Doing an oil change for the first time what engine oil should i put in??

good question... and that would depend on the type of mods you have .....

 

but for standard a semi-synthetic 15W30 or 40 will do nice.

 

10 and lower are a little too runny and may cause some unwanted leaks.... (this is advice given to me by Jeff).

Cheers the Mods ive got are:

 

Chrome pipes

Blue silcon hosings with chrome clamps

Exceedy race cluth

Apexi turbo timer - Turns the car off a upto 1 minute 20 after you take the key out, to let the turbo's idle.

Apexi Electronic boost controller (with the all important instruction manual) this has 2 settings and monitors upto 3 things, including RPM/boost/speed. Each gear can be set for when the boost comes on and goes and how much boost each gear receives, I have not played with it, I don't even know which setting is the power setting as I cannot get the power down in either properly.

Alloys race radiator

Very big aftermarket cone airfilter, K&N I believe

Decat pipes on the turbo

Aluminum lightened crank shaft and also aluminum pipes underneath the radiator

Any half decent 10w40 semi will do the job unless you're tracking it. Don't use a 30 grade oil, it's too thin when up to temp for an old 90s Japanese turbocharged engine. The lower the first number the less viscous it is when cold.
