Some of you may have picked up recently on my turbo failure, sadly I'm an eager beaver. So I went about wanting to know why the turbo seals, in particular, fail. essentially there are two seals, for the purposes of discussion we will call them front and rear. To define what I mean by this the front is the one pointing towards the front of the engine (cambelt end) the rear is obviously the opposite end which is the exhaust compressor end. The seals themselves sit in a recess on the turbo shaft and look very much like a piston ring. The rear one is the commonest one to fail, it seems for our turbos. The reason for this is over pressure from the oil side, causing it…

  3. Been after some of these for a while now and got some when I tagged along to Yewcheck's Z1 Xmas order from the USA a few weeks ago. You can get two versions, these are the most powerful the UHP and are specific to my SWB, they work an absolute treat. Only take 10 mins tops to fit and can easily be done on your own, one strut holds it up no problem. I have still got the weight in the tailgate, spoiler and wiper all fitted and it flies up, bit of an effort to close but feels very sturdy . [video=youtube_share;Se-kFo83OWg]

It dosnt seem to be easy to get a set of R33(gtr) calipers anywere so im now looking at a set of Mitsubishi Evo front brembo calipers @ 320mm discs. I am going to need a fitment kit/ coversion or braket made up from an enineering company. My question is how do i go about this? Is there a patern i can take to the engineering place or is it a kit i buy of someone? Cheers guys.

my speedo has always been a bit intermittent, but now its duff. it will work occasionally if ive been stationary up to about 20mph, then it just drops off. then i get hicas warning and no powered steering. now ive read the articles about dry joint and all the rest but if i pull it all apart what exactly am i looking for with a "dry" joint? and do i just remelt it and add some more solder? i also read jeffs thread on the speed sensor popping out its cartridge, and causing the issue. but how do i check the actual functionality of the speed sensor?

Which they came out ok, but they didn't dry hard so thought we'll it must be to cold so put them in my house oven in the kitchen. Which has worked and there hard now. But been reading on the net and everyone saying this stuff is lethal, I allways where a mask and normally use cellulose. 14. Hi I had a new nose put on my 1990 300zx NA after an accident and the guys who did the job presented me with two panels that they took off and which wouldn't fit back in with the new aftermarket nose. The panels are marked RH and LH and they have a sort of scoop and vent to both sides of the panel. The are thin black plastic, maybe a foot by a foot and a half. Can anyone please tell me where they go or point me to a picture. I would like to put a stock nose back on some time and I would like to put the panels back where they are supposed to go. Thanks, Mooch

Right im going to get some HID's, when i got my zed, i have replaced all the internal cogs with tamiya gears, polished the projectors, and chromed the inserts. but i cant but the problem is i cant remember if i have uk or jap spec lights, basically at the time i removed the original UK lights, the jap ones were off the other car, now hopefully i refitted the uk, but this is me we are talking about, and if the evil stella artois was involved i could have a uk and a jap on my car now. Question is Which HID kit is best for value and which one. it will be 6000k, but is their a difference between Uk and Jap.......ie is UK H3 or H3C or is jap , i know main beam is H1 but …

  17. Starting to track things that are not fixed on my Z32 TT, and I have a first question after my presentation in the newbies section: The Emerald ECU has been mapped and gives 501 Bhp according to the test report: Fine. The Racelogic traction control has been disconnected for this mapping, and I wonder if this was just for performance measurements without the interference of the racelogic, or if there is some non compatible reason for this disconnection? I suppose that the racelogic system on a Z32 is connected on the ABS sensors to detect rotation speed differences from each wheel? To have a power adjustment, the racelogic system is also connected to the injecto…

Hello festive chaps...Ive fitted 3 Stack gauges to my pillar pod and they have built-in LED white lights but they are far too bright:thumbdown: I cant wire them into the dimmer system as then the speedo lights become so dim i cant see them so my question is can i put some kind of a resistor in-line to reduce the brightness of the gauges??? and what value will that resistor be???.

On searching the ebay pages I came across this, I bought one of these well over a year ago and I recommend as it was fitted to mine in the summer by Lee Dent. In the past there as been issues/threads/posts with regard to these being too long but not this one :thumbup1:. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-200SX-240SX-300ZX-350Z-370Z-ALTIMA-MAGNETIC-OIL-DRAIN-PLUG-12mm-1-25-/190775008467?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c6b139cd3
