1990 TT JDM, 112K, Automatic Just acquired a new Zed. As per title I have no ABS (lamp on), power steering, HICAS (lamp on), indicators via stalk, electric windows, electric seat, interior lamp or cruise control. The CAT warning light is erratic. In addition my gearbox seems to be stuck in 2nd or 3rd. Definitely no 1st or O/D. I can go backwards, the O/D lights up but nothing happens. Sometimes you can feel it wanting to kick in but it won't. It had a reconditioned gearbox about 25,000 miles ago and the fluid is clear. Perhaps it's wishful thinking but I feel all these problems are related. Done the drivers side i believe, i disconnected it all and hooked the boost sensor to the balance bar, where the aiv was connected. the passenger side is confusing me slightly though. i assume the little sensor there is the aiv as it goes into the wing. just dunno what to do to the connections. the only guides ive found are us ones so things are in diffrent places which my brain cant handle right now lol.

Does anybody by chance have the measurements for each of the (4) individual hard brake lines for an NA SWB zed (incorporating the additional length of the braided hose from the line to the caliper). The ABS and stock hard brake lines that run the full length of my zed (underneath) are being binned. I'm also replacing the current TT BMC with that of an NA (so that I have 4 x brake line outputs rather than the 2 x brake line outputs that the TT comes with as standard due to it being fitted with ABS from the factory) The hard brake lines are being replaced with single lengths of braided lines from each output of the NA BMC, direct to each individual caliper. Took my car in for the mot last week & it needed a few things doing on it. The last thing I need to do is fix the fog light. The lights work but no symbol comes up on the dash to tell you that they're on. Is there meant to be a light on the dash or on the button itself? Can't get it through the mot without this so bit of a pain. Taking the dash out tomorrow

i need a new exhaust my trust system has been on 6 years and has been welded loads .I like the look of the hks hi power system but not keen on price can anyone recomend a simulaur lookin system my cars swb as well thanks taff:yes:

Well slowly making head way with project in between rain and more rain if only my garage was bigger !! my next on list to sort is complete renewal of brake lines front and front to back and all hoses to calipers. any body know of a ready made kit or cheaper to make my self or just get local garage to make up if take old corroded ones to them. had a dam flood in drivers foot well couldnt find where coming from till found on here targa drain pipe an yippee there it was pipe off an flooding electrics and carpet !!! Knew it was good idea to join !!!!!++++++++++

Ok so since I've not been able to find an exhaust I like I've bought an apexi n1 from a different car, I'm going to mod it to fit the 300, The thing is all the exhaust pipe on eBay is 3inch outer diameter and I want 3inch internal, or do you think as I'm making it myself I should go a little bigger and if not where can I get 3in id pipe from Paul

Hoping someone has their engine out with this bracket still in situ as I'm stumped as to where it goes. Fitted this bracket back onto the rear of the engine (red circle) and went to connect the main earth wire that comes up from the tranny to the green circled point, but the wire doesn't reach it about 4cm to short from connecting to the green circle point. Now I havn't done anything to the main earth wire and it's obviously not going to stretch, lol so can only assume that I have fitted the bracket in the wrong place/fixing point. Took it off so long ago can't remember and cannot see another hole available it only seems to fit 1 way because of the large water feed…

Ok so i remember seeing somewhere for sale fibreglass inserts for the rear quarter windows but cant find it in my links anyone remember where? I would say US, Canada or Australia as they aint gonna be over here. Also in my search came across the SPL carbon fibre bodykit and hadnt seen it before. Hi everyone, Another problem has arisen with my pain in the ass Zed, the horn goes off without pressing the button!!!!!!! Any ideas where to start as I can't live with the embarrassment LOL. I've removed the fuse for now.

Just been sent some pictures of some new parts for the Z, will be test fitting soon :thumbup: and hopefully all will be good. Will let you know when they arrive but it's something we should all splash out on to cure an annoying problem! :yes:

I've asked this question on some other forums but didn't get a reply. Hoping to get an answer here, since this is a European forum... I live in a country where everything has to be homologated, including the wheels, but I can't find a single TUV for the 300ZX. So I wonder if anyone knows any wheel configurators that have TÜV certified rims for the Z32? The only ones I've been able to find have them only from the 350Z onward. Or if anyone knows where to get TÜV certificate for various wheel sizes for the Turbo? Thanks in advance!

1991 TT 300ZX, Automatic, UK model, 81K, 50K on gearbox (reconditioned unit fitted but not in my ownership) Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on why my ZX is being a bit odd. It won't shift up unless I blip the throttle. It will either stay at the RPM I'm travelling or climb until it reaches 5500-6000rpm, then change and you'll feel it whop the torque converter in. If I lift off the accelerator anywhere within the range that's suitable to change up, she'll do it instantly and smoothly. I have been getting some smoke from my passenger exhaust for a while, comes and goes so not a constant. This lead me to think that it was my PCV valves needing to be replaced as I was still boosting well and my oil levels were not dropping. Had the car jacked up today doing an oil change and noticed that there was some oil around my passenger dump valve. Could this still be the PCV's or do I have a turbo on the way out soon?

As per title. Failed the MOT today as the ends were worn out and wobbly. Question is, is it worth trying to get new ends and repair, or buy a lockout kit and replace the lot. The garage aren't able to get the parts via their supplier to repair, so the choice is mine. Thoughts and comments...go!

Im thinking about deleting them going off what it says in the MOT manual. zeds have wrap around lenses at the front i would say so woulod it pass? Maybe Jeff will read this and see if he would pass it :) `Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1986 must be fitted with one side repeater indicator on each side. Instead of a separate lamp, the side repeater might be part of the front direction indicator if it includes a wraparound lens.`
