    I'm thinking about replacing or refreshing all the suspension bits and bobs. So bushings, ball joints etc. Painting all the arms and legs etc. wheres best to get the full lot of bushings and ball joints and that?

    Just changed cambelt, 1st cyl Tdc, all cam markers in right place and also crank marker, belt was put on with white lines all matching. Question is when I rotate engine white marks on belt never come back as started!! Do they ever re line up? Every time I rotate, all camshaft and sprocket marks are ok. Has anybody any idea on this!

    Hey all. I am after an Auto Techy to check out a 2005 350z. Immobiliser issues and can’t get it started. Needs electronic gadgetry to find the cure. Any recommendations would be appreciated. located in the Basingstoke area (hampshire). thank you.

    Wasn't too happy with the side and front lights be If a little different. Just felt a little messy. The indicator (outer lights) are a mixture of light home made. I have Z1 BA Massive intercoolers so lights just don't fit. So I used some crystal clear ones, chopped the backs and inverted it (messy but worked). I also then used the glass from some of the lined indicators to match the fogs. I initially painted the inside chrome but then they didn't match the fogs and headlights. So now painted them a better colour. Originally the fogs are chrome inside but as you can see, mine were dull and rough at best. So, I completely disassembled them, cl…

  7. Bye bye old Kenwood and OEM Hitachi speakers with disappearing surrounds (and disappeared foam baffle). Thanks to Andrew for previous posts on this subject (I'll add later if my bookmarks worked) and the adapter rings. So that's: replace shot speakers with new JVC, new foam baffle, get rid of speaker loom bodge at head unit end and speaker connection end (re-instate OEM) get rid of head unit wiring bodge by repairing cut/connect and using proper ISO adapter add dabonwheels Kinetic DAB / FM aerial adapter Install new JVC DAB/CD/USB mount ECUTalk in cubby mount USB socket somewhere install underseat subwoofer …

I am having to sell my z which I have owned since 2007 & previously owned by my ex for a year or 2 before I bought it from him. However a less well known (at least to me) car exists also built by JUN Auto. So I have this stupid aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system on my Z, had it when I bought it I attempted to start car after sitting for a bit and primed the ignition with the button on the fob as usual, lights came on dash as normal and car failed to start due to low battery, so I removed battery and charged up in house put battery back on and went to start car, turned key and pressed button on fob to "prime" ignition, usually you wait about 5 seconds and all the dash lights up and start car, however now nothing happens so I presume something has triggered the alarm to immobilise the ignition this has never happened before in my history of ownership (since 2…

    For some months, the drophead kept the rain out. Then it started to leak and this ended up worse than my old MG Midget. After some research, I found Sonax GummiPflege (Rubber Care), cleaned and treated all the rubber seals. Great improvement. And the wind noise reduced (something reported by other convertible owners). The RH side is back to dry - however there is still a slight leak when windy/wet on the LH side which appears to be coming from one of the meeting points (arrowed). I have re-treated the rubber in that area and await the next downpour. When driving, there is still more wind noise from the left than the right (which sounds as normal as any Z). It's alway…

    Following one of my wheels getting popped, I decided to change all 4 tyres as the car seemed to go sideway/wheelspid car too easily which gave me a little lack if confidence. Did have Yokohama tyres but they were on the old side. Anyway, changed the tyres, and it still spins up too easy. Just after people thoughts, do you think i should look to change the suspension and possibly drop it down a little? At the minute the car has some yellow Koni struts. I do have some coilovers somewhere I could put on.

    Hi All, picking up a 300zx after approx 15years without one. So firstly, I can’t wait to get back behind The wheel again. it’s a clean car structurally and the engine sounds in good condition. Although after a 2nd test drive (first drive I found the MAF hose was loose and a Vac pipe was off the drivers side intake pipe) it ran, idled and revved, however, it sometime stuttered at 2.5k rpm and almost felt like a ‘limp’ mode situation? I plan to drive it the 50miles or so home, but should be fine on the motorway as after 2.5k it’s alright. Any advice on the matter would be appreciated? car is a 92 LWB na auto ? thank you Aron.

    My zed has been parked up a while. The central locking is working, at least I hear it, but the drivers door won't unlock. I've tried to unlock manually from the inside but that isn't releasing the door lock either. Anyone with an idea how I'm going to sort this? Already sprayed in wd40 to no avail.

  25. Hi All My TT manual zed doesnt have a rear boot spoiler. I know someone could have removed it, but also wonder if it could have been a delete option at the factory? The spoiler is the model that does not have the brake light in it - the brake light is in the top of the boot lid. I would have thought that the turbo models would have had a boot spoiler for the aerodynamics? Does anyone know if this is the case. Also I will need to source a rear boot spoiler if anyone has one for sale. Many thanks.
