Well, finally got chance to get outside, wash the Z, change the plugs and take it out for a quick blast!! All plugs looking in great condition, which was a pleasant surprise as everything else I decide to check is normally broken or faulty. Also took a couple of pics to show you all and so I can use one for my name pic thing, if I can figure out how to do it. Only took a few pics as its starting to rain and get dark. Also, no pics of interior as, other than the front seats, its all out!! I'm trying to recover in white leather bit by bit. However, I'm currently renovating the new house my family have moved too, so short on time and lack of shed doesn't help!! Anyway, (if t…

Why the hell did Mr Nissan go home early one friday night in the design process and not design the crank timing belt pully with 2 blind 6mm threaded holes to enable us to put a simple extractor puller on and just simply pull it off:sad:...no room for a slide extractor,3 legged puller or pry bar without damaging the oil pump at all. After over 20 years stuck on my crank i had to cut mine off. btw..we have 2 gravity return pipes from turbo,s to sump...remind me whats the small 3rd one for out the side of sump:confused1:

HI , I have a Pioneer carrazzeria meh9000 which is a mini disc/cd changer/radio fm/am, I have seen frequency extenders that up it from the lower range japanese to the higher european frequencies, has anyone tried these and do they work cos at the moment I only have 4 stations, it is a bit retro I know around 10 years old but it's a nice radio and younger than my zed and £500 when new I have mini discs as well to use in it, I already have a parrot handsfree so I don't need a new type with bluetooth, OH what to do?????

Ok so I'm looking to order my big end and main bottom end bearings but abit confused.com as which to order, Now on Z1 they say you need to specify which grade you need, and this will be stamped on each rod and the on the crankshaft, But what happens as I want to order some ACL race bearings and they don't ask which grade you need just wether you want normal size or over sized bearings? Also Z1 says the 2 middle main bearings have same part number but need to be placed in the correct place is it easily noticeable which one needs to go where or do they both look the same? Paul

Before we even pulled the engine yesterday due to the oil / water mix in the radiator, the smoke from the exhaust and the general fit of engine we knew there was troubl e ahead, but add to the mix that this was once rebuilt by Ztech ( now a defunct outfit ) and was one of their famed "Forged variety" the reveal was well no surprise, Standard pistons, rings rods, bearings, and nice standard head gaskets, trouble is the car had been set up on the understanding it was strong biggger injectors, bigger turbo`s and boosted etc. but the build was poor, the amount of excess silicon sealant was a joke, the mixed up bolts and missing brackets etc. was plain lazy, but to ch…

I just got my zed back from the garage after they have supossedly fixed it. i get half way home, turn the lights on only to find that the high beams won't turn off, none of the side lights and none of the rear lights work except the brakes. i tried going back to the garage to find out what they have done only to have them tell me they haven't done anything that would affect the lights except maybe when they pulled out the rear fog switch and accidently pulled the wires off. so i tried to drive home again before it was too dark, got about a mile from home and steam started pouring out from under the bonnet :censored: managed to pull over, had a look and it looks li…

Thank you AndyP for sending me 3 x chips for me to try :cool3: On trying them all today I am now struggling with the chip that was known working at the start of the day :mad2: Is this wire not helping? It was frayed badly and any exposed wire as now fallen off, does it need ring spading up and connecting properly under the casing cover screw bolt?

Hello all! So I have dropped my Zed off for the annual service / MOT and am ordering new tires all round. Since i have just insured my lovely partner on the machine (for those nights when I need to be ferried home drunk) I want to fit good performance tyres on so she doesn't kill us both. In particular, rain performance would be high on my list as the councils around where she lives seem to enjoy leaving lots of standing water around. If I could do that without banrupting myself it would be spiffing. So - any suggestions lads?
