Hi guys some of you will remember I had a problem with major misfiring on my 300zx a week or so ago, but thanks to advice from everyone on here I managed to fix the issue and the car is perfect again. turns out it was a bad ptu, corroded fuel injector connectors and baked ptu wiring issue. Anyway, thanks for everyones advice!!

I haven't done anything performance wise to my car yet it's had a zed world ecu so far. Looking at cat back exhaust and single air filter come as dual is pointless unless running high bhp. Also looking at getting interior trim kit to match car colour and new seats but don't no if I would have to modify rails. What else do you all suggest open to any ideas. Thanks Do55bag

Hi, good evening all Only just noctied this but maybe ive moved something to make this happen i do not know, on my auto box i have a switch which has Hold and Power , i dont bother with it, but what i have noticed is that when i put my foot down the power light lights up on the right of my dash, is this normal? or not? To pass an mot I had to make my fog lights work as side lights, this itself was due to having to shave the back of my indicator / side light cluster to aid fitting of bigger intercoolers, Now I have fitted LED bulbs into the correct side light position and want to return the wiring to normal. I cannot recall what I did and no amount of cursing has helped, I need a schematic which clearly shows the wiring from the foglight to indicator and to the side light , can anybody help please, oh my car is a jap 93 auto and all the connections were the three pin type, will this now be a problem as the LED holder is a two wire type I,e live and neutral , Thanks …

Im looking at buying a waterproof car cover for the Zed, I was wondering what other people have / recommend? It will remain outside, so it needs to be fairly strong, and not feeble. Most online I see are universal fits, does these fit ok? Thanks in advance, Alex

Well for a few years now noticed oil coming from the back of the engine but very small amount,think it's the crankshaft oil seal! But noticed it's getting worse as there is oil on my garage floor as there never used to be,how bad will this get if it protist and I don't repair it? If I have to repair it is it easier enough to do?

thanks to bri for once again taking the time on a sunday afternoon to look at my car and sort a few issues timing was looked at today and found to be correct and he also did a boost leak test and did find a pretty big boost leak .witch he fixed to top guy has helped so much since joined this forum and saved me whole load of hasstle not many people round that will go out of there way to help you not once but twice now.:clap:

Hi, After a major overheat from turbo water pipe last year I've been trying to confirm the head gasket has gone before I pull the engine. The engine runs well (on drive as on sorn), gets up to temperature and doesn't overheat. However there is a lot of dirty crud in water (brown deposits, almost rusty looking that float to neck of rad!) I've tried a block test but that was not conclusive, even though I dropped the water level considerable it kept sucking up coolant after 4 or 5 pumps of bulb. Stayed blue until then. I've just done a hot compression test and got the following readings: TT Manual. 1. 166 2. 159 3. 158 4. 160 5. 165 6. 16…

if anyones got a set of none working broken compleate or bits of rear tail lights dont matter of sate cas i got a guy who works in moulding plastics and he needs a template and fixings ect to make up a new unit ,for full sequential led tail lights set up i have in the design stage, atm. cheers.really domt matter even if there glazed craken broken or bit missing.

ok my car is getting detonation but why . just been out in it tonite safty boost kicked in again so pulled over and restarted it again boost back up to normal .so drove home just at normal speed limit normal rpm and had the window down could here the enginge detting even driving normal. I thought det was only when boost was high .so car is running 14psi chip from z centre air box removed and cat back system and uprated plugs think there heat range 7 so what going on help please

Kudos goes to Medallionman for an amazing guide he sent to me without request to my email address. I now hate Butyl/Tar and it's the worst stuff I've ever worked with. Got through it though and got most of it off the car. Here is how far I've gotten so far... The heating for 5 mins didn't work for me. I went for a bake of around 7mins in the oven itself. The lights glided apart like butter. No marks on the lenses and no cracks etc. Well happy. Watch this space on the mod I'll be doing.

Ok so im driving down the road and had to overtake a tractor put my foot down then all of a sudden a mighty squeel from the fan belt so pulled over and just saw water throwing its self on the floor from the water pump have had a good look today and its definatly the water pump is this an easy job to do ? Im a fairly competent home mechanic or should this be done by a garage ?? Poor z :/

ill explane. i just got my agreed value under written buy the insurance company and its come back with the value i asked for. not only did i send some craking pics but also all the copys of paperwork that whats been done and were and all the history ect .So at least if it does get trashed ill still be right back here with my cheque book. On my way to work this morning in the zed (as I do every morning), once up to temp I gave it a bit of right foot only to be greeted with..... Nothing!? Tried again when I had a bit of empty road and again nothing, so (not as quickly as usual) made my way to work. On the way home this evening, again got the car up to temp and gave it some beans again and still nothing. Decided to pull over, stuck in in park and gave it a rev just in the hope I could hear anything but still nothing. Thought sod it, I'll get home and have a look over the weekend before I fit my hicas eliminator, pulled away and (as it says in the cilit bang ad) turbo power!? What could be the caus…

It's official car is now sorn'd, which makes me feel sad. But the fun can now begin....

Ive had a hard time getting a firm peddle when bleedidg my bakes . now someone at work said to me after you done all four corners when you bleed the abs unit do not put your foot right down to the floor only a couple of inches 2.5 at the most then try this a few times and that should resolve the problem. thought id share that info withyou and ill be letting you know if it works.

Started to notice yesterday an odd squeak from inside the car. I've figured out it's coming from behind the small plastic grill in the centre of the roof but I've no idea what's actually causing it, all I know is it's electrical since it stops when I switch off the ignition. Does anyone know what it is, how to fix it or even what I'm talking about? Thanks, Daniel.

my swb exhaust is knackered but i have a stainless steel exhaust in storage from a lwb, i know obviously i would need to cut it down to fit the swb. is it possible to do this without damaging the exhausts performance
