Been thinking about replacing all the brake lines with braided hoses. Firstly, is there enough room under the car to accommodate the braided hoses. Secondly, does any one know how much hosing is required? and also how many and of what type banjo fittings are required? ( i dont have the car with me at the moment) Thanks Neil

Apart from bob and Jaffa who both own slicktops has anyone else got a cage? I know mad Marco has a half cage but again swb. So yeah information on Lwb cages please, where from how much etc. how much do these affect your insurance? The age old story is having one makes your car virtually uninsurable. I've also heard it makes very little difference so that would be helpfull also.

Z32s are now in the Honest John "Classics" guide! http://classics.honestjohn.co.uk/reviews/nissan/300zx-z32/ Apart from the factual errors (can you spot them?) it is nice to see our cars in the guide. The "buying guide" has a good one on manuals vs autos whilst the "running" section has links to both this club and the Zclub. The HJ site also has a section on Z32 MOT results: http://good-garage-guide.honestjohn.co.uk/mot/nissan/300zx You can drill down for each year ('89 to '94) and see failure rates by item on the test. Gives you something to think about before you have your own Zed MOT'd.

To cut a long story short, in a bizarre set of circumstances I have managed to trash my Ariel with my garage door! My question is, can I just replace the telescopic section or will I have to swap out the whole unit? Whichever option it has to be, can anyone explain how to go about it please?

I've been doing a NA diff conversion over the summer. The diff came without the 2 studs in the rear of the housing. So I got 2 M14x2.0 35mm bolts. I've fitted solid diff mounts but as I tightened one of the bolts up to 100Nm, it stripped. The other one is fine. Has this happened to any one before and if so is it possible to use a threaded insert to repair the thread? Chris

The new motor has a couple of scabs at the lower screen corners and found a big rust area on the back edge. So easier to swap for a rust-free one (cheers Mark) and fit the smooth skin. Spoiler was in the usual water logged state and fubar! Took the spoiler off to stop the Tailgate from keep dropping LOL! The Rear of the Pearl white replacement was then prepped and painted Platinum Silver so it can be fitted to the car............ Much easier to fit the skin and fill etc. :ninja:
