once i got my car running i have a Modified plenum with all the PVC/water/Balance Ports removed i was going to relocate the Balancing part of the plenum to the under/back side so it can not bee seen but in doing this the Pipe will not be 23mm in size like the original balancing pipe now i seen ppl have done a balancing bridge in front of the throttle body's .. i think this looks crap as the Ports for the recirc/Bovs are on the same pipe work but quit a bit before... would it be poss or be ok to put a Link there and work the Bovs back in ? i will still be keeping some form of Balance pipe on the back of plenum still but would be more like 10>15mm…

My son saw a black tt in Dereham, Thursday afternoon going through the town. I have been told numerous times by different people about this car, but never seen it myself. It has become a bit of a mythical beast. :)

After changing both 02 sensors and checked a few other things, I thought I would run Data Scan just to check. As far as the sensors go, all appears to be good. Would someone take a look and see if everything else seems correct? [video=youtube_share;kbN_e6FoIKY] Sorry about the quality, Will try again at the weekend.

Just left my work and managed to do a 180 in the car park in the dry. As I reversed out of my parking space and round a bend somehow the clutch came off then rebit, in the second or so panic I took my foot off the accelerator then back on again just as it rebit in second gear. Now as I was turning the corner when the clutch re engadged and I had my foot on the accelerator the zed instantly spun 180 where she stood without the front wheels barely moving. My heart jumped out my body via my arse, I quickly jumped out checked everything out and luckily all is well and no damage, but if it slipped or should say unslipped what could have caused that?

Hi everyone Having a few issues with my Zeds brakes, nothing too major but would like some thoughts. First issue is a screeching noise when braking at low speeds. It is really quite loud. It seems to happen around 10 MPH but not above. Also, it doesn't happen if I brake hard and come to a stop, only when I'm inching forward in traffic or coming to a gentle stop. I've had a look at the rotors through the wheels and they seem okay, no gouges or marks I can see. One thing I have noticed while crawling along with brake pressure applied is that the screeching sound fades in and out. This makes me think that maybe the brake rotors are warped? This lea…

Hello all Driving down to get my brake pads and disks done today when I noticed steam coming from under the bonnet. When I opened the hood there was steam and water coming from under a foam seal from the top left side of the radiator. Im not too bad when it comes to basics but not sure if it's the radiator that is knackered or cracked or something.

thought i heard something the other day but wrote it off as half asleep, but i was parking my zed up tonight and i noticed when i put it in reverse and put the clutch down, i heard a really strange almost grinding noise, was quite loud. i took it out of gear and lifted the clutch and it stopped, and didn't do it again when i tried again...? im not very good with gearboxes, but am i right in thinking its most likely clutch related? as i had it dipped when it made the noise? anyone got any suggestions? eventually im going to change to a light flywheel and clutch but not got the funds at the moment.

Having broken a drive shaft on my land rover at the weekend ( having too much fun) i took the zed to work today. Parked in a legitimate parking space , handbreak on, in gear A van drives up, reverses into the back of my zed, shunts it forward nearly a meter, scrapes the paint off and damages the rear bumper. Then he drives off ( forward then reverse again) without even stopping to look or leave any details :( Am about to write an email to the company expressing my displeasure

Took apart my rear brakes today as i have a very weak brake and handbrake on drivers side. Definitely found a problem So i rung around and found that handbrake shoes are no longer available as nissan sold there last set to zedworld last year. So 2 options available now, buy the one single used shoe that jeff has left, or reglue the pad i have back on. If i do glue it what glue would do it best? Or long shot, has anyone got some new ones they arent gonna use?

Any ideas of the best way to go about tackling these, ive tried drilling through one and using larger size drill bits to increase the hole, but the only one that managed to get through was a tiny one, the others are just going blunt (HSS cobalt Dewalt drill bits :( ). drivers side needs 1 drilling out, one stud actually undone, and one nut came off as normal, passenger side how ever, 2 snapped 1 undone as normal. I can not for the life of me get this damn drill bit to eat the stud that's in there, so at the moment, my clutch change is on hold. i want to get these elbows sorted while the gearbox is off the car as i have more room to play with. I have a stud extr…

Hi guys, Ok, I've got an aftermarket radiator that I want to swap with the current standard one. I was just wondering if it will be a straight swap. I am aware that the top mounts won't fit, but am unsure if there are any problems with anything else. Any help will be appreciated, cheers.

So finally, after spending several hours cutting away more and more rotten steel; wondering where it would end and what I'd be left with to rebuild I came across a Zed in a breakers locally. Personally I think I got a great deal, though I am annoyed that they cut the wire harnesses with a hacksaw...something I didn't notice originally as I was too concerned about looking for rot. Anyway - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10200455308479029.1073741825.1046268565&type=1&l=1c32d0655b My rotten Z can be seen if you follow the link below. Can't wait to get stuck in! Edit - Oh, BTW, this Z came from South Shields, and judging my th…
