Hi just tried fitting a sandwich plate and the centre bolt seems to bottom out when done up on the orginal housing and i a can still turn the sandwich plate its fairly hard to turn i think the rubber o ring is squashed is this ok i cant start as no oil in engine yet.Also the 3 take offs on the sandwich plate are too small for my hks sendor can i get a step up adaptor all these bsp thread sizes are confusing me or can the plate be drilled and tapped thanks taff.

Bad news for my ZX Was driving along m25 when i noticed smoke coming from the engine and threw my vents. Quickly pulled to hard shoulder, opened bonnet to find my engine a complete blaze. Flagged down a lorry who had a fire extinguisher put it out within a minuite. However i think its still caused alot of damage :( Garage reckons an oil hose has burst and leaked onto the manifold where the engine has caught light, will this be the end of the ZX........ who knows!

On the way back to Faro Airport today an orange 300zx at side of road covered in dust.

is it some kind of safety feature on manual gear box ? i can`t get in first gear while car is moving ... only on full stop i can get it in first gear

Seeing as I have the facilities (a photocopier!) to run of a batch of leaflets for the Trentham Classic car show I whought I would have a go at designing something. Hi I've just put back together my front susnesion and I've got 2 big washers left over there big about the size of a 50 p .the 2 options left is under trackrod end nut or under nut lower front shock mount both places don't look right can't find a diagram on web with washers on any help please thanks Taff

Hi guys, well i'm nearly there with gearbox and am looking at the finer details, My car ia a NA auto, i removed the box and am fitting a replacement, unfortunately i couldn't get a box from a NA so am fitting, after "'course you can use it" advice one from a TT. Now for the minor details. The loom from the old box has a connector coming out of it (see pic) but the loom on the TT doesn't, what's if for and to confuse things, i cant see a recepticle in the engine bay. The rev sensor from the old box has some fly leads (see pic), any idea where these go as i cant see anywhere under the car to fit them to. Thats it for now, but if i find anymore funnies i'll …

Guys reshelling my car, My car is a 1989 manual tt, and the shell ive bought is a 1995 auto tt, Few bits im stuck with and not use to where they have changed things on the newer models. im doing an na rear end conversion, new car has electric hicas. It looks like the computer is in the boot, on the older car it was in the passanger footwell, u can unplug one connector on the hicas computer and it would loose the hicas light and keep your speed assisted steering. How would i go about it on the newer car, shall i just take the bulb out lol. I want to change the loom which goes right around the front of car for a manual loom so my manual gearbox pl…

Im hopefully getting a very cheap TT on friday, and because its so cheap i want to enter the PPC £999. It needs a new turbo so thought about fitting some 200sx T25's. Ive been trying to find info on what is needed but cant find any so could someone point me in the right direction ? Also ive been looking at 3sgte 430cc injectors but waiting on a message back to find out if they are high or low impedance ( they are denso side feed and should fit by the looks of them) Has anyone had good results using ebay stuff ? mainly SMIC and full exhausts systems ? Any pointers would be appreciated ;)

Ok, swapped my rims back to the 18" 350z set that was on prior to me buying my zed. Still toying with the idea of painting them though..... Had a mess about on photoshop with black and with gold, any thoughts/choices as to what looks best? Chucked a standard one in as well so u can see what they're like now silver..... I know gold is a bit 'old school' but I kinda like it (prob being an old git!) The black photoshop is a bit ropey but I rushed them over a brew this morning.....u get a rough idea though

For having aftermarket headlight bulbs ie hids It says headlamp levelling device missing on fail sheet He told me to put standard bulbs in and he would pass it ,i couldnt be bothered arguing with him so will change the bulbs, its not too bad for a years mot on a 19 year old car

Hi, can anybody help, I need my aircon recharging, I have some leak sealer to be added to the system for surety, and I have my own gas bottle of R12 which I want used as it meets the original spec and is better as a refrigerant gas than the new stuff, I need the Schrader fittings to allow me to connect up or somebody with the right fittings, don't mind a drive out to see someone, just need some help getting the fecking gas into the system!! Just as I was getting settled in, it's moved somewhere! Where is it hiding now, anybody know? I've had a 'man-look' as the missus would call it, but can't find it again...

I'm in need of some spare connectors with tails if anyone has any lying around. I need 6x injector connectors 1x CAS connector And maybe some coil pack connectors but I'm not sure how many. All connectors are the ones of the harness itself just incase any ambiguity. Thanks, Hollings

My car is soon to go over to zed world for cam belt and set up and i was going to buy a set of discs and pads and strip down the calipers and get a set of seals and pos pistons for the calipers, before i send the car over but after talking to them thismorning , for three hundred quid i can get a new set of disc .pads. calipers checked and fitted with calipers with new seals for three hundred quid. like i say ive awnsered me own question a. god bless Zworld and all who work there.
