Hi Guys , at the rear of the gearboxes, i'm assuming its the same for all variants, is a cylindical casting at an angle. When removed there is a gear at the end which splices onto a wheel inside the rear of the box. now the one i removed from a NA auto box does not fit the hole of a TT Autobox, so there are some differences, but my main question is what does this sensor detect?. is it speed or rpm? Also, if i reduce the dia of the sensor to fit the TT box, (its a couple of mm off dia) will it work? Thanks Rich

Does some one have a Ksport 8pot calliper of at the moment or know of the dimension from mounting face of the calliper to the bolt holes on wheel hub and hub face to the calliper bolt holes. I have a set of Ksport 8pot callipers, 330mm discs and a ally bar of 2 1/4"x20" to make the calliper brackets with my milling machine, so I just need a ball park figer to make a dummy bracket from plastic. Any help on the dimension would be most great full. Iain

Firstly the FMIC pipework was rusty and horrible looking due to weathering, this has now been addressed: The rear calipers were badly painted red so have now been painted the same colour (or as close as possible) to the D2's on the front. And finally the exhausts given a proper clean... BEFORE AND AFTER:

Braided Stainless Steel one piece jobbie... What is the length difference for LHD and RHD? I'd rather get one from UK supplier tbh... Also, Is it best to follow shortest route, or follow oem route? Anyone got any pics of any installed? Also looking at some options below: Leaning towards RPS Flywheel and Southbend Clutch, anyone recommend these?

Here is my BBK ! Parts Mitsubishi evo 5/9 Brembo calipers Mitsubishi evo 5/9 brake lines Mitsubishi evo 10 rotors 350x32mm Adapters The evo brembos are one of the best brakes available They are 1.5kg lighter than the stock Z32 iron calipers and they are huge! pistons size is 2x40mm 2x46mm The Z32 master cylinder is the same size of the evos so they are perfect to run these babys If you want to keep low weight, you can purchase the 2pc Giro discs, they weight the same stock 280x30mm Z32 about 7.5kg, but since the calipers wieght less, you have bigger brakes and low weight! Here is my set Missing the roto…

So as we are all here , and own at least one 300ZX , its fair to assume we appreciate the effort put in by the designers of the car. But lets imagine you were sitting over the designers shoulder as the final draft was just done. He asked you what is the one thing you would change about the car from a design standpoint. Be it bodystyling , performance , ease of maintenance etc. Pick one thing you would change about the car. For me , it occurred to me last night. I usually have the car parked in the garage where its out of sight for 6 days a week , but last night i had it parked it outside the house on the driveway. As i was outside for a quiet cigare…

To those who have removed their engine / gearbox - is it easier to remove them separately, or together? I'll be transplanting them into a new shell, so it seems to make sense to remove and transplant them together, as a single 'unit'. Just thought I'd ask opinions of those who have done it, if it's a total nightmare doing it with them joint together, then I'll just unbolt the gearbox. Thanks!

Remember this post a few weeks ago??? Got a mid morning call from my best mate, he had a moment on the M40 this morning going to work and despite been an ace driver could not stop the 180 spin into the barrier!!!!!!!!!!!! Good news he walked away unhurt, which is the most important, but his zed of 14 years ownership is looking less well, thank goodness for the barrier which stopped this been a very different outcome. Jeff TT So after much deliberation should it be repaired or should it not be repaired with 14 years of ownership the decision was made and work has begun, though it might be interesting to share the progress. …

well another spanner in the works and tribulation of my ongoing struggle to get a road worthy zed .... it appears now that after spending over 2 years at that C*** duffs , it went in fully working and an excellent example and coming back in pieces and canabalised 2 years later , then Jeff salvaging the mess and putting it back together...for another 2 years .it now seems like the gearbox along the way has been swapped for one with knackered planetary gears in 1st 2nd and 3rd .....im fairly certain i picked up the correct gearbox from Duffs there was only mine an StevMochans in and steves was attached to his block i think......absolutely fuming that that sheffield …

My Zed started tapping a bit last week and has done it ever since. It sounds louder from the front of the engine, rather than the top which I thought was a bit odd. Was told by Pete who used to run se Nissan that it sounded like the tappets and not to worry too much about it. Problem is, although I'm not too worried.... Its REALLY pi55in me off. Has anyone else had this issue ( I know its quite common) and how did you solve it ( without taking the engine apart). Was going to use an engine flush then change the oil and use an additive (ametech restore or something similar), question is what have other people used ( additive wise)? And what grade oil to use (P…
