ive had my zed a mere 4 years now, but when i got mine there were 30 odd z32s for sale on every well known classifieds you chose to look on..... pistonheads currently have 6 for sale! just six. at least one of these is a member on here. 23 on ebay one of which is murts old car and one or two im sure are repeats from p/h and only 8 on autotrader again some repeats from other sites. so id say there's probably only about 30 cars currently for sale in the country.

Does anyone have the vertical lift Lambo style doors on their car? There seem to be a few hinge kits around, I'm assuming the bolt on ones are the best bet (though a bit more expensive) Are there any pitfalls with fitting this type of door that I should be aware of? Basically while my Zed is off the road having a major facelift and full respray I'm trying to end up with a car that is * practical to use on the road as an 'occasional car' - not a daily runabout * not too low to get over the occasional speedhump and pothole * eye catching enough to turn heads. I'm intending to show the car next year, and maybe get the chance to meet some of y…

Have recently had my car recommisioned and everything was running fine. Then all of sudden after a hot start engine seemed to surge and want to stall. Giving it a run it seemed to hesitate to boost. I have found out that the electric fan is on all the time from cold, which seems to prevent temperature to get to half way. It will still go quite well once fully warmed, but seems to faulter a little at full tilt. The only thing that I did prior to this happening was toscuff/ground the front underside apron on entering a steep long driveway. I can't see anything a miss and tried to unplug fan, but couldn't seem to find delatching technique. Any ideas please??

Its in a sad condition and will not be to everybodys tast but its not often you will see a z32 fairlady kitted out in this kit from Japan. The owner says its a Veilside kit but I think he is wrong (there is even a pic of the rear with a Border sticker)and the bonnet is not part of the Border kit plus it should have vented front wings but as a not so well known kit it will one day disapear from the zed scene (I can hear some of you saying good:biggrin:)So I thought I would just flag it up as it is a JDM gem:yes: http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/300zx/300zx-twin-turbo/263711

I have just bought my dream car and in the process of getting it ready for the summer, a 1990 twin turbo Fairlady manual, looking for a complete set of hoses for under the bonnet, does anyone have any suggestions or recomendations of where to start and where I can buy these, any help would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers.

Ok, I've got a jap tt and had a faulty temp gauge. I've also got a rotten UK tt, so I took the full instrument cluster out of the UK car and swapped the clusters. The temp gauge is now fine but the speedometer is misbehaving. Presumably down to a kph to mph converter (although dont remember seeing one behind the cluster). If I remove the converter will the speedo work???

Since my car was de-catted in the summer it seemed a little smokey. Doesn't smoke on idle, or when accelerating off boost, or on decelerating, only when under full boost...keeps smoking for as loong as you hold the foot down, disappears soon as you lift off. I'm sure I can also smell oil when this happens, but not sure if I'm imagining that. When car was de-catted they said the turbos had almost no play and seemed in good order. First stop PCV valves?

As the title suggests my AC pump has seized. and with it now been winter, not having any gas in it and probably full of leaks I'm not really too bothered. however when ever i need to use the front de-misters the belt squeal like a bitch and it nearly stalls the car :crying: . So whats the easiest way of sorting this? I'm guessing either cutting the belt, or somehow unplugging the cable to the pump. Or is there a fuse I could pull that wouldn't engage it.

Currently looking like I have a slight bottom end knock and as far as I am aware this can be solved with new con rod bearings so long as there is no other damage. Also, the engine doesn't have to come out to do so. So where can I get new ones? Disclaimer: I'm not a mechanic so correct me if I've said anything stupid.

Hi guys. Lifted the tailgate/boot lid a few days ago, after some heavy rain, been stood for a month or so. Water flooded out and directly onto the rear speakers (and not forgetting the CD stacker in the boot!). How is it getting in?? It seems to be collecting in the plastic trim at the bottom of the rear window. I have no boot spoiler, just a skin blended on and a plastic cover in the recess that the old spoiler left behind. This cover is a little loose, wondering if there's a hole behind it or something!? Cheers H

Recently I had a small wreck on my Z; front license plate frame crashed so actually I have a small replacement wich is not allowed in Spain. So I went to a spanish Nissan dealer and asked them if they can order the stock original license frame...employee looked it up for me on system by the car vin number..and it shows up, but he states is no longer on production..and has been discontinued; I asked him if they could check if they have any one in UK, Japan, or any other Nissan wharehouse in Europe and to my surprise he told me Nissan Spain only has connection with two major wharehouses; Barcelona, and Holland. If it´s not there then...kiss it goodbye...( bloody ridi…

Easy guys, I have a pair of Recaros waiting to go into the Z, but just trying to work out the best of doing this the driver side is a Recaro SPG which is a fixed bucket and will require side mounts, and passenger side is a Recaro Speed Recliner. in regards to driver side SPG seat, I'd imagine it needs to be bolted straight to the floor which I kinda dont wanna do... whats the best way to get these both seats into the car?

On watching this BBC program I couldn't help noticing a certain vehicle in the background, just watch it from 1.30 in and it's 4.40 when you'll see it - it doesn't appear again. Herne Bay in Kent was the location so do we know who's it is? http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01nmdh7/Claimed_and_Shamed_Episode_7/
