If you take off the interior boot plastic panels, either side you can see the inside face of the rear quarter. If you stick your head in the hole and shine a torch down you can see the seams where the rear quarter skin joins the inner arch skin and the structure inside the boot, all meeting in the bottom corner. From the outside, this is the bit behind the rear wheel, down the bottom, the little lip that collects all the dirt. Today I set about rust proofing inside this area when I noticed quite a bit of dirt inside especially in the bottom corner on the petrol filler side (lwb) where it has congregated, so I decided to clean it all to get it protected. When I w…

Anyone any experience with this. I'm insured with Adrian flux. And pay through through the teeth for road insurance. Rang then today to see about trackday cover (for Japfest initially, it will want it for other days). They qouted me £130 for the day, but only covers up to £1000. What feckin good is that. Is that just how trackday insurance is or are flux hammering me. Any advice welcome. Have done a few trackdsys before without cover, but as I plunge more and more cash into the car, feel like I should have it. Cheers Danny

Using the search seems to suggest that it's ok to do this but I thought I'd just check that 5mm spacers are ok without using longer studs or hub centric spacers?

Big thanks to steve at silverline for his superb engineering skills! I had recently installed the AMS 2.5" intercooler pipe work and needed some custom made one off pipes to fit my Greddy FMIC to complete the system. I didnt want to buy new intercoolers that can be bought with the 2.5 AMS kit as i had already bought the FMIC way before I decided to go ahead with the AMS kit. The outlets on the FMIC where already 2.5" just 2 of the pipes had reducers on that reduced the pipe down to 2" to match the stock 2" pipe work. I contacted Steve who was more than happy to take the job on. I sent the originals as a template so it was possible to make the pipes without …

Does anyone know the part number for the bearing you need when putting in the manual conversion?

So today I set about changing this ball joint as I split the boot when changing the wheel bearing and as a replacement boot wasn't available I bought a new ball joint. I couldn't get the old girl out so I took the lower arm to a local car garage place where they kindly pressed it out and pressed the new one in. However, I didn't see them doing it but they told me that the ball joint started to split on its way in using the 10 ton press. I thought this a bit strange but left them to it after they assured me it will go in and will be fine. This is what it looks like, it's looks to me as if they have used a small drift where it has marked: I…

  23. Got a bit sick of looking for a google image  I am having some bespoke indiglo dials made and I have everything as spares but the boost gauge face as that's in the car and I don't want the bother of taking this to bits just yet if I can help it. So I am hoping someone as the dial faces on the bench or a picture on there pc, I need a pic of the shape of just the boost gauge, ideally the JDM minus and plus 7 as I am not sure if the UK plus and minus 14 is different, I expect it is the same ? A photo of it with the speedo in front of it is of no help as google gives me lots like this . Thank you.
