I am in the process of putting my car back together and when its back on the road I will be turning the boost up to 14psi. I had been told by a reliable source that the car was chipped but couldn't remember what chip they said it was so I thought I would pop the ECU open and have a look. In doing so I was confronted with very stubborn screws which rounded and I had to chisel to get out. Only to find that inside the ECU is a standard Nissan chip - the ECU is not socketed. What would be the best plan of action from here? Is there anybody that can supply a replacement socketed ECU with chip for 14psi and breathing mods? Is my ECU likely to be completely knackered now I'…

I have the manual and two supplements but not the third one, didn't even know it existed . How many of us as it, my guess it's not many at all and did you even know about it ? This complete set is not overpriced, and the German seller is even open to offers :thumbup1:. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350667855429?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I thought I'd share this with you to gauge your thoughts..... I have just switched insurance companies from Lynbrooks to Lancaster - who provided me with the same Equity Red Star policy for over £30 less, including an agreed valuation. So after sending them a few pictures of the car, Lancasters came up with an agreed value of £4,250. What do you think? It's a tidy 1994 L-reg UK spec auto; no rust, 86k miles (with old MOTs etc), mild upgrades like wheels, Meister Rs, air filter, exhaust and the Stillen front lip. Richard:clover:

not another Zed in sight! Took the R888's off and put the Michelin's on given the weather/temperature. Still pretty slippy but also impressed with how much power I could put down when the roads were up to it. Drove from Brighton to Bath via the south downs for the scenic route via Salisbury, some nice roads along there :) Popped over to Jimmer's in the evening to check out his new unit (v.nice) then back along the M4/M25 late at night. Just putting this up to show these cars can be used in this weather, even track focussed ones!

Bloody number plates, commissioned mark Darby to get me a sticker number plate made up by his sign guy, its now on the front of my motor, so no longer have the stealth look :( Why we need a front mounting number plate is beyond me, but there ya go (i do know some reasons, but they make the cars look horrible) Oh and a big thank you to mark for sorting it out, full size, reflective but as a sticker.

Never seen this one before, but some interesting time comparisons....not far off F2 pace (albeit not a VG in sight).... and faster than Craig Lowndes in his V8 Supercar!! Australian Touring Car Championship Oran Park Raceway has hosted a round of the Australian Touring Car Championship every year since 1971. 2008 was the final year of Oran Park in the V8 Supercar Championship Series. Allan Moffat and Mark Skaife are the most successful drivers at Oran Park in the ATCC, with six round wins each. The first ever race in 1971 saw Moffat in his Ford Boss 302 Mustang and Bob Jane driving his 427 cui powered Chevrolet…

Just wondered if anyone had a rough idea on what my car was worth in it's present condition... It's a 1992 UK 300ZX Twin Turbo in Red with 146K on the clock, modified with a +70BHP EEPROM/boost increase/air filter, nice alloys, aftermarket rear lights. MOT is 13th April next year. It's had some rust issues in the past but seems they've all been addressed (extensive service history, lots at Zed World) although there's the odd rust bubble here and there. The paint is faded, quite badly in places, but I know it can easily be touched up/restored with t-cut and elbow grease - already started doing one or two patches; time and the weather is my enemy. The car has…

okay one for the sparkies out there, the contact has come away from the rear window demist element , i was told to buy some conductive glue , which i did , to stick the thing back in position, trouble is, it is like water , and in a word not sticky ,i followed the instructions , made sure everything was clean etc etc however even after being held in position overnight it just did not seem to do anything and the contact just fell off again , does anyone know of a sure fire way to re attach the wire contact, im hoping that there is a conductive type double sided sticky pad or similar, i cant be the only one to have experienced this issue, ta sayers

Hi guys, Just changed the oil, although it looked more like mayo ! I've noticed a loud whine whine seems to be coming from the bottom of the engine, it quietened down a bit once the new oil had circulated the engine but i don't want to run it too much incase its something serious. I've uploaded this video however it stands out more on my phone than than it does on my Mac, hopefully you can hear it? [video=youtube_share;eiRttYI-Ii4]http://youtu.be/eiRttYI-Ii4 Cheers guys.
