about a month or 2 ago there was a chat about fuel pumps .. Stock nissan walbro 255 detchworks 300/320 and there was another one that 400+ or something alike did any one save the link at all ? or buy one

  2. Basically the catalytic converter warning light came on just for a few seconds whilst driving the motorway earlier. from a quick research I assume it could be a faulty o2 sensor? dumping unburnt fuel down the exhaust the light is off now and hasn't came back on but I have to assume it will come back eventually. question is if it were to come down to replacing the O2 sensors, how difficult is this job? also what else could cause the warning light to come on? when the light was on I did feel a minor difference in acceleration, but nothing major. Thanks Sascha

A zed came to the workshop last week presenting some odd running problems, the ConZult was showing reasonable settings but if left ticking over slowly get slower and stall, the pick up was just not right and unstable, on a hunch I removed the elderly looking HKS mushroom air filter and once the afm was seperated it was clear the foam filter had started to break up and the afm air flow was getting blocked by the foam bits, a new filter and a clean out and all was good again, worth checking if you have one of these kits fitted. 6. Ok guys, still a bit skint after buying my zed in Feb. Car is in red and in standard stock form with black leather trim and factory wheels. I don't really mind the standard rims tbh and replacing tyres will obvs be a more economical task. (The car had 350z alloys on at the garage that was selling it, which I wasn't too fussed on and negotiated a substantial discount if they were swapped back) I've been toying with giving the car/rims a new lease of life as a cheap 'pimp' by painting them a different colour to stock. I had in mind either a satin black, a darkish/gunmetal metallic or maybe even gold? Anybody thoughts/suggestions on this subject or any pics of simi…

Series 1 bumpers, mine have a dopple effect finish rather than a smooth finish on the lower part. Is this the same on all series 1 bumpers? The reason I ask is that I am looking to tidy up the front bumper (smooth it over etc) and don't wanna waste time trying to smooth the lower half if I can find one already like that.

Any thoughts on why the hicas light may come on after driving for a while? Ive changed the hicas ball joints, topped up the fluid, ensured the steering wheel is straight. Any other thoughts to try? Cheers

Hi guys, Anyone know of anywhere that sells rear arches like these... The ones in the pic, seems like there specific for a zed but on a jap website and I cant read it to find them lol. I like this look, don't like nothing huge just a little flare. Any help appreciated,

  13. Should I remove all the tweed and attach a vynal cover of some sort? should I find a series 2 velour, or wait and hope to be jammy and find one of those elusive alcantara sets? I quite like the leatherette look or the alacantara stuff, what have you guys used to get a good finish tahts fabric rather than vynal.

Hi Mention earlier in a thread that I had a problem with high idle. on Sunday I cleaned the TPS connector, CAS connector, pulled the balance bar and sprayed some WD 40 into the AAV This morning on the way into work I noticed that the Turbos were not working, or at least the boost gauge needle was smack in the middle of the dial, exactly the same as when you pull the hose off the balance bar to do the "pass emission test" trick. Are the two related , high idle and now loss of boost,...is it time for a boost leak check ? any advice greatly appreciated Maz

So, I've managed to get myself two tailgates that are more worse for wear and wondered how easy it would be to remove the glass. One is uk spec glass and the other is jap spec coloured. As I'm getting a re-spray shortly I was wanting to replace the black trim around the tailgate as its got overspray and became badly marked. Also a reason to change my current tailgate glass is that the person who welded my old spoiler holes up never properly protected the rear glass and the slag from the welding gun burned through the tint.

I was thinking the other day and wondered how important it is to have the right size battery in your car. Mine is definately too small and I wondered if that affects any of the running of the car. I know when I'm pulling away the lights will sometimes go a bit dimmer and the blowers will slow down a little. What do you think? Is it really important?

Hey Guys, Noz said on conzult that the AAC valve wasn't working so i have now replaced that unit with the air regulator. I start the car up with AAC removed and then set base idle to 650, however once i connect the aac it will shoot right back up too 1500 and no matter what i do on the screw of the aac valve it makes no difference. Not sure if this is related, recently my peak boost was set to a max of 17 and if i increased my settings my car would boost to 17. However i have noticed that i can only boost to about 14.3 and no matter what i do it doesn't go any higher. today after changing the aac valve i have noticed that there is some sort of hissing soun…

Take 2 good turbo,s that were perfect and none smoking, producing good boost to have 360,s fitted and a bit of tweaking on the housing and blade fronts...fitted them and put the motor in over the w/end and then brought the oil pressure up with the fuel pump fuse out and after good oil pressure let it fire up and idle for 5 mins to be confronted by so much blue smoke i thought ide had a cataract over my 2 eyes. Got under the car and noticed oil weeping from the exhaust housing side on both tubs:angry:...Took the down pipes off and found this...to say ime pissed right now is an understatement, looks like he,s forgot to fit the seals:eek: please Discuss:yes:
