As the title suggests my AC pump has seized. and with it now been winter, not having any gas in it and probably full of leaks I'm not really too bothered. however when ever i need to use the front de-misters the belt squeal like a bitch and it nearly stalls the car :crying: . So whats the easiest way of sorting this? I'm guessing either cutting the belt, or somehow unplugging the cable to the pump. Or is there a fuse I could pull that wouldn't engage it.

Currently looking like I have a slight bottom end knock and as far as I am aware this can be solved with new con rod bearings so long as there is no other damage. Also, the engine doesn't have to come out to do so. So where can I get new ones? Disclaimer: I'm not a mechanic so correct me if I've said anything stupid.

Hi guys. Lifted the tailgate/boot lid a few days ago, after some heavy rain, been stood for a month or so. Water flooded out and directly onto the rear speakers (and not forgetting the CD stacker in the boot!). How is it getting in?? It seems to be collecting in the plastic trim at the bottom of the rear window. I have no boot spoiler, just a skin blended on and a plastic cover in the recess that the old spoiler left behind. This cover is a little loose, wondering if there's a hole behind it or something!? Cheers H

  9. Recently I had a small wreck on my Z; front license plate frame crashed so actually I have a small replacement wich is not allowed in Spain. So I went to a spanish Nissan dealer and asked them if they can order the stock original license frame...employee looked it up for me on system by the car vin number..and it shows up, but he states is no longer on production..and has been discontinued; I asked him if they could check if they have any one in UK, Japan, or any other Nissan wharehouse in Europe and to my surprise he told me Nissan Spain only has connection with two major wharehouses; Barcelona, and Holland. If it´s not there then...kiss it goodbye...( bloody ridi…

Easy guys, I have a pair of Recaros waiting to go into the Z, but just trying to work out the best of doing this the driver side is a Recaro SPG which is a fixed bucket and will require side mounts, and passenger side is a Recaro Speed Recliner. in regards to driver side SPG seat, I'd imagine it needs to be bolted straight to the floor which I kinda dont wanna do... whats the best way to get these both seats into the car?

On watching this BBC program I couldn't help noticing a certain vehicle in the background, just watch it from 1.30 in and it's 4.40 when you'll see it - it doesn't appear again. Herne Bay in Kent was the location so do we know who's it is? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01nmdh7/Claimed_and_Shamed_Episode_7/

  14. My aftermarket water gauge- not sure its reading correctly, at the moment it is spliced in to the Nissan water temp gauge wiring at the dials unit. so the after market gauge & Nissan gauge works together. With the Nissan temp sensor in place wired from that directly to the aftermarket gauge, when tested the gauge went straight up to 100. I've wired the YELLOW/GREEN wire from the ECU to the after market gauge and the zed went bonkers it did not like it. Wire removed. Any ideas anyone. HOW SHOULD YOU WIRE THE AFTER MARKET GAUGE?

  15. Started by lil Stevie,

Finally got some bought and fitted, think they were 66.1mm to 73.0 mm, cost me £20 in the end. Best £20 I've ever spent . Since I got the car its always had an awful shake but nothing seemed to cure it. I changed the inner hicas ball joints, the outer hicas ball joints, single piece prop, tyres balanced and re balanced, tracking sorted and a wheel refurb. Although the parts I changed clearly needed changing it still never solved the problem, and nobody seemed to know why. But a couple of shitty bits of plastic later and its never felt so good. So thanks to everyone who helped with this, very much appreciated  .

hi guys done some more rust proofing. I used grey dinitrol 447, and it looked ok but on a white zed thought it would look much better in black so was gonna over paint in gloss black. but instead bought more 447 in black, I think it looks much better. what do you guys think, and now it's got 2 lots of rubber paint so hopefully should be well protected now. and they say it works has a sound proof. before in grey and some in black even did along the wheel arch, when its sprayed next month paint over the bit on the arch and hopefully may help with stones chipping it. thanks for loo king everyone.
