Yay, as above, passed this morning, 2 advisories, which i was quite shocked about after going over the car to make sure there would be nothing to pick up on lol. Both front tyres, although have loads of tread and still look newish where badly worn on the very inner band of the tyre. This as far as i can see is because i fitted some hubcentric spacers in the summer and should have had the wheel alignment re done to compensate :pinch: So after crimbo two front tyres and a Hawk eye wheel alignment is on the cards:thumbup1: I noticed when i had two new rear tyres fitted this morning that the rear pads were really low, ive ordered new ones, but hoped that it wo…

When my new alloys were fitted the guys at the tyre shop were complaining bitterly that the thread on three of the bolts (studs?) on the offside front wheel are knackered. With some use of WD40 and winding a wheel nut on and off the studs repeatedly they managed to get four of them fitted OK but the other one is knackered So I only have four nuts on that wheel - they left the locking one off. Now then - do I need to get some replacement studs and then get the hub off and stripped down to fix this or is it easier just to get a second hand hub with five good studs Cheers for the advice as many of you have probably spotted by now I'm no mechanic (unless i…

Not a particularly exciting update but I've had my wheels refurbed. Always get amazed at what a difference a wheel refurb does to a car!

Well after around trip of 450 miles yesterday and some of the wettest weather I have ever driven in I am the the new owner of a SWB Slicktop N/A, got lots of plans for it. It will be getting some of the parts from my silver car and then I will be breaking it. I don't have any pictures of my own at the moment but I'm sure Mark alias (Mackam_Maz)won't mind me using some of his, thanks Mark and good luck in your new adventure. Cheers Paul

Hi all, I've spotted a 300ZX that I'm hoping to go and have a look at tomorrow so have been doing research before I do. Very excited about the possibility of owning a 300ZX :D One thing I noticed about the car that doesn't add up as I am doing my research is the stock boost gauge is marked -7 to +7. I found other TT examples of this on European and Australian forums but can't find anything to explain why... Would appreciate anyone being able to help me with this :) The car is a 1991 (Z32) and comes back from the MID as 'NISSAN 300 1990-1994 Petrol 3.0L Manual 2 doors ZX TURBO' Thanks, Jynx

So, car is off the road for the winter. When it comes out the garage in the spring it will need the timing belt changed and I'm also getting the turbos done, possibly upgraded to a higher spec. Looking like costing me around 2k from the garages up here. Is that a reasonable sort of price?

i have a '95 NA LWB manual and it needs a complete exhaust system really, can you get the uprated exhaust manifolds anywhere in the uk? and i have a set of decats left over from my TT, which we are going to modify to take sports cats, as technically it should have cats. but i want pics/ videos of what everyone has in the way of cat backs,??? my TT has a very loud system on it, so don't want anything too loud as its a daily drive. so what can people recommend? got to still be available to buy somewhere lol.

Hi guys, Right then my latest problem after the flood is that my turbo timer has died! No biggie some might say but the engine won't turn off straight away, it runs for about 30 seconds and switches off, like if the timer was working. The thing is the timer reads 0 on the display and no matter how many times you push the buttons the time don't change. Where abouts do these things wire in as my loom dissapeared under the dash and I don't know where it goes haha. Cheers, Rob

SInce I got my car back from the body shop - cracking respray and I'm very pleased with the work undertaken - but now the targa is leaking badly on the drivers side and not so badly on the passenger side The car was pretty much dismantled for respray, and they had the targas apart as they gave me just the glass panels to be tinted The rubbers all look like they are there and when I fasten down the targa the two little 'notches' in front edge of the rubbers seem to locate together - but it still leaks The water is dripping down from the the bottom of the three pod guages i have on the driver side windscreen/door pillar - if you see what I mean - so water see…

OK It's done and I like it  Thanks to the various advice on here I made a few changes to the body kit In the end I left the bonnet bulge off - but have it sprayed white should I change my mind Personally I don't mind it being on, but like the car without it too The front bumper is the Viper V1. I had to get the centre part of the bumper modified so it sits level with the headlight panel The rear bumper is a Shark V1 but very much modified so it's hardly recognisable asa shark. However IMHO it looks great on the car and the tail pipes sit very nicely against the bumper now The side skirts are Demon - but with the vents modified to f…

obviously most would agree that mechanically the z32s greatest fault is space, that engine is in their snug! which causes and creates a whole hoast of other issues. however thats not what im thinking about, been thinking about bobs car today and how well it goes round corners. thinking back i seem to remember pete saying that nothing drastic had been done to the chassis. so what is it about the stock setup of the z32s suspension that makes it less good through the turns than many other sports cars of a simular weight class, im led to believe the z33 and z34 go round corners far better? obviously other cars of a simular age im thinking yank tanks have issue slike crappy le…

A nice zed arrived this evening at the workshop via the AA, the sticker on the windscreen illustrates the perils of driving in bad weather, left it unchecked as time was getting on, so will see what tomorrow brings...have a bad feeling though....shame. Jeff TT

I was sitting on a side road just off a round about on the A600 just before bedford, i saw one silver (i think) zed with a wide arch kit (looked like the abflug) with the same rear wing as baz had that went past, heading away from bedford, and a black zed about 30 mins later, going towards bedford, i flashed the dude in the black, but not sure he could make out what was flashing him. Between 5 and 6 pm tonight.
