Hey gang ... Had a problem with misfiring recently, was going to check condition of plugs but when was taking them out I stumbled across this ... doesn't look too good! Thought someone here could probably give me a ballpark diagnosis. Haven't taken spark plug out yet thought I'd call it a night before hunting through my tools to find a deep enough extension to get at it. Cheers!

Hi I know there's loads of threads about the stumble/hesitation issue that seems to be a common problem in the 300ZX, and I think I've read them all, and tried most of the suggestions within them, but I'd like some advice please. I have a 1992 UK 300ZX twin turbo, with a +70BHP EEPROM upgrade and Apexi air filter. The previous owner had the car for 9 years and had the EEPROM upgrade done when he first bought it. He thinks the stumble first started about 4 years ago but as he 'drove her like a granddad when she was cold' never really bothered about it. Hi all I am thinking of taking a punt on a motor near me .... a Z32 TT auto... however .. and i quote from the ad ... let us know what you Zed guru's think......im thinking goosed auto box??? poss clutch too??? "While out for a drive on Sunday Car lost drive in all gears including reverse, I checked the fluid level and it was correct and still spotlesly clean, so I can only assume the torque converter has failed, unless there is some electronic related problem that can cause this symptom. seen a few 300's with 6x9" speakers in the front door cords. much cutting involved? and i'm guessing u have to make a mount as they are diff size to stock. pics welcome :)

The car starts fine from cold after about a mile its starts to stutter and lose power with a strong smell of petrol.its a 91 tt import.any ideas before I start pulling bits off would be most appreciated

Hello . Now I am lucky enough to need to take my sump pan off for a bit of the old welding treatment/patchwork. Question is ( I have looked in horror underneath the car on little ramps) can the sump be removed or is this an engine out job? ..and I will not be taking the engine out.. I will be ringing the scrap merchant. fingers crossed I can avoid that.

Hey, Just a quick note to show my appreciation for Zedworld and their benefit to the Zed community. I guess everyone is aware of the issues I recently had with my engine. The short of it was another car that had been butchered by Ztech. Well Jeff and co. did their best to fit me in early and perform a major heart transplant on it after building a new engine for me (this time, to the specs it should have been in the first place). If it hadn't been for them I would have most likely hung up the keys. Anyway just a big thanks for making a horrific situation bearable.. Cheers, Gerry.

Hi guys Went out to my car tonight to find all the trim around the ignition smashed and the ignition barrel looking like someone has jabbed a screwdriver into it. I'm pretty pissed off, good thing the immobilizer works. Car was locked, looked like something has pulled the drivers side door handle out. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows how I can start my car up? I can't get the key to turn in the ignition and the steering lock seems stuck on. I really want to move the car away from where it is. Any advice will be really appreciated John

Well, its had new door rubbers and targa rubbers fitted, but where the targa meets the drivers side A pillar, it doesnt look like its forming a seal correct, well i know it isn't as at the moment i have a pan collecting water inside the car. Ive checked the rear door runner that pulls the window into the rubber, the 10mm nut was missing, so i replaced that and all was good for a while, but we have had torrential down pours for the past 24 hours and its leaking badly again. anyway ive also tried the match stick under the rubber trick but still no luck. any idea's? as id rather the car didn't eat its self alive from inside to out. Took my TT out for a spin, about 5 miles down the road the clutch peddle banged and springed towards the carpet !!! Wasn't sure what happened but carried in in 3rd :( I had to navigate home avoiding junctions so it wouldn't stall, eventually got home and took me fookin ages to get the little fookin pin back in its bent holes!!!! Yes I was fuming, just got over it now ,LOL SO.....if it happens to you , hire a dwarf or midget, coz were just too big to be upside down in a footwell for 2 hours ,LOL

how drivable are they for every day driving? Any opinions based on personal experience greatly appreciated. My clutch has started slipping today & have always run a RPS street clutch. I have a new puck clutch in my garage (unknown make) that I could fit but was wondering what it was like on a day to day basis - to be honest I use the car daily but mainly short runs & it doesnt get too much abuse, an occasional blast but not much more.

Hi chaps After bringing my car home from Zedworld and since speaking to Jeff, seems like it may be a setting to do with the Alarm... My car is a series 2, and when the engine was turned off the side mirrors automatically fold in and the doors unlock. The buttons are all in the same positions before they went to Zedworld. Now, the doors still seem to lock/unlock as before, but the mirrors dont automatically fold anymore. Also, when I start the car, the turbo timer comes on as normal and sets itself at 60 seconds, but then when the engine is turned off (regardless of how long it has been running) the turbo timer just goes straight off and does not run down. …

How the f$#k do you unloosen/adjust the power steering belt so i can get it off to replace the alternator belt, am ready to take large hammer to it! Have loosened the 2 bolts on the tensioner arm and the slide adjuster bolt thingy Pictures and diagrams would be nice
