Hiya Guys Been looking for over 30mins to find a wiring guide to fit a PTU 1 to a PTU 2....... I found it before.....but now gone? Any help!!

So, after a good outing to Japfest last weekend, and a good run, I come to use the Zed yesterday and...nothing. Absolutely nothing. In this I mean, the Zed won't start. The alarm pings correctly, and when I put the key in to start up, I am reading 12.4v and all the gauges/instrument panel come on (including the battery light and exclamation mark as usual), but that is it when I turn the key. No sound of starter motor, fuelling, engine. Nothing, then within a second the TT comes on to count down its 30 seconds. Then the alarm kicks in as usual. I did notice also that when I tried to alarm/disalarm the alarm, it beeped at me four times on the disalarm. So, I am think…

hi guys ok iv put a tt gearbox manual with n/a flywheel clutch do I need a n/a starter motor or a tt one as I try to start the car and it sounds awful iv pulled the starter off and the teeth on the flywheel look as if I will damage them if I keep going, the starter will freeze and whine cheers ted

hi all need help with my boost controller. it says warning on the display and the gauge is illuminated in red. it used to be blue. is that a separate warning or fualty wiring causing it to change color? i have no clue how it works or if its even working at all. jeff said it was an old unit and i would like to have it replaced. when the car is off thats what is it reads when i think its working, engine on at idle and when i think its not, engine on at idle jeff also said that because its an old unit the afc was used to bypass the ecu pre chipping days. so would i just need to get it remapped? chipped? and drop the afc. i foun…

Started putting the zed back together think it looks amazing even though the kit isn't painted yet, fell back in love with it all over again, The kit is only trial fitted at the mo, what do you guys think

i'm looking at sending my front calipers away for a refurb,this means my cars layed up for a week but i dont want to crimp the pipes for that long ,can i buy some planks to go on the nuts i take out the calipers so i don't waste any oil if so what size thread is ? or maybe i could borrow some off a fello zedder

Around 10:30 this morning, heading towards the A509 / Irchester, black with black multi spoke alloys, smoothed tail gate looks quite nice, i was around 8 cars behind you after i joined london road.

Saturday change over is always busy but today the phone has been red hot, which suggests many more zeds are getting Summer ready this year, lets hope the weather makes it a good year!! When we closed up we had a little trouble squeezing them all in but as always we managed it, however it seems a particular little red number sneaked in!!!

Would SMIC's with a total width of 410mm fit with the standard bumper ? ive removed the washer tank, the header tank and the CC ( im fitting smaller tanks after ive removed more of the excess crap in the engine bay) and the standard SMIC mounts. The coolers are 300mm high, 75mm thick and 410mm wide at the inlets ( well they will be after ive cut and welded them :offtopic:) just need to know if they would fit before i buy them :winkiss:

Hi all..ok this happend tonight and i some advice to what it could be. comeing home from work the car suddenly made a sort of whirring noise,at the next set of traffic lights i stopped and as i went to pull away..nothing,just revs and not moveing. i turned engine off then on again,put it into gear and for about 10/15 seconds it drove then once again lots of revs but not moveing. any help?

hi all, ive got a VW Radio Navigation sitting in my room and my stereo is in desperate need of replacing. Id rather have this installed. does anyone know who and where I can get an unbiased advice from? It seems that the few audio stores that I've been to are more interested in selling me one. Or are adamant that it cant be done. Im sure it can be done. The last person said to me it wouldn't work because its coded to the vw computer. either way id like have that installed. is it possible?

Been doing a boost leak check today and had the car plugged in to some software or other. Anyway, the one I was using had an FCID test (basically turning it on and off). I understand I should be able to hear it clicking when doing this but I can't. So, before I go replacing/taking it out for a good clean, I want to know what affects that actually has on the car. I know it let's the revs drop when turning on the blowers, but is that it or could it have some affect on the running of the car in anyway? The reason I ask is that I can't find much wrong with the car and can't get the IAA to sit at 15, it constantly wants the move slightly when idling. Also the…

Ive never had such a single day that i spotted so many zeds, all in Littlehampton. 1st was Marv300, red tt see most mornings on way to work, A259 ford 2nd was Spanish's red TT A259 at 11am, waved and waved back. 3rd was Rich in his white slicktop, again waved and waved back, Horsham Road about 1pm go to the office, on route back to Littlehampton, 4th, A new one Silver TT G432*** flashed at in my work transit, got a weird look back at climping A259. 5th about 15 cars later after spotting the silver zed, i see Inc86 (Nick) in his stunning white zed just coming off the tesco's roundabout. It appears i am going to need a new engine for my girl. There is so much wrong with it since the engine fire it pretty much would need a complete engine rebuild! I'm currently measuring the daily drain on an unused but alarmed Z and want to know how low I dare let the voltage drop before the car won't start properly. I'm no sparkie though I'm aware it's actually amps that crank the car, but I'm getting the following readings and at some point the volt number will be too low to start: Sun morning: 12.45v Mon morning: 12.29v Tue morning: 12.09v Wed morning: 11.98v Thu morning: 11.90v ^ these are including opening/closing central locking once per morning, leaving alarmed/immobilized and not starting/driving car

Im removing these flanges for the extra injectors from the hard pipes and either getting the hole covered or a beaded pipe fitted to run a hose between them for a pre throttle balance pipe. Opinions.......

hi all, Im looking out for another swb, Im 30 yrs old and never claimed however I havent drove for 2 years through personal reasons and ive lost my NCB when I try and get quotes off 'specialist companies' there a bit ridiculous 2.5k+ is anyone insuring there import on a proper traditional classic policy (I understand about all the terms and c's to do with this route) I insured my ford pop this way and it was 100 quid for the year, if I could get the Z under 1k insurance Id be happy just cant seem to find many companies any help appreciated thanks kris
