Does anyone know if it's possible to test my profec b solenoid, as I'm sure its causing a boost issue I've got? The boost controller has worked perfectly since I fitted it 18 months ago, until recently. The car initially started boosting a lot higher than normal, so i adjusted the settings, which had no effect. I turned the controller off and still had the same problem. I've bypassed the solenoid now and the car is fine again, but obviously only running standard boost. The display appears to be operating okay, so is there a way of confirming it's the solenoid?

Is it humanly possible to remove the oil filter tree in a twin turbo model without pulling the block or turbo. Yes I know it will be tight and my knuckles might bleed, but im up for a laugh if its possible. just don't want to waste time on getting frustrated over something that isn't actually possible.

Having put my radio console back in today and in 3.5 years of ownership I could never just get right this center long screw cover strip, the previous owner/s have attached velcro and another one I have here as some blue tack on it of all things . Now all it needs is the clips which you see in the first pic bending, so this is wrong and sprained - what you don't want, this'll lead to the cover not fitting flush enough to the console. You cannot bend them back in situ so just tease up the claws that hold them on and slide the clips off, put a pair of pliers on the claw end and just bend with your fingers until they are back straight or even a…

Now that i have my heater bypassed, will my AC still work? Want to put it through its MOT before i replace the turbos so that i know about anything else that is wrong with it. With the smoke issues that it has because of the turbos it won't pass but turning on the AC raises the idle enough to deal with it most of the time. Just don't want to fill the garage up with fumes.

Got these a few months ago & finally got round to working on them. As you can see on the before and after pics they've polished up pretty nice. Took a while to split them though as some of the bolts were seized. Used a whole can of wd40 to soak them in but had to grind about 10 of them off. Gona polish the lips up a bit more and spray the middle black. Think they will look good in the end.

Hi, sorry for repost but this is driving me nuts. Theres a HKS evc 1 boost controller installed in my zed, although ive never used it yet it was powering up fine, but since having a flat battery, and since recharging it the unit wont power on anymore, does anyone know if theres a in-line fuse for this? or does it run directly from the ignition? ive traced the wire loom from the rear of the unit and all seems in order and im unable to find a fuse....... help!

Hi Guys, i just had a rude awakening this morning after my car horn going off continuously for an hour. Neighbor knocked on the door and i ignored it after looking at the time, i thought who the F*** is knocking this time of the morning on a Sunday ( 8am). It wasnt until i heard this constant noise like someone has a hoover on outside cleaning their car, that i got up to investigate. Why couldnt i hear it? Last night i couldnt park outside my own house as some tit a few doors up decided to park his van there and i had to park down the road. ( cant wait till my drive is done lol) Anyway i had this happen once before, where the horn started on its own constantly :h…

So, having successfully removed both 02 sensors, I am now contemplating gutting the pre cats in situ while the sensors are out. I understand there is a noticeable power gain to be achieved. I have read about using the threaded hole to soak the ceramic material with oil so as to prevent the dust from damaging the turbo seals. Also, I was thinking of maybe rigging up an airline so as to run a constant flow of air from upstream, via the 02 threaded bore, this way I could make sure that the dust flowed away from the seals. What's everyones thoughts? Are there any additional precautions or tips that I may need to consider? Thanks in advance.

Can I replace one of my smoking turbos on my Manual with one from an Auto? Is it just the exhaust flange which needs to be changed or is the whole unit different? Thanks, Dan

has anyone done any track time, or prepared an Na as a track car? my plan was always to use the na as a daily drive and fix up the dead tt as a track car, but i sold the TT to buy a SWB shell, which turned out to be beyond saving so only have my NA, which isn't getting used as im riding to and from work. i used to do alot of track and drift sessions back when i had a 200sx, been looking at adjustable suspension and big brake conversions etc. just wondered what everyone opinion would be on an Na track car? i just love the way my Na drives and handles, its a '95 lwb Na, and it would have to remain road legal, should i do it or get rid and b…
