Well its been a long time going since i posted up about my zed so with some good news i'd thought i'd best do it. My zed's been off the road now since mid march and over the last four month i've struggled to get by and at a few stages i even nearly gave up completely. At the start of the year i had ordered my driftworks rear hicas bypass which started all my issues when i couldn't prise the ball joint off the knuckle or hub carrier as some of you call it; after trying multple methods i took it to a local engineering works who took a burner too it and slowly pushed them out with some burny hot heat. turn lights on side lights all is good, go to full beam drivers goes on but passengers dosent, flash full beam both come on. have checked bulbs as in changing drivers for passengers and still the same, both bulbs are working. have run a live feed from the drivers to the passengers and they both work. Is this relay related, anyway of checking if the relay is doing what it should, i take it its the relays in the large fuse box one black and one blue i think??

As the title says - can anyone tell me which wire or connection (near the fusebox) will be live when ignition is on, so I can tap my DRL power feed into it. Something easy to get to would be ideal. Cheers Rich

I mentioned in a recent thread that my wheels were with a company to be refurbished. Per title, the wheels are made by 'Work' who I understand are a Japanese manufacturer. They are 18" aluminium split rims, the centre caps carry the initials, 'VS' I went to collect them the other day and was very pleased with the job the guys had done, centres powder coated in anthracite with 'chrome' powder coated rims. I got talking with the owner who appeared very knowledgeable and he stated that this model was initially sold by the company as a three piece split rim but subsequently sold, after factory welding, as a two piece. ive currently got r32 brakes on me zed but i'm wanting something abit more up to date, very tempted by a full brake setup from a front end damaged 370z for 700 notes, whats your forts is it the right thing 2do???

Sadly my exhaust had seen better days from my car not being used, started getting a few rust spots. The middle pipes had rusted at the joins but I had a spare stock one. I didn't want to change the back boxes as I've always loved the note - just loud enough to not be heard in the car :) So decided to strip them, rust treat them and then the boys at Custom Exotics welded up and patched the bad bits and then gave them a protective coat of a high temperature paint they use. Also a massive thanks to them for all the P** taking for the days I spent polishing the exhaust tips!!! lol From this:

finally got my interior how i want it now after months of belly aching and trying to find the right look i wanted..... probably not to anyone else's taste but i love it!!!! so far i have all the gauges short shifter illumiglo dials blue led dash kit now fitted turbo timer all connected up hicas boss and snap off wheel (hicas boss just to keep C/C)

After it is fully degreased, any traces of surface rust, scratches etc. removed, there will be parts with bare metal, what is the best primer to use on a combination of paint and bare metal? I'm also restoring a lambretta, so this will help with that too if anyone can recommend anything? Cheers, Tudor.

Try ed to sell my z on eBay with know luck . Don't seem to be any money out there well i have it insured to end of Jan so have a bit more time enjoying driving it . then it will have to be parked of road somewhere. As not paying high insurance again

Another year, another GOR done and dusted. Had an awesome day and thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. Hi folks; need some help here and I am totally lost hoping someone can help me, I am going to paint the front bumper of the Z; matching the green pearl effect colour is no problem, but...here comes the tough one, when it comes to that part of the bumper that sourrounds the lisence plate area and the side lights, body shop can´t seem to find what colour is that exactly; I´m talking about the grey side that sourrunds of the front bumper this one... My Z is scaring me a bit lately. When i turn the wheel at 30 degrees while driving the car does not seem to turn enough so when i turn the wheel more the car steering hits a byte point and turns but with a NASTY JURKING byte) :blink: Feels like aquaplaning but I cant see why as my tires are only a year old and a good brand any ideas?
