hi peeps, had a hose split on the zed the other day, quite near the end. managed to get the hose off, cut it, and jubilee it back no as a temp measure, but want to replace them now they're getting dodgy. the pipe was drivers side, up near the bulkhead, anyone got a decent photo of the heater matrix hosing up there so I can be sure i'm ordering the right part?

Dear All, Been a while since I been on here, but the advice I've received in the past has been great. I've finally had the 120k timing belt kit done on Redrum (1995 300zx NA) plus new spark plugs, oil filter, oil change, coolent etc etc PLUS a Stillen cold air intake! WOW! The speed and acceleration is noticeably improved. Now time for another question, I know from previous experience that you cannot adjust the front camber on the 300zx. I know from previous alignment sessions that my front right camber is off by a tiny %, meaning I have a slight pull to the left. I've been told by people on this forum that it could potentially be fixed by putting in a 'Shim' to…

Hi everyone, its been a while since coming on here with a post i have mainly just popped in now and again to have a read due to my zed being problem free for so long. Well that situation changed slightly yesterday... I was at work the other night and a mate of mine came in and told me my car had a leak i didnt believe him as he is the type to mess around with your head like that. When i finished work i did check as im paranoid about stuff like yhat but i couldnt see a leak. I drove home all was fine. The next night i got too work again all fine i deciddd to give it s couple of revs in the car park and check the leak situation again. well.... The passenge…

After Druling over Baz`s autumy pics a few days ago, I thought it would be rude not to do the same myself, so off I went to my favourite pic spot and snapped away, got home and downloaded them, and though "is that it"??`Anyway after re-checking my camera, loads more were stored on my memory card and not the camera :D Happy DayZ, so here we go :)

Im reading different things on how to prep old paintwork for new paint. So far i've thoroughly degreased everything. Sanded off any bits of surface rust then rubbed with thinners and sprayed those spots with primer. Now how do I prep the old paint so the new paint sticks properly? I've read about keying the surface with wet and dry but isn't that just going to make it dusty? With the way thinners removes paint it seems pointless to sand it then rub with thinners or is that the way it's supposed to be done?

Anyone know where I can get a light to fit this hole?????

  10. Hi All Been a while since I've been on here...perhaps a testament to how well the Zed has been running! lol I have a rough running issue which I believe to be related to cylinder 6. I've checked CAS, PTU, injectors are ticking, checked all connections around the engine bay etc. I'm thinking it may be something to do with the coil pack or the spark plug.... ...however, I don't have the tools or know how to go much further. I've just moved house too so don't know anyone local that might be able to assist. So does anyone on here know of anyone in the locale or Croydon / South London that might be able to? Thanks in anticipation! Vig

Just bought it but it seams a bit to good to race (well way to good) 71k and 3 owners, bit untidy bodywork wise but not bad, needs a windscreen and exhaust manifold bolt replacing for the mot

Todays action at Santa Pod dint get going till around 11.00am due to misty/foggy conditions and a very wet track. When we got going i was lined up against and old school dodge (Dart??) with a big V8 installed. Car was a mid 12s contender so as you would imagine I was some distance behind him soon after launch!! However at around the 1000ft mark his whole firbre glass front end flew up and over the car skywards before heading to the centre of the track. I reckon he was doing nearly a ton when it happened. i rapidly dived to my left and lifted off the gas before passing the front end now lying slap bang between the two lanes. No damage to the car or driver a…

Well, finally got chance to get outside, wash the Z, change the plugs and take it out for a quick blast!! All plugs looking in great condition, which was a pleasant surprise as everything else I decide to check is normally broken or faulty. Also took a couple of pics to show you all and so I can use one for my name pic thing, if I can figure out how to do it. Only took a few pics as its starting to rain and get dark. Also, no pics of interior as, other than the front seats, its all out!! I'm trying to recover in white leather bit by bit. However, I'm currently renovating the new house my family have moved too, so short on time and lack of shed doesn't help!! Anyway, (if t…

  22. the engine in my car is fairly unknown, while its out the little and alrge jobs are being done. took the belt cover off tonight, to find cams that looked a little funny. theres 3 other engines sat in the lock up and the cam pulleys didn't match them. with mine the inlet cams are solid, well too look at theres a second cover on the cam pulley face, bolted up from behind. confused. any explaination?

Why the hell did Mr Nissan go home early one friday night in the design process and not design the crank timing belt pully with 2 blind 6mm threaded holes to enable us to put a simple extractor puller on and just simply pull it off:sad:...no room for a slide extractor,3 legged puller or pry bar without damaging the oil pump at all. After over 20 years stuck on my crank i had to cut mine off. btw..we have 2 gravity return pipes from turbo,s to sump...remind me whats the small 3rd one for out the side of sump:confused1:
