well as many of you know my engine is out atm, the engine bay is looking nice the guffs been removed like aivs etc all the dross is removed from the block like the egr etc. nice shiney rebuilt t25s bolted back on and im virtually ready to put the engine back in. So heres the problem. my reverse lights stopped working shortly after the manual conversion, i assumed that was because the connection had come off, well it hasnt. trouble is i cant test the switch again because the loom is disconnected from the car. atm pulling the box out is easy peasey, because its only held in by the box mount and the prop, so pulling it out atm makes loads of sense. so short of putting the …

Having got the other halfs daughter a car for passing her test, the hard part comes to insuring her. Some of the prices ive been quoted are over £1500, its a Mazda 323f 1996, so 1.5 engine, cheap to tax and run, she is 22 and passed her test last month. Only £200 for me on my own, but that doesnt help lol. I tried to get quotes with me being the named driver and adding her as an additional driver, but still comes in at £1400 as i cant use my own NCB, not transferable to another vehicle while im using it on mine. There was i jacking up the rear of the car to place some blocks underneath to raise it by a few inches when... well from the before and after pictures you can see what happened.. lucky i wasn't underneath at the time.. what was underneath was my 3 ton trolley jack which is now jammed into the ground with a 2 ton car on it!! Hi, I get quite sever 'clutch judder' when the car is warm (and it is worse if it is warm outside) and starting from both 1st and reverse gear. It makes strong vibrations especially if I have driving for a while and everything under the bonnet is warm. It feels fine when starting and the car is cold. The car is a stock car (1993 NA - which I have had for 12 years) and the clutch has only been used for two summers (about 10.000 km), since I keep the car off the road for the winter. can someone give me a few pointers on camshafts. wasn't going to bother with cams for my rebuild but one of our master techs paid me a visit today and was chatting about the new engine I've decided to uprate them, the ones i want are JWT 400+ ones, but what else do i need to run them, i know i need the special spring, but can i keep the hydraulic lifters? do i need different gears? etc?

Not sure I have one but something weird happened today. On the way to a car meet this morning, I was driving down the motorway next to my mate in his z [trying to compare speeds as his is reading waaaaay out] I accelerated away and thought I felt the clutch slip:huh: now this clutch in my car although fitted 5 years ago has only done less then 3k and its an rps street max with lightened fly etc. I am looking at premature clutch failure?????? fist of all not mine but just saw this on ebay, kinda strange its got 89 spec light holes and the splitter only fits 99 spec bumpers looks like a cross of the 2??? looked different i like it.

My air-conditioning system looses it's refrigerant after a few months, so for the past couple of years I have not bothered to get it re charged. As the compressor is running all the time, (except when set to ECO I believe) am I damaging the compressor itself? Is there any way of checking that there is sufficient lubrication left? Or should I just run in ECO mode permanently for the time being?

hi guys, i need to jack up the rear of the car, can i position the jack on the diff or is there somewhere else, i would prefer to jack the rear up as one, but can do each side on its own if i have to. Rich

I'm thinking of buying some pentroof manifolds and wanna swap the 3bolt greddy td turbo flange for the 4bolt t25 flange How much do you think it will cost for a company to weld on a new flange? Before you say they will crack ect I would add extra bracing ect and also make a mount to take some of the weight of the turbo

Hi Guys, my car came with 2 proximity type immobiliser fobs, 1 stopped working ages ago but this week the other has give up due to putting a magnet in my pocket with my keys...doh! So.. Is there any thing I can do to get them working or can anyone give me some advice on bypassing the immobiliser..

I'm just curious really. How much is a clutch worth with no friction plate? I only ask as I have a few lying around and I'm debating on getting rid (maybe). So I have an: RPS street max clutch A Z1 clutch and flywheel combo (I think) I also have a popular 6 puck clutch but I can't remember the name of it at the minute. So are they worth anything?

how much do you think a complete set of genuine Unorthodox pulleys are worth? There 2nd hand but in good condition. Cheers :)

Hi guys, Just putting this up to say thanks to car mad, He even went back to work in the evening to get sideskirts out to me cause I was in a bit of a rush to get them. Just chucked them on tonight no screws or anything looks like they fit really well and don't seem like they will need much or if any prep at all. Couple pics... Cheers car mad. And I will put some pics up when it's all shiney and painted.
