Still mulling over the wheels on my new zed. got a guy not too far from me flogging what looks to be half decent set off darkish gold 5spoke type (not Toyota, some generic alloy make avb or something) off his MK2 MR2, 17 x 8jj 38 and 17x9jj 35, with tyres for £200 Ono. Tyres on front are prob a bit too skinny for a zed 205/40/17, backs are 245/35/17's. anybody know if these would slot on without any mither? Was looking at being cheeky & bidding £40 a corner at weekend.....

Hi guys, i'm going to try and install a Autobox this weekend , so i'd like to take a quick straw poll on which method everyone has used. Do you put the TQ on the box or install it first on the engine. I do remember when we took the box off, the TQ was left on the engine which i took off afterwards. Dont know if that makes a difference, JeffTT did advise putting it on the box for alignment reasons, which i can understand, but then what about securing the TQ, it was hard enough without the bell housing in place. Hope you can help Rich

Looking to fit NA Rear Diff in my SWB TT. If my understanding is right, the NA prop will fit. If I want to fit a one-piece prop, do I need TT or NA one??? Or is that why Z1 offer the 'custom' one? http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1831

this i a new one on me, my other half has given me an unwanted gift. its an asus laptop, running windows 7, has intel atom, full hd. etc. its very fast, but my question is can i run consult on it, or datascan. what do i need, i know i need a 14 plug that i can connect to the car, i have seen a few on ebay, that have cd, leads and other bits. what do i need on the laptop and what do i need on the software. Give me engines, or plumbing or carp stuff any day. Im totally lost stu

hi im stuck with this propshaft iv changed the gearbox over from a auto to manual iv put the front part of the manual prop on but were it joins the back part of the prop the 4 bolt part is smaller how do I undo the nut in the middle to change the 4 bolt bracket over cheers ted

Hi guys, been swapping my trims over today with the ones I bought from Baz on here recently. While I was doing the driver side under-dash trim I came across 2 items dangling loose behind it, that clearly shouldn't have been (just dangling that is). The first one is a Nissan-labelled black box with a multi-plug going in to it. There is a metal bracket fixed to it that obvs should be used to attach it to something as a permanent fixing. Not overly concerned at this as it doesn't seem to be doing much harm loose for the time being....the other thing however, looks more like it has broken off something or been removed? (Possibly hicas or something?) it is a white plastic plug…

Hi, wonder is anyone can help please. My dads car went for MOT on Monday and it was noticed 2 bushes are really bad (pics below) ive been told they are the front lower control arm bush but am i right in thinking its the front tension arm? Also where can i buy replacement bushes? Thanks :D

Ok so the rear arches on my pulsar are going to be done in next week or so, I'd like to respray my car myself, now I've done bits n bobs before, is solid black (kh3) an easy colour to spray? Now ill be doing the front and rear bumpers first and see how they turn out before moving onto the rest Has anyone got any tips or guides on how to get best results Any help would be great please, and I know it would be easier to get someone to do it but just can't afford that option at the min 1: what grit paper is best to use for first stage 2:what grit paper for sanding primer 3:what grit for top coat 4: how to get a nice finish?

My girlfriend complains that the tv gets interference when my car is driving up the street. What causes this? I also get a whistling through my speakers in tune to the engine revs. Is this a power cable too close to an RCA? None resistored spark plugs? It's annoying me now. Thanks, Dan

Hi guys, Got my new shell home, going to start swapping all the bits over. But I have na rear end which I want to put on the new shell, but new shell has the newer electronic hicas. On the older system u can unplug one connector on the hicas ecu and leave the other one plugged in, Lets u keep your speed assisted steering, and turns hicas off. Just had a quick look and couldn't see the hicas ecu in the foot well, and theres an ecu in the boot which aint on my older car is this the hicas ecu. Is there a way of unplugging it and keeping assisted steering.. Any help appreciated.

Hi can anyone help ive cut powersteering belt off today to refit top bolt in alternator because it seemed to be in the way ive slacked adjuster bolts and the hidden bolt behind the powersteering pulley but pump wont swing down at all is there another bolt somewhere can someone post a diagram please thanks.

Right my z has an issue where the key wont open or lock the drivers door from the outside . Only way I can get into car is by getting in through passenger side and reaching over to open drivers door from inside. The key will go all the way around in the lock and not connect , any ideas ?

Just purchased this today: 300ZX Z32 NON TURBO DIFF & SUBFRAME CONVERSION **HICAS DELETE** I'll be getting a 1 piece NA prop shaft from Z1 soon to replace my current TT Z1 prop, but I have 2 questions: 1. Is there anything missing? 2. Will my drift works adjustable camber arms still work? Thanks

Anyone know any other supplier of eagle conrods for the 300zx? I need to replace one, been to the eagle website and emailed them, they said best to order through a supplier, i emailed z1 but have had no reply from them. I also need to weight the big end and the little end of the rod, but not sure how id go about doing that as they are one unit.

Got my car back from garage on Friday to sort the misfiring out, it has been fine for 3 days but now all of a sudden it have decided to do it again, the garage apparently said it was an injector so they cleaned them. Surely it can't be an injector again can it? Don't really want to take it back to my garage because they had it for 6 weeks and most of that time it was just sat outside. Any ideas guys? Cheers James

Just seen a post on here regarding the hicas, is there a way of telling if its working? When I bought my zed it had an aftermarket steering wheel on also, so I put back the original one but don't recall seeing a yellow mark or any pins, for all I know is it possible that the hicas on mine is somehow turned off? Second problem is I have a leak when it rains, it's not the targa rubber (I don't think) And both the drain holes are clear. It's coming down the side panel just below the glove box in the passenger side footwell, just in front of the ecu which is worrying.. I've checked the trim on the left hand side which runs down the windscreen And stuck a bead of silicon…

When I first got my uk 300 manual turbo, (1992) it came with a second ecu. Is there an easy way for me to check that the one that is fitted is indeed the right one for the car? Also, can I actually check which one of the two is the original one?

OK I have decided the knock on my old engine is getting a bit worse now so I've decided to get the good spare one I have fitted instead. I was gonna leave it till end of hte summer but I just don't trust the old one enough I've booked the car in to have the engines swapped early/mid May as I will be away sunning myself for about 3 weeks and want it back for the Summer shows, so it seems he ideal opportunity. I've had a real good think about what I want to achieve (as well as stopping the car knocking lol) and come to the decision I would like to get the best performance I can out of the replacement engine, whilst stilll keeping stock internals.
