems strange to have two engines with the same bolt missing

I have just been out and about, and I kept noticing my radio display flickering on and off, (the radio was turned down but on), then a little later, every time I accelerated or hit a bump in the road, my headlights, dash lights, radio and engine would cut off for a split second then come back on, sometimes everything cutting off a few times a second for a few seconds. So, what could cause this? I can't really think off a way I could replicate this fault. I got home and checked around the fusebox and passenger footwell for any evidence of water ingress, but all seems well.... Any ideas peeps? Cheers, Tudor...

Does anyone nick wheels anymore? They're BMW wheels on a BMW not a Zed. Nice 18" parallel sport ones, staggered width. Similar ones seem to go for decent money on eBay so I'm thinking it's worth getting locking nuts. I remember back in the day McGuard ones were reckoned to be the ones to have but there are some ok looking ones much cheaper on eBay. Are they ok?
