Hi Guys, after suffering a ramp dismount, i have got the car back up on the ramps and the gearbox is now under the car awaiting lifting and securing. However..(here it comes) i seem to have mislaid the small tub that held the securing bolts. So does anyone have any idea of the size/length/type that i need. Regards Rich

Anyone know the dimensions of the pipes? I know the MAF diameter is 3", just wondering about the inner diameter of the turbo intake piping (elephant trunk) and the bend angle of the silicon reducers. From pics they look to be about 50mm and 45° respectively. Cheers.

Just come back from town after shelling out money to get some work done on my daily driver to find that the roof on my car port had come down in the wind and a bloody 10 foot 6x6 timber post laying on my zed!!! I'm gutted after all my hard work, lots of scuffs and scratches and the bonnet is a write off, badly dented! Not been able to have a proper look ad the weather is terrible but I have had it now really, one thing after another, watch this space for a breaking thread!!

anyone know someone who would want to replace all the brake pipes on the zed with copper? Shes just failed her MOT on corroded pipes, and they all look properly shafted, but obviously the labour cost is pretty chunky! Anyone fancy some cash in hand or know someone who can/recommend garage?? (wellingborough, northants area)

I've just removed my 18" Work alloys for refurbishment and noted that they don't have 'O' rings which, I assume, explains the vibration at various speeds. I know the 300zx's hub diameter is 66.1mm but how do I go about determing the hub bore of the alloy, it doesn't appear to be written on it anywhere. I've measured it by tape measure and naked eye. The thing is 'ebay' advertise rings which fits bores of 72.6mm and 73.1mm, how in feck's name can I accurately determine a difference of 0.5mm? I'm confident you guys will come up with the answer. Regards Ronnie

It's happened to me again, however this time it was on the way to work. Was going through some fairly deep water when she just died on me, this wouldn't be to bad but I was sat waiting for recovery watching the water rise up the footwells. Hopefully when the wrecker wagon turns up it will start and not be in to bad a state, my new black interior will be shagged I imagine. If it don't start expect a breaking thread soon.

......Good idea to remove wings and front bumper? My car is pretty mint and paranoid that I might damage it:blink: When I removed the engine from Silver Streak I was sooooooooo scared that I was going to damage something it took me twice as long. Would there be any negatives to doing this????????? or just get on with it and unbolt every thing and get it out the way:sweatdrop:

Hi guys I want to change my plenum and balance bar, I have sourced spare ones but have very little mechanical knowlege so wondered if I could get some pointers and advise, I have read up about people taking their plenums off and once replaced open a tin of worms having lots of problems with the running of the car after? How much trouble is it to do and what problems could I run into during and after? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks
