Jeff Thanks for reply do you happen to know of anyone with the diagnostics and knowledge to help out with my car im in Fareham Hampshire, the only other thing i have noticed is when trying to start it the cat over temp warning light comes on but does not stay lit never seen it before so not sure if it is of any relevance to problem, i need someone to check car over to point me in the right direction before paying out for parts or recovery to a garage. As i said in last post checked fuses charged battery it did very briefly fire up for about 10 seconds then died again. Simon

It dosnt seem to be easy to get a set of R33(gtr) calipers anywere so im now looking at a set of Mitsubishi Evo front brembo calipers @ 320mm discs. I am going to need a fitment kit/ coversion or braket made up from an enineering company. My question is how do i go about this? Is there a patern i can take to the engineering place or is it a kit i buy of someone? Cheers guys.

my speedo has always been a bit intermittent, but now its duff. it will work occasionally if ive been stationary up to about 20mph, then it just drops off. then i get hicas warning and no powered steering. now ive read the articles about dry joint and all the rest but if i pull it all apart what exactly am i looking for with a "dry" joint? and do i just remelt it and add some more solder? i also read jeffs thread on the speed sensor popping out its cartridge, and causing the issue. but how do i check the actual functionality of the speed sensor?

Hi guys wanted a bit of advice. Bought some 2k paint and painted my brake calipers in my garage. Which they came out ok, but they didn't dry hard so thought we'll it must be to cold so put them in my house oven in the kitchen. Which has worked and there hard now. But been reading on the net and everyone saying this stuff is lethal, I allways where a mask and normally use cellulose. Really worried now will the oven be ok to use again for food I've cleaned it right out. Was reading and it says u can't grow food or anything in my garden etc.. Is this true... My mask is a twin cartridge one not a throw away one, will that be ok or am I gonna be i…

  10. Hi I had a new nose put on my 1990 300zx NA after an accident and the guys who did the job presented me with two panels that they took off and which wouldn't fit back in with the new aftermarket nose. The panels are marked RH and LH and they have a sort of scoop and vent to both sides of the panel. The are thin black plastic, maybe a foot by a foot and a half. Can anyone please tell me where they go or point me to a picture. I would like to put a stock nose back on some time and I would like to put the panels back where they are supposed to go. Thanks, Mooch

Right im going to get some HID's, when i got my zed, i have replaced all the internal cogs with tamiya gears, polished the projectors, and chromed the inserts. but i cant but the problem is i cant remember if i have uk or jap spec lights, basically at the time i removed the original UK lights, the jap ones were off the other car, now hopefully i refitted the uk, but this is me we are talking about, and if the evil stella artois was involved i could have a uk and a jap on my car now. Question is Which HID kit is best for value and which one. it will be 6000k, but is their a difference between Uk and Jap.......ie is UK H3 or H3C or is jap , i know main beam is H1 but …

  13. Starting to track things that are not fixed on my Z32 TT, and I have a first question after my presentation in the newbies section: The Emerald ECU has been mapped and gives 501 Bhp according to the test report: Fine. The Racelogic traction control has been disconnected for this mapping, and I wonder if this was just for performance measurements without the interference of the racelogic, or if there is some non compatible reason for this disconnection? I suppose that the racelogic system on a Z32 is connected on the ABS sensors to detect rotation speed differences from each wheel? To have a power adjustment, the racelogic system is also connected to the injecto…

Hello festive chaps...Ive fitted 3 Stack gauges to my pillar pod and they have built-in LED white lights but they are far too bright:thumbdown: I cant wire them into the dimmer system as then the speedo lights become so dim i cant see them so my question is can i put some kind of a resistor in-line to reduce the brightness of the gauges??? and what value will that resistor be???.

On searching the ebay pages I came across this, I bought one of these well over a year ago and I recommend as it was fitted to mine in the summer by Lee Dent. In the past there as been issues/threads/posts with regard to these being too long but not this one :thumbup1:. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-200SX-240SX-300ZX-350Z-370Z-ALTIMA-MAGNETIC-OIL-DRAIN-PLUG-12mm-1-25-/190775008467?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c6b139cd3

Saw you today about 1415, was at the roundabout at the end of the westlands runway heading towards the A303, I was in the Volvo XC60 in front of you. Seems to be a few round here now!

  22. I made some of these up a few months ago and used CCFL ring halos, a little twist on them now as these are SMD ring lights - hope you like. These will be on an auction site on the 27th Dec for 10 days so if you want have a bid, also another addition to my youtube channel. I like them and will fit a set in my own in Jan, the video does not show it as good as real life but the SMD lights are very sharp and bright, you can also see these clearly when the dipped HID's are turned on :cool3:. spent ages trying to get round my handbrake problems with my Na, and in doing so have modified my S13's old hydraulic handbrake to fit in the existing place with the OE ratchet, so its road legal. but then realised, unlike my TT which i did the modifying on as its in bits so made it easier, that the ABS module isn't in the boot...??? does this mean i have a non abs zed??? or are they somewhere else on the NA (both are LWB) if i do have a non abs, do i have 2 separate brake lines going to the rear? so how would i plumb my nice new handbrake in? on the TT it was going to sit in-line after the abs module before it splits off left & right. can i…
