Hi could somone help with oil pleaase :) nearly finish my engine rebuild and my quastion is Valvoline vr1 10w60 will b ok or not.

It's happened to me again, however this time it was on the way to work. Was going through some fairly deep water when she just died on me, this wouldn't be to bad but I was sat waiting for recovery watching the water rise up the footwells. Hopefully when the wrecker wagon turns up it will start and not be in to bad a state, my new black interior will be shagged I imagine. If it don't start expect a breaking thread soon.

......Good idea to remove wings and front bumper? My car is pretty mint and paranoid that I might damage it:blink: When I removed the engine from Silver Streak I was sooooooooo scared that I was going to damage something it took me twice as long. Would there be any negatives to doing this????????? or just get on with it and unbolt every thing and get it out the way:sweatdrop:

Hi guys I want to change my plenum and balance bar, I have sourced spare ones but have very little mechanical knowlege so wondered if I could get some pointers and advise, I have read up about people taking their plenums off and once replaced open a tin of worms having lots of problems with the running of the car after? How much trouble is it to do and what problems could I run into during and after? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks

Is the jap import alternator belt the same size as the uk one? I can't seem to get one that fits as still slips adjusted to the max! Anyone got a part number?

What's the best way, do I take it up to running temp with cap on or off? Any other pointers? Have got heater temp to high 40 Paul

I am looking to fit some dump valves to my car, 1990 jap inport, does anyone have any suggestions as I have heard that some valves cause idling issues. Looking for valves and fitting kit. any advice would be gratefully recieved. Cheers Jason

A few of you may have read my post, I am now an owner of a 94 UK tt. It's my first powerful, and my first turbo car but mine is in need of major tlc, especially on the body. My main concern is the boot and centre panel between the rear lights. Where would be the best place to get a tail gate and the panel. I've found a few breaking but I'm not sure if going to a breakers is the best option. I'm budgeting up to £1000 to spend on the body. It needs possibly a new N/S/F wing, spoiler, tail gate, bumper resprays and a few other bits and bobs. Bit of a project to be honest but i hope the end result will be worth it. For those who have binned the EGR malarky from there engine and then down to the hard pipes (AIV) that go into the wheel arch liner well you know the hard pipes that go onto the exhaust there is 2 rubber pipes that have a coiled wire spring around them as a flexible link..Well dont cut the rubber pipe getting them off as they are almost the same shape as the 2 heater matrix pipes behind the engine and would easily take the place of a heater hose in a "get you home senerio"...so put them in the boot as a back up :yes:

Hi all got this project with sweet engine starts and runs lovely. well start her every week while doing loads of other work to her, last time a hose split so replaced all hoses and not started for 4 weeks . then on next fire up starts first time and idles smooth BUT when increasing revs she wont go above 2500rpm if persisting by pumping throttle she dies . restarts and idles fine but still wont go above 2500. checked fuel delivery and filter ok checked connections and maf but still the same . HELP please .

Man, I had the front bumper resprayed recently and within days someone had reversed into it! cracked the paint and scuffed it...Now it's happened 4 more times(I think it's one of my neighbours with a Range rover and a nanny! but have no witnesses...) and I'm the T-Cut master! I know how it happens because the front is so low but is there anything I can attach to the front bumper to keep people off? Do other Zed owners suffer like me?? Adam

Am soo ready to drag my car onto wasteland and set fire too it! Have just changed my thermostat after the cars intermittent overheating problem and now it won't fu€$#n start at all! It just soaks the plugs and floods! Have checked all connections and they seem tobe fine HELP!!

Hi all, Has anyone tried fitting this system before? Im having trouble fitting it. Both back boxes sit to close the the bottom of the bumper? Im wondering if i need special exhaust rubbers? Cheers Dan

Hi guys looking for some advise, just bought a set of 18" wheels and have no clue what size tires I need to look for, my zx had been lowered about 40mm, the rears are 9.5 and the fronts are 8.5, I don't want rubber bands but don't want huge tire walls either, can anyone give me an idea of what I should go for? Has or does anyone here know of a zed powered by an RB26 Engine in this forum? and how much of space is there in the bay after the swap? plus what is needed for such conversion?

I need to replace the rear rubber brake hoses. I would prefer an aftermarket pipe that replaces both the rubber and hard pipes for a direct connection to the caliper. I've seen the Hel pipes sold by Z Centre, but they only replace the rubber hose. Does anyone know of any suppliers of what I want.
